We used to go see these boys in Arlington, Texas every time they were in town. Always a good time!
I don't even remember where I heard it at, I have partied on 2 continents, I feel lucky to still know my name.
❤😂 used it for years✌🏼
Amazing, Alvin Crow..i love this Music 👍👍❤
One of my favorite memories is dancing the night away to AC and the PVB!
With Jesse Ashlock in the picture. Smooth Gary on bass. Roger on harp. 50 years goes by fast.
Saw Alvin & band live at a honky tonk called 57 Doors on Cedar Springs Blvd in Dallas circa 1974. Still have the debut album on vinyl!
Hi, Bobby Earl. Thanks for posting this. Happy (albeit weird) memories. Great tune.
My dad used to hang with Alvin and is band at the Ft Worth Stockyards in the 80's.
LOL. I saw them in a cow pasture somewhere near McLean or Groom. I was giving my Cali friend the Texas experience.
First heard this in W. Germany, early 1970s.
KFAT in Gilroy California used to play this regularly.
That's where I first heard it, and you could not buy that record anywhere in California. Luckily, I won a copy from KFAT back then. Drove to Gilroy from Monterey to pick it up.
I heard it too on KFAT. Check out the great book about the station by Gilbert Klein (R.I.P.)
I only have his first two albums, but i think Junior Brown was on at least one them. Back in the 70's...foggy memories.
Saw him at the Broken Spoke in August, 1988. Classic amalgam of Stoner Swing and...???
Soap Creek Saloon 70’s
Exactly
Cheatham street warehouse Thurs nights '70's Friday nites was George Strait
Regret I never saw Alvin Crow, but I did see this song performed live by Jesse Winchester in 1978.
Go to Austin. Alvin is still sawin' that violin and slinging some good western swing!
Saw him at Gruene Hall when I lived out that way.
Next to Bob W. my best swing boys 1979
I thought he was singing A restful lobotomy
