CRIMSON JAPANESE STYLE PRICKING IRON: crimsonhides.com/collections/leathercraft-tools/products/crimson-irons All of my recommended lists are here: www.amazon.com/shop/leathertoolz
I just purchased several sets of Kyoshin Elle diamond chisels. They are a lot less than Crimson and are the best I’ve yet owned. Well made with Japanese steel. Very sharp and cut through and pull out of 15 oz leather with ease. The holes are very clean and the teeth to handle alignment is perfectly straight. Try them out, I think you will love them as much as I do. By the way, they have round handles that I personally find easier to handle than the flat. I really think that is a personal feel issue and has nothing to do with one better than the other.
I find it funny when people call tools professional. I seen people with expensive tools do crappy work. I've seen people do amazing job with less expensive tools.
Technique matters. If you don’t know how to saddle stitch, the tools won’t help. I have 5 different styles of irons, premium and cheap and can get good results from them all. Lately, I am digging the European style with flat tines/teeth. I feel they are better because you achieve smaller holes.
My problem usually with stitching chisels are how large the teeth are, but I solved it with the new ones I bought. I'm still too cheap to buy crimson hide though 😂😂

lol! Lynn you read my mind again. I was about to type that too.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
The comparison is not that fair because one of them is with diamond shaped teeth the other one is flat.
Hi! Crimson refined their teeth from diamond to rounded shape
1:20 That's NOT a pricking iron, it's a diamond stitching chisel! How can you make authoritative reviews, when you don't even know the difference??
