This is HIGHLY one of animal jams biggest rules! Every “security Quiz”/ videos, etc. I see them talk about this. Even if the seller isn’t “scamming” it’s still against the AJ rules.
Unfortunately as selling in animal jam becomes popular (and is now the only way people get rare instead of working up for it) scammers will increase, and it’s really upsetting as it is real money over actual rares. It is unfortunate how people need the money though. Also currently! White bow ties are going for almost $200, the value is crazy and the fact people are actually trusting people not to scam at that value is crazy!
ive been scammed for over 100 $ in total when it comes to this from multiple people.. my stupidity never ceases but its just so incredibly hard and inflated to get anything in aj now, its the only option i had in mind but now im not going to do it anymore because of the scammers i cant trust anyone and i never know when ill get scammed next..
Actually AJ is not being lazy. it’s so hard to keep track and moderate what every player does in the game, especially when they’re constantly working on one game to the next. Please be considerate when talking about AJHQ. These are a team of real people too
Another reason i hate some scammers. They sell the items on amazon for real money or smthin, and then never give them the item Edit: thank you @MacNCheeseAJ for correcting me 👍
@@LeamonPuppy Trust me, I saw plenty of weird people using Pixie Hollow. My mom actually told me I wasn't allowed to buy anything with real money if it came from a random user, mainly because I told her about the user that almost scammed me. I recall their fairy's name was "Kate Twinklestone"... Long story short, I never saw them again. They ghosted me when I told them I needed Mom's permission. Never even knew they were scamming me until I started watching Animal Jam videos out of curiosity. Years later, I now know that I dodged a bullet. Also your videos bring back so many memories. Like I said, I never played AJ, but it reminds me of all the fun I had in Pixie Hollow. I miss that website... maybe someday I'll become a Jammer.
It’s odd how items for money is gaining popularity again. On AJC Magenta cat ears are current at an estimated worth of *$2,200* and owning them is extremely risky (several people have gotten their accounts banned by obtaining these). Imagine buying a virtual item with actual currency only to be permanently banned from your account, 2 grand down the drain. People who try to invest in this should seriously straighten up and be wise with their money.
when selling ( I don't but from what I see) is 1. have middles, especially trusted ones you know 2. make sure these vouches are actually corroborated by the person who sold/bought 3. make sure there is actual screenshots or even videos this goes for real money and in game transactions. so sad seeing this happen, especially with a known seller who is quite big in the community.
Still can't believe people are still falling for this (especially for rares) I just hate how some people act like they can get away with it after they scam someone
I used to be a scammer and I only wanted ice dragon wings sadly I failed to get my goal cuz my acc got banned but then I made a new one and I ended up getting the ice dragon wings for a fair trade so note: if u scam u will regret Edit this was 5 years ago so I was like 8 and I didn’t understand
I couple years ago I somehow convinced my mom to buy me forest gauntlets on eBay for like $20, I was lucky enough that the seller was legit (tbf they had hundreds of reviews) 😭
Currently on animal jam classic its been a big issue and if you call someone out sometimes people will get snappy at you- I think the main reason advertising on aj is easier to advertise is because of the shop option.
This video reminds me of another similar story about Animal Crossing players participating in the infamous “villager black market” where players have actually sold their villagers for real US dollars. Thankfully, haven’t discovered any scams there, but I could definitely see the risk where you don’t always know whether or not a villager will want to move away, so if something happens, and the villager leaves before you get the chance to complete an offer, someone could very easily end up screwed over.
He, a famous jammer at the time, was banned. AJHQ was willing to ban him for violating the rules, despite being famous, proving that they wouldn't be biased, and would properly punish all their players equally. ..fast forward a couple years, and players are doing so much worse and getting away with it.
I think the reason they’re avoiding banning sellers now is do to the large number of those that do it. They don’t want to lose a big portion of their already dwindling player base lol. It’s especially a big problem in classic, I heard
Leamon! Hello! I had been watching your channel for a long time and I love your videos! Can you make a vid about the not optional ads in animal jam? It’s just a suggestion ofc. Also, Im a fan :3
I used to scam people on ajpw turns out I have a mental disorder that makes me want to steal even items I don’t need and that’s why I used to scam people still get mad at me for being a scammer In my past when I was like nine.
I also hate scammers I had one who scammed me for blackout wings, moth bands, my one solid black armadillo lizard and three other pets. Then said I didn't scam u when I had the user stared and I asked are u going to scam me he said no I promise I will not but did it anyways when I gave him a chance to redeem himself plus I found his user and he has red double wings and a snowflake penguin how do u have all that but scammed me then told me idk where your stuff went but u where wearing my moth bands after i got scammed. 🤨 I'm just glad no one else got scammed tbh I would make a pack that protects ppl from scammers and tells everyone about a scammer if they find one that's just my opinion tho to try and solve this problem. Also nice video but also on August 13 I worked so hard I got my dream item an alpha and I was shocked guess all my hard work paid off now I just hope I don't get them scammed. Tbh I only sell because I feel more nervous with trading because that's how I get scammed I will never scam ppl from my shop I promise I never done it once in my life but I just have a fear of trading from my last scam that I can't get rid of so I hope I'm not in the wrong here. 😢

I remember when i first got scammed, i had traded up to a blackout bow (I was new at the time and didnt even know what scamming was) anyways i was so excited and the second day of having them i got scammed, then they made fun of me i was shook 😅 then i started bawling my eyes out 🥲

id prefer item sellers who dont scam, then those who scam via the trust trade
