Wow! This is great! Mines has a crack already but this solve buying a new cover. Btw, you can buy just the cover case and not the whole remote. But thank you so much for this find.
Great video. I probably would have fixed mine that way had I known about the product. Mine recently broke and I superglued the broken piece back in. Then I mixed some JB weld and reinforced the weak area. If it breaks again I'll probably order the kit. Thanks for sharing this.
It's now $15 with $9 flat rate shipping. Still cheaper than replacing the remote just so the new one can break, but it's not just $10 anymore. It's $24. I just bought one 8 seconds ago.
Thank you for the update! I try to keep comments in the thread so hopefully others may see the change in price. Glad this video provided some value for you! 🙂
@@haystack17 thanks for watching! One company’s problem is another company’s opportunity I suppose. 🙂 Hopefully, this fix is a good work around for you.
@kingfisherkayakadventures honestly I do t have this issue ......yet.....haha. I won't have this stupid pile of garbage much longer. My steering transmission went out on me (another well known issue). Another Navonics brand with poor performance, known issues and zero service.
I break at least two Xi5 remotes per year. I was extremely pleased to find this quick, easy, and inexpensive fix. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing, just broke mine on a fishing trip yesterday! Glad I do not have to waste over $100
Glad I could help!

But thank you so much for this find.
You're welcome!
I watched. I bought. Thanks. Motor Guide should take note. Definitely a frustrating design flaw and so elegantly addressed with this product. Cheers.
Thanks Bryan! So glad this helped you out!
Thank you... I don't pick up my motor for a couple weeks, but ordered this to avoid the need to later!
You’re welcome and smart thinking! It’s only a matter of time before the plastic piece breaks, so might as well get ahead of it.
Thank you for the product and video. I purchased a T-15 but it was too big. I found a T-10 worked.
Good job. I am oredering one today. Thank you
Happy to help! If you haven’t already, please subscribe for more videos! Thanks!
Thanks for the video! My lanyard ring recently broke and this looks like a great solution. Just ordered one!
Thanks again.
You’re welcome! So glad it helped!
Thanks for your time
I have one and love it. I was able to find the correct type of phillips head screws at my local hardware store
Awesome!
Awesome
Thank you for watching and subscribing! 😊
Great video, just bought. Thank you
I don’t have a trolling motor on my Unlimited but that is some great product development! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Mike!

Glad to hear it helped! One of the best accessories I’ve ordered.

Anyone know what the screw sizes are in the stock remote? I need some replacements in stainless.
Are the screws stainless steel?
Those remotes are no water proof from day one. I have been through so many because they get wet and corrode inside.
it's $15.00 now plus $9.00 shipping to me. =$24.00.
Ok, thank you for the update! Even with shipping, a great savings versus buying a new remote.
Ten bucks... now fifteen bucks.
Yes, it’s been mentioned in the comments. Thanks so much for watching!
How many more "common problems" can this piece of trash company have. Piss poor products and even worse "service"
