Magi (learned people from the east who studied astrology, medicine, and natural science) came in search of Jesus when He was born. From the very beginning with His birth, there was a strong connection with the east. His life and teachings do not make as much sense unless we see them from the standpoint of the east, from the standpoint of bhakti which is loving devotional service to God.
