For those wondering why permission error at 01:08:30 happened - it is due to git stores file in 644 mode (regular file) while executable scripts should be stored in 755 mode.

Hi, I have a task. I have a linux server containing a file. I need to connect to that machine, search for some text and replace that text with some other text (to be given as parameters). How can I achieve this through jenkins ?
You can add the linux server as a slave to your Jenkins, then you write the shell script to find the text in a file and replace. Other easier way is you can use ansible.
You can learn from this video and the playlist in my channel. Keep. Practicing as well. You cannot get a job just because Jenkins, you need to add more knowledge on cicd/devops and add other tools for better advantage.

Jenkins usually runs with Jenkins user, in slaves you can run Jenkins as a service and run with different user as well. When creating Jenkins instance using docker container you can also mention specific user like root to run the Jenkins.
I got the answer. There is a jenkins user that is created I see and when I can trying to execute a script its giving error. So I have to give sudo permission to jenkins user.

@@Thetips4you He means is no longer in the list of available plugins on Jenkins. I recently faced the same issue while following a tutorial where I was supposed to use publish over ssh. I went and did some research to know more about it and I learned that the plugin was removed because of some security issues. So that is it!

why suddenly the url changed from localhost to 192.168.XXXX? I thought we installed the Jenkins in local computer.

Looks like some network connectivity issue or port 8080 is already used by another apps. Kill the process running on port 8080 and restart Jenkins.
