Mister Mister - Hey John and Team! Hope everyone's getting excited for Morbius! I have been looking forward to this movie for quite some time now, and tonight I FINALLY get to see it. Well, I was looking over the reviews for this movie prior to heading in, and honestly I'm a bit worried! I don't want this film to be bad, and I hope that when I come out of this movie I can salvage the good things about it has my key highlights of the film, but so far not much I've read looks promising. So my question is, what are your guys thoughts on the reviews, and where is your anticipation level for this film before heading into it? Thanks and BOTF!

This movie was bad and a complete april fools joke. The editing was so jarring it was neckbreaking while also boring.
But the ad campaign was complete false advertising which makes this a true april fools joke

Saddest thing about this is that people think it's a Marvel movie. Feige would NOT have released it. He must really hate Sony right now.
I hate all of Sony's misleading advertising. They know they average person won't know that Feige and crew are being the success of Spider-man, not Sony. If I was Marvel, I'd do the best I can to start creating separation, especially with the multi-verse.
Glad they appear to be taking out the stuff that connects it to the MCU, because I'd be happy if they to keep this crap away from Feige and his franchise. And same goes for Venom, although I know a lot of people enjoy those films. Of course, No Way Home has pretty much already killed Tom Holland interacting with this botched Sony side franchise.
I liked Morbius. It's not the best movie, but it's also not that train-wreck people make it out to be.
Sonic 2 on the other hand... I got so close to leaving the theater. Worst movie I've seen since the re-opening

This movie felt like any particular scene was made up of shots and lines from any of 12 different scripts. It's very, very weird how bad it is. Oddly enough, Matt Smith was great (but his CGI looked like I Am Legend) and Leto really was good as the character. I would legit like to see the character himself again, just completely forget this movie happened.
I enjoyed it. Never let people sway your opinion before watching things. Obviously if you hate it or love it afterwards then cool but you can’t judge it before watching it

I don't know what Duran Duran song that other guy was referencing, but the way Campea was saying "Morbius" instantly made me think of pro wrestling. Specifically the theme song for current wwe (I think he's still there, I haven't watched in years) superstar Robert Roode. It's a very catchy number called "Glorious Domination" and when Campea said something towards the end about whether the movie will be terrible or GLORIOUS, that just solidified it for me. John Campea is a Bobby Roode fan, whether he knows it or not.
I feel bad for Jared Leto, man. Guy just can't seem to catch a break with these comic book films. I don't understand why geeks dislike him so much as an actor.
There’s definitely a pattern. He is so good in complex characters so maybe go back to what he is good at.

I never intended on seeing it but after i watched some of your videos talking about it i was thinking about it but now I can't be less interested so I'm going to wait and see sonic the hedgehog 2 instead i can't wait to see that movie
If if the critics are saying it bad, It must be somewhat enjoyable then. I mean as of late when critics say A Sony move is bad or boring, I tend to enjoy it and the audience usually enjoys it too ( Venom, Venom Let there be carnage, Uncharted)
I heard that Morbius is basically a short movie. It should have been longer. But maybe they just wanted an origin story for Morbius and then focus more on him later.

They were successful without MCU with Spider-man into the Spider-verse, Venom, and first two Sam Rami's Spiderman trilogy. It's basically a hit or miss with their films.
9:30 I thought they were gonna make a joke since what I know The Devil is the one turning Vlad the Impailer into the Dracula the vampire.
I really enjoyed the film I think the trailers threw it off because of all the false advertisement but after hearing they gut that part sure I was disappointed but I left the exceptions at the door and enjoyed it… post credit scenes was screwed up
The audience score is now around 65 percent and rising so this looks like this is a venom 2.0

Just got out of the movie and I got to sat this wasn't the train wreck as I was expecting i actually enjoyed more then the last two venom movies. I enjoyed the action and the acting was superb from Jared and Matt. There was a lot the trailer didn't show which I really appreciate and also enjoyed that its not trying to be a part of a larger universe there is a scene that does setup future movies but not to the extent that we were thinking

That’s funny, my issue with Morbius was always his aesthetic. There’s a reason why vampires don’t usually go full upturned bat nose. Like he got stuck changing from bat to vamp. It just looks ridiculous 🤦🏻♂️😅

It doesn’t come as a big surprise that this movie is getting bad reviews. Obviously Jared Leto doesn’t have the right fit for a comic book movie ( Suicide Squad, anyone?) so I may skip this one.

Even Venom to me had too much of a comedic tone, and Tom Hardy's little nicky impression drove me up a wall. So it's not looking good for Morbius.

It sounds to me like it’s gonna be a lot like the first Venom movie, which is to say not anything godawful but just really mediocre, which sucks because since Venom: Let There Be Carnage was a lot of fun I thought that maybe Sony was gonna be consistently improving their craft with their movies, but I guess not, I’m still not expecting this to be total bus fire or anything, I think at worst it’s just gonna be like one of those bland, forgettable superhero movies from the early 2000’s, I am still trying to guess what that supposed terrible post credit scene is that’s apparently one of the worst ever put in a comic book movie, my money is on us seeing a new Spider-Man show up, he takes off his mask and it’s revealed that our Sony-Verse Spider-Man is none other than Justin Bieber

Omw to my 7 PM showing rn. Just to put it out there, I was flipping through the channels today n came across Hook(1991). U know what RT gave that movie.? *29%.* I loved Hook when I was a kid, n to this day I love it the same. I only go off the audience scores more than RT scores when I’m interested in a movie. That’s just me. If the movie is bad, I’m gonna say it was bad. 🤣💯

Some people actually go to the movies to be entertained, not to expect a masterpiece or to pick a movie apart.
Not everyone cares what critics say or think 😉 We like to form our own opinions.
@@jcIIXVIIIVII I don't think he said that other can't enjoy it? I think his "don't push it" was in response to the insinuation that this film might get a sequel after how badly it's currently being roasted.
And of course watching and forming your own opinion is the best course, but I do think aggregated user (not critic) scores can be a good general indication of quality for a piece of entertainment. Your own opinion shouldn't be swayed by others but, at the same time, general consensus is an indicator and can help me temper my expectations before watching something.

Saw Morbius last night... It's boring, made out back from 2004, 4dx made it entertaining (somehow). The post-credits scenes made me do a facepalm. A Sony movie Sonyier than Venom 2. I hope they don't put Garfield with this MorBS.
Marvel made No way Home, and they “helped” a little with Venom. Morbius is Sonys baby, and it came out the ass covered in shit instead by the sounds of it…..

I didn’t think it was terrible at all but it is far from good, it was okay enough for me and I liked it to a point but the post credits scenes were just plain dumb, made no sense.

Venom was comic accurate
Morbius was released in the UK today and i've seen it . The film was not amazing but I don't think it was unredeemable either . There are some good ideas that probably could have been fleshed out but I really have to give credit to the actors for not phoning it considering the material they were dealing with wasn't as fleshed out as it could have been . Matt Smith for me actually gave the stand out performance of the movie for me . In fact his performance made me wish that he had played Morbius instead of Leto. Not that Leto was bad he was serviceable I thought but Matt Smith stole the show for me in a pretty safe inoffensive by the numbers movie. Smith's villainous character was the most interesting character in the movie . All the cast to be fair did the best they could with not very deep material. All the actors really tried.
The movie has one good big horror moment but probably doen't delve into this aspect often enough throughout film. Also for a film about a character who is a 'living vampire' or beomes one there is not a lot of blood in this movie probably because Sony (or should I say Avi Arad) wanted it to be PG-13. Maybe I just feel slightly more positive about Morbius because I had very low expectations due to reviews.

Agreed, you need to make him like a demon(scary). No anti-villian rubbish will pass. If these are villian stories then give us a villian. This is why Joker worked. Venom made money but it was whatever and same issue... it needed to get deeper and creepier into a brain eating creatures head.
