The best time to trainspot on the north coast line (between Caboolture and Nambour) is on a Tuesday from 4:35-8:28 (times will vary based on which station you are at) if you go to the north coast line stations at that time, maybe move up a station each hour or something you will get the spirit of Queensland, peak hour services to Nambour, non passenger services back to Caboolture depot, the electric tilt train, the Gympie north train normally an ICE, spirit of the outback and any freight services that run around that time. Go in summer to get most daylight. Would be crazy to do the whole thing in one go, but I’ve done crazier
Should point out that time frame from 4:35-8:28 assumes you start at elimbah and finish at wombye, if you start and finish at elimbah then everything will go past from 4:35-7:15
Sydney Trains Vlogs and a last bit of detail, the best stations to watch the tilt trains go by is elimbah because it’s the only station that they will go 160 past (at least on the SEQ network), and the tilt trains will most likely pass on the left track facing Nambour
Great vlog at the station adjacent to Australia Zoo, Phil! I didn’t know you liked Steve Irwin! I’m a fan of Steve Irwin as well, but it’s sad that he was killed by a stingray😢. How’d you feel when you heard Steve Irwin had died? And did you know that that repulsive feminist Germaine Greer unsympathetically said that the stingray that killed Steve Irwin was the animal world taking its revenge on him shortly after his death back in 2006😡? Plus, did you watch Steve Irwin’s funeral service? Can you, for me, please do a trainspotting vlog at Adamstown, Normanhurst, Como, Holsworthy, Minto or Windsor🙂?
Great Vid Phil, My sister lives there and its a lovely place, Trains now operate off-peak every 90 minutes from Nambour to Ipswich.
was there a delay near Berwah because you said the IMU was 40 minutes late
Hi Phil, please show the scenery when passing thru this station, it was always a highlight to see Australia zoo
