A pair of Category 5 amplifiers, actually; and no pedals. If he wants a tremolo effect, he rotates the guitars volume control really fast! I've seen him live several times, and he's the real deal; and extremely funny as well. Of the last half-dozen concerts we've seen (including Ry Cooder, Los Lobos, Albert Lee, and Sonny Landreth), Tab was hands-down my wife's favorite. He is not to be missed when he comes to your town!

We've seen Tab live a number of times over the years both here in Florida and around New Orleans. Puts on a great show! The last time we saw him play the old Rock'n'Bowl venue on the downstairs stage he swapped places and did a long drum solo which was very cool. And this was after playing Jazzfest earlier in the day. Sonny Landreth played that same stage that night. The Iguanas and Anders Osborne were upstairs but we never got there.......... Thanks for this one Fil!

Every year for 15 years or better, Benoit has staged a free weekend festival in his home town for the sole purpose of allowing himself the chance to preach about water politics in the Mississippi delta. Great stuff, and lots of fun; we got to meet lots of top-flight players, and even to watch Tab sit in on drums, (!), with some other high school buddies. Anyhow, Tab's been a favorite since the early '90s; here's another guy that came to my attention around the same time, at the same crusty bar in Colorado: ruclips.net/video/gEy6Kbjjv6E/видео.html

@@drewpall2598 I certainly understand, but I also understand when you get older, like my age. ( I worked for many years in ER's and psych Facilities, working night shift, 12-14 hr shifts, tryng to sleep in day, when feel like rest of the world is awake! Burning that cande at both ends too much, WILL catchup with you eventually! But it's still a young man's/womans game, so I guess carry on as fast and long as u can there, Fil ! Your cd says it best "Persistence"!

Thank God for the internet. Without it I would never have heard of performers like Tab Benoit or Ruthie Foster or Eric Bibb or Joanne Shaw Taylor or Samantha Fish and many more. I guess, to a certain extent, in the artificial hierarchy of modern music, people like the one's I mentioned might be thought of as the second tier, but only if your shallow enough to think that way. The fact that I bought a brand new vehicle several years ago and still haven't turned the radio on, should tell you a lot about who I prefer listening to!
