Thank you for this. My surgery is tomorrow and I’ve done the best I was able to. I stayed on point as best I was able. My pre-op diet was ALL LIQUID
I’m on day 2 of all liquid diet . I have had 1 spoon full of cabbage and ground turkey, and 1 chicken thigh. Do you think I’ll be ok?
I love how you said that you don’t think we get to an obese place with ourselves with love...thank you Erin, for your words, they are helping me to see in myself, how I struggle with self love!! I do hope that I will be as successful as you in my journey, to approach this whole experience with love for the gift of this body I have been given by our loving Heavenly Father, I know that the enemy uses my insecurities and I get stuck in my head believing his lies about who I am, thus is a stronghold and I’m ready to break these chains!!
Day 5 of my Pre Op diet. 3 shakes , chicken broth, 1 greek yogurt and up to 4 sugar free popsicles. 1st couple days are the hardest!
Matthew Marquez this is my exact diet!
I am doing it now and am only on day one and I want to scream!
So hard! Just started mine today!!!
Im on day 2 of my all liquid diet and i doordash… its hell
Is black coffee allowed?
I start my pre op diet tmrw. I’m soooo ready to knock this out and get my surgery in order to further maintain a healthier lifestyle !
I started mines friday 😩 and im trying to stay busy to not eat
I'm watching this in prep for my surgery in two weeks. Its so weird to see you here. I'm so used to the smaller you now!
I’m on the preop diet now and I’ve been starving, I’ve been contemplating having a little bit more chicken just to fill up, and based on your video I feel more comfortable listening to my body, my surgery is two weeks from now on the 19th of September, I’m so nervous and thank you for this video
I’m having my surgery on the 19th of September 2022 wow, how did it ago?
Girl, Thank you for being REAL!! What an inspiration.
Amen!
I love your real message. I know doctors don't do research into how long and how much it will take to get a patient to their goal of a less fatty liver, sooooo they tell all their patients to do the same general directions to get to the goal.
Thank you! Yes, so true! :)
My doctor said if you lose any weight pre-op, that is a strong indicator that your liver shrunk a bit too. They don’t do a Before & After ultrasound of ur liver or anything.
5th day of liquid diet. Surgery on Wednesday. I’m gagging a bit when I’m smelling my protein shakes. I normally HATE jello, but it’s my saving grace right now.
Day three of fourteen on a liquid diet..I would give a lot for a salad! All shakes here...😥
Me too... I got weak and shaky so I added salad. Hopefully it still goes well.🤦🏾♀
My surgeon allowed 3-4 proteins in addition with 2-3 hardboiled eggs (egg white only) sugar free powerade, gatorade or vitamin water, decaf tea, sugar free jello and popsicles.
Had VGS 1/13 right now I'm on PostOp. Erin thank you for all your videos and tips definitely have been helping me!
Going on third day of liquid diet. I’m hungry. My op is on the 24th (Merry Christmas, right?). This was a nice video. I’m excited!
Hi! Mine is the 23rd🥰 wish you luck!!
Good luck mine is on the 5th I’m starving
I just love your message. You showed yourself some grace through the process. I think that’s one key to success. 💕
Rebecca Yaghazarian thank you! 🙏🏻 grace is everything! ❤️
If ur gonna cheat, at least choose zero carb food like eggs, cheddar, regular cottage cheese, steak, and maybe a TBSP of peanut butter. Only have solid food ONCE every 24 hours. If you have ANY carbs or sugar in addition to these foods, you will not lose weight or shrink your liver. Carbs and sugar are the CAUSE of Fatty Liver and enlarged liver. If u have zero carb high protein food along with the protein shakes & protein drinks, u will not have cravings. You won’t think about carbs. You might be in the HABIT of having carbs, and THAT may mess with your head - but you won’t be craving them. But try to do the first few days of a 2 week pre-op with JUST LIQUIDS. This will really turn off the munchies and help you control the portions of zero carb cheat foods later in the 2 weeks. It’s most important to do only liquids the 3 days before surgery.
Amanda Athanas best advice!!!!!!!!!!💗
Makes so much sense
Thanks so much! 😊
You are a godsend and you made it sooo simple to understand. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!
Thank for this! I cheated but it was with bacon, sausage, eggs, and cottage. No or very low carb because I was getting nauseous.
I am 2 weeks pre op and I've been really struggling with my pre op diet. I really needed to hear this. You have such good tips. I love your videos and have been watching them for a few weeks now. Thank you Erin!
Glad they helped! Thank you so much!! 💜
U got this. Hope your procedure went well! 2 weeks to go here.
I am day 4 of pre-op for Bypass and I really needed this reset of my mindset of doing something good for my body and looking after my body. Thank you!!
Started my two week pre op diet this morning! The diet I've been given is pretty good, lots of protein containing soups, yoghurts, milk, fruit, stir fried veg and salads. I'm going to be trying my best to stick to it!
Great job! Keep it up! You've got this!💜
That would’ve been dream come true. I would aced it lol. 14 days all shakes and liquids 😒 rough
This is my second last pre op diet day before my bypass and I have been loving the food!
My pre-op included 4 weeks of liquid diet; shakes, Jello, pudding, yogurt, decaf tea/coffee, and similar. You are amazing I really enjoy watching your videos!
I really really hate that you basically have to have a "im human" disclaimer.. most of us do not have BARIATRIC health related problems .. we weigh what we do bc we have food additions. You are human! Love your videos
I’m on my pre-op didn’t right now and I am STRUGGLING with these liquids only!!
I cheated on my pre- op diet. 14 days of protein shakes and clear sugar free fluids. I could also have sugar free jello if I wanted. If I really needed something to chew (which was really a thing on a liquid diet), I could have a grilled chicken breast. I got really hypoglycemic and started shaking and feeling faint (I have insulin resistance, so low blood sugar crashes has been an issue since I was a teenager). I ate a handful of blackberries and instantly felt better, and then panicked and called my dietitian (who works at my surgeon's office). She assured me that it was okay and I didn't ruin shrinking down my liver with just a handful of blackberries. It is to get into ketosis and shrink your liver like you say, so the surgery can be performed easily. Your advice about starting the diet early is great. When I knew I was going to have my surgery, I already started eating healthier and testing out all the different brands of protein shakes. My family ate up all the unhealthy food out of the house so I wouldn't have that temptation around. On about day 6 of my pre-op diet, I was still asleep, and my mom baked some cinnamon rolls, and that smell wafted up the stairs, it woke me up, and I literally spent the entire morning crying because I couldn't have one. She thought I wouldn't smell it because I was sleeping, but I was having dreams about food. Plus this diet made me SO EMOTIONAL. You are breaking up with food, and half this journey is emotional. I was a binge eater and an emotional eater, and this diet does not fix your head. Luckily, I was in therapy at the time too, and that helped me, even though I wouldn't call myself a food addict either. I definitely don't recommend people cheat, but also none of us are perfect, but it is for our safety, and to make the surgery (which is very risky for obese patients) have less complications. It's so important to go into that operation as healthy as possible. How many years have we gone overweight and not feeling well? 14 days is nothing compared to the years I spent sick and overweight. Also keep to goal and the future in your mind like you said, it's the start of this opportunity to a new healthier life where you feel and look better. So again just 14 days, or 3 weeks for some of you, it's worth it. After the surgery, haha, all of us look back at the pre-op diet like it was nothing because after surgery it's so hard to eat and drink. But I have met dozens of weight loss patients because I went to a lot of support groups in the first few years after surgery. I have never met anyone who had regretted it, and I've never regretted mine for a day either. It's the best thing that I have done for my health, I feel so much better in every way, yes it was a difficult recovery, and I have to check myself every year or so because I have plateaued or start gaining weight back, but this is for life and I am so happy that I did it.
I just had me some ravioli and ice cream omgggggg the best thing I’ve ever had lol 😂 I’m glad I’m not the only one! I’m on day two and I am dying!!!! 😩😩 but tomorrow is a new day!!! 😅😅
Food addiction is REAL! I’m glad I found your video thank you for the words of encouragement.
You are so welcome
I love that your honest and real because it is hard and they make last too long .
Diana Peter it is definitely hard but it’s just a small stepping stone when you look back. 😊
I needed this video today. Thank you. I am currently on the pre-OP diet and was literally going crazy. I now dont feel so bad for having the little bit of bread and cheese I ate today.
I ate out of my pre-op 3 week fast. But it wasn't major (everyday or binge) today is the day of my surgery and I just had two croissants & my last protein shake. Over the last three weeks, I did add a bit of meat and would have low carb/veges/protein added. Sooo happy to see this thank you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m on Day 4 of liquid diet. This video was so helpful thank you. Can’t wait surgery is Jan 6 2021😊
my doctor had me do two weeks of plain chicken, turkey, and egg whites and now i'm on day two of the clear liquids only diet for my surgery tomorrow and my family ordered mcdonald's and ate it in front of me soooo i'm struggling a lotttt
@@billyjrthethird8666 I know the feeling it sucks. Christmas Day was very hard for me. I just keep reminding myself I’m doing this to improve my health 😊
Mine is January the 5th and my doctor put me on clear liquids and yogurts only.
@@ZaimenKesy mine is tomorrow, i hope your surgery goes well!
How much have u lost since surgery
Today was my second day of my liquid diet. It is hard. I am allowed 3 protein shakes, a cup of berries or 1/2 cup of beans as a snack and 1 meal that consists of salad and 3 ounces of protein. I found your video helpful. Like you said towards the end, It is mentally and emotionally tough.
My Bariatric journey to surgery lasted 18 mos. Covid made dr. visits impossible. Now have surg date in 8 days. Did last blast final flings for best loved foods all summer. Funerals for pizza, burgers, cheesecake etc. Helped when I got my dates for pre op. Best wishes to all getting better. 69% of enrollees drop out b4 surgery.
Love your honesty!!!
I told my good friend I just got approved by the insurance for this. She went on and on about how I shouldn't "take the easy way out" and should just diet and exercise and I will lose the weight.. ( I have done that and I had to starve myself.. and when I exercised excessively - it made me even more hungry). I wanted to pull my hair out. I told her this is NOT the easy way out -- it is hard. And I wanted to not discuss it anymore. NO ONE in my family or friend circle are supportive. Part of the problem is that i am not very big.. a size 10-12 (5'5") at 185-190 lbs. I got approved because I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol and high triglycerides...(also pre-diabetic, like only 2 points away from being diabetic but that wasn't counted in regards to why the insurance approved me).. But I can NOT lose more than 15 lbs and to do that - I have to starve myself. I feel pretty alone right now because of the lack of support... your videos have given me comfort and made me feel less alone. Your personality is so perfect and realistic. Thank you.
Surgery is NEVER the easy way out. Dont let them put things in your head. I hope your procedure went good. I just got approved for mine. Pray for me.
@@charlespropes1340 It went great! I was down to 135 lbs in about 4 months.. it now has been 8 months and I have pretty much stop losing weight at 135lbs but I am happy. I wish I had done it sooner. Congrats on getting it approved. I am so happy for you! I wish you luck. You got this!
I think my hardest part will be learning how to cook all over. And, learning what to eat.
@@charlespropes1340 I was scared about that too, but you get used to different foods and don't crave the same things anymore. They cut out the part of your stomach that has your "hunger" hormone in it & it really does change your tastebuds. It is strange. You're going to do great and have nothing to be worried about. Keep me updated on your progress..
My surgery is scheduled for August 2nd and today is my first day on my pre op diet and I’m a stress eater. 😩 I just keep telling myself to stay strong 💓
Find something to substitute. Frozen ice or something to help trick yourself with the oral fixation rather than the eat part? It’s hard! I’ve totally been there.
@@MyLevel10Life Thank you for replying back ❤️ I’m almost two weeks post op! And I’ve been struggling I can’t keep anything down, I’ve been throwing up and the acid reflux has been a pain in the butt!!! But I’m hanging in there ❤️
@@accessorydripzz2919 I’m so sorry you’re dealing with that. Have you checked in with your doctor about not being able to keep anything down?
I’m scheduled for gastric bypass surgery on 12/28th. I’m so glad I found your channel. I am so glad that you are transparent about having cheated on your diet. Even I’m very mildly cheating on my pre-op diet because I throw up if I don’t. It helps to avoid nausea. You looked beautiful even before and you look even more fabulous now.
I enjoy your videos I love your mindset and how you think through things it’s helpful you got a lifer here
aww. thank you Emma! :)
Watching your videos have helped me control my nerves soo much! 😌 I am having mine done on May 25th and need to do pre-op for 3-4 weeks! I am tripping about not being able to push through like I need to. 🙁 Thank you for all these tips/tricks! You look great! 🥰 Telling myself I GOT THIS! 💪🏼❤️
Hey Chely, my surgery is on May 9th. My surgeon doesnt require liquid preop diet, just low carb 1200 calorie diet. I think I will probably do liquid only 3 days prior...... best of luck to you with your new life! I'm so thankful for the RUclips VSG community, it has helped me immensely!
I agree. I have nerves just deciding if surgery is the right thing for me. Watching the videos really really helps me know that if I do decide to do this that I will have the support of all those that have gone before me. Thank you all !🤗
Have you ever done a video about all the essential oils you used or still use? I’m very interested in that and also what were all the vitamins you took pre-op. Thanks and continued success! Glad to know you were and are praying!!! God Bless!
I have mentioned a bit in a few videos but I will see what I can do 😁 Thanks for asking! Love that you appreciate those videos.
Thank you for your honesty.
My surgery is scheduled for 12/31. I’m on day 3 and have 4 days left. Pray for me.
❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
@@kanye729 my preop diet was a struggle but once I got over that headache I was good. Now I’m almost 2 weeks out from my surgery (post op) and about to start my purée stage. And the 2 week liquid diet post op is harder than that 7 day pre op. Mind over Matter. Keep yourself occupied.
My surgery date is June 6! Thank you for giving back!! And you rock because you are honest! 💜
My surgery date is also 6/6/23
@@jahsydhoop462 Good luck to you and I pray all goes well! You got this!
Thank you so much for this video , I was so frustrated on what to eat until I prayed about it and then watched your video 🙏🏾
I really appreciate you so much for making this !!! I am on my liquid diet right now . I cheated yesterday and feeling so bad about myself . My surgery is 6 days away
How did it go ? Did you have the surgery?
I cheated and drunk alcohol like 3 days ago and my surgery is October 31
I’m a 3.5 weeks from surgery and 1.5 from my preop diet, I “treated” myself to foods that I won’t be able to “enjoy” after surgery and honestly nothing hits they way it has in the past, like I don’t even see the sense in finishing somethings, I feel like after you make the decision, you flip a switch in your brain and even though there is a process and journey, you already start breaking down those walls.
I’m having to do the 2 week liquid pre op. It’s so hard.
Me too... It absolutely is.
I just today am finishing a 4 week complete liquid diet only liquids. I’m 2 weeks post op and I had to do 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after. I’m so excited to move to purée and soft tomorrow. I cheated once during the first 2 week pre op. After the first week I had a eggnormous breakfast burrito jr from BK. That was my cheat lol by the way, I love watching your videos. You are so pretty. Prettiest eyes ever!!
melissa brown aww thank you 🙏🏻
My BMI is 39 and the surgeon said that because of my "low" starting weight (!?!) I would not even need to do a pre-op diet if I didn't want to. You can be sure I will still do it, I want to be as small as possible to reduce the complications risks. The pre-op diet is the least of my worries. I'm scared about everything else tho! (Surgery itself, needles, anesthesia, complications, etc)
I have a copy of the liquid diet my doctor will require and it seems doable. I have started “practicing” by following the diet. I have my first appointment of the 3-month requirement with the nutritionist March 1st and the psych evaluation March 5th. I am hoping by doing this my body won’t go into to much of a shock.
Scheduled for surgery on 1/5/21. I started changing my diet about 6 months ago. I started cutting out sugars, eating lightly at lunch and a reasonable dinner. I lost about 30 lbs this way. I was required to do 6 weeks of Pre-op. Same as you. Have lost almost 30 additional lbs. So I'll have lost nearly 60 lbs prior to, but the BEST part is how these changes have helped me think differently about food. So these MENTAL changes have been SO important. I see others really struggle with the pre-op diet and post-op liquid diet and I look at it like- Ive been fighting this battle for 6 months. I can take a few more weeks. Im strong enough to do this and be successful.
What do you think about flying with COVID rampant? My surgery is February 16 & have to be there for Valentines Day. I’m afraid Biden is going to close borders. I was scheduled for Jan 8 before Biden takes office, but had some health issues & had to reschedule & the next month all they had was the 16th. My sister is going to a different clinic next week; we’d schedules together at first but she didn’t want to pay extra for my surgeon. I’m really worried about COVID.
So glad i found this video. Im 3 days in and I can only have 4 protein shakes and clear liquids. I posted on Facebook that I wanted a cucumber cuz i wanted something crunchy and people shamed me for it.
I've already lost 30 pounds on my own and cucumbers are 95% water so I don't think it throw me off track lol. I also researched a lot of pre-op diets and noticed they vary a lot. Some are strictly clear liquid and some allow a small lean meal.
It sounds like you're doing great! I understand that craving and I don't think it would be the end of the world. Just don't let it bounce you off track! You got this! 💜
I start mine in 8 days for my vsg
I get 3 shakes a day
Broth (veggie,chicken,beef)
Water of course
Sugar free jello
Miso soup
My surgery is scheduled for August 5th and I’m really nervous. But starting my pre-op diet today to get under the 50 BMI! I’m literally 50 on the dot
My date is August 12th. I'm so nervous but this diet is hell
@@britneydouglas143 how are you doing?
How are you doing since surgery @living in favor?
I'm getting my gastric sleeve surgery in 13 days... I'm 2 days in on this optifast diet and I've found some ways to tolerate it a little better... I use flavored extracts and added it into the drink. I need to drink 7 a day for 2 weeks. I'm having a very hard time but I'm trying to be optimistic and drink it while I plug my nose. See, I am 16 with autism and have bad sensory issues, but I need this surgery or it's life or death for me. I was told I'm allowed to drink flavored waters and Gatorades with it which helps me a lot.
I cheated on my preop diet, surgery is next week and I'm so nervous but this helped
Just do your best from here on out! Drink lots of water, follow everything as best you can! Give yourself grace! Take some epsom salt baths and relax! You've got this!!
I accidentally cheated, I order mixed veggies and didn't find out Unil after they had oil
I am having my surgery on the 24th. I’m on the clear liquid diet and it’s my first day and I’m hungry.
I'm doing 3 protein shakes a day and 3 cups of veggies. I slipped up and ate some pistachios 🤦🏾♀️
End of day 3 on my pre-op and I swear I'm about to eat the wall. My sister was bigger than me and didn't have to do anything for pre-op. This some BS for real. Mine is straight liquid only. 🥺
I made it to 8 days and gave in during a family bbq. Mine is complete liquid too.
Me too! I’m 357 now and it helped get off 10lbs so far but it’s dang torture! I just want some veggies and salmon :(surgery is Friday…gosh it needs to hurry
Nice video. I’m scheduled for my sleeve on 2/12. I’m kinda nervous what my pre-op diet will be like although I know I need it. I’m mainly getting it because of my hormones causing me to gain weight especially when I stress. I’m currently 259. That’s the highest I’ve ever been in life. My father passed Nov 5th and I’m Oct he started getting really sick. I gained about 20lbs between Oct and Jan and I was barely eating so I’m glad I’m getting this surgery. This weight is no joke especially since I have fibromyalgia and arthritis all over. I’m a pescatarian and have been for about 4 years now. In 2016 I was 250 from being on steroids. I lost about 50lbs by April (and I wasn’t even pescatarian yet). I was still eating meat. I was down to 202. I’m pretty muscular so I actually looked like I was about 160. I kept the weight off until October 2018 when I started stressing because I had to find a house to move to in a hurry. I gained almost 30lbs but I wasn’t eating differently at all. I wasn’t eating meat, snacks, soda, juice etc but I still gained all that weight and kept gaining. I knew it was my hormones because my face started breaking out in these big cystic bumps the same things that’s happening now. So I’m really glad I chose this path. I’m tired of the weight gain and my body hurting and not being able to maneuver like I used to because of the weight.
I started supplementing almost 3 years ago. I came off 4 out of 5 meds, I was able to walk again, just a lot. Crazy thing that happened after I got way healthier... my gallbladder went nuts. I will be having gastric sleeve on the 26th. I am gunna check out your channel. Ty for sharing.
Hell yes I did LMBO I am killing myself over eating a can of sardines lol and I got like 11 more days on this hateful horrible liquid diet
I did 3 months on opti fast 4 shakes a day with 1 cup of broth, and I could have sugar free jello, pudding, and popsicles. It was hard but it got easier!
Thank you 🙂 it's day 4 I have 3 more days left and then my surgery today has been challenging😟
Tracey Perryman you can do it! You’ve got this! 💗🙌🏻
How did your surgery go
Tracey Perryman this day 3 of 14 for me
I just started my Pre-op diet on my 2 day now. And I’m getting really bad migraines 🤕 I know it wasn’t going to be easy , but migraines added sucks. Hopefully it goes away.
I'm on day 3 and the migraines are awful.
I cheated too. Cream of celery soup. Loaded baked potato soup.
I love your honesty, your mindset is great. Did you do any counseling during your pre-op diet?
Yes I did
You’ve been so inspirational to me, I had to mention you in one of my videos! You are amazing girl!
Hello it’s me The girl who got VSG aww thank you ☺️
Thank you for the positive.
I had a lot of “last meal(s)” before my surgery. Lol I didn’t have to do a liquid diet at all. But now I can pretty much eat anything except too much sugar. Ice cream makes me so sick I don’t even bother.
CurvyGirlLoves yes! Ice cream isn’t good to me either 🤷🏻♀️
coffeeCHATchick I'm having my surgery on Wed 9th and they said last meal should be today at noon prior surgery.. I feel bad cause I ate alot!! Do you think I'll be fine?? I'm nervous!!
Yuri Cazares I was able to eat up to midnight the day before. You should be fine. Just try to poop before surgery. Lol
You'll be great. And today is your surgery!!! Congratulations!!! Welcome to the "losers bench!" You're going to have an amazing transformation journey! :)
Thank you for reframing the pre-op diet as a loving approach to yourself. That is so wonderful.
Can you do an oils video? I absolutely love my Young Living oils!
Which oils???
I so appreciate your honesty
I’m in australia. Just ticking off day 1 of my pre op diet... 3 x optifast protein shakes a day wit water & 2-3 cups of certain Veges only. Wish nw luck! I had to fast this morning too because surgeons require bloodwork just prior to diet. This is just a season!
You go make me cry ... I can’t have solid food for 2weeks. I couldn’t do it ! I am a stress eater and I need help. This is hard and your video has helped me. I have my surgery on the 10/7/20. Thank you so much !! Maybe I need to postpone my surgery because I cheated. Thank you !! I am new to your channel... I subscribe.
Nope! Surge ahead, Leticia! You’ve got this! ❤️🙌🏼
This is so random but that's my birthday. :)
How did it go I cheated too my surgery is this Tuesday
10:20 made me cry :/ so true.
My surgery is on the 19th. I’m truly scared for the diet but now I’m more optimistic
It’s a doozy. But it’s real, honest and the truth. Because that is who I am. I know I’ll get criticized and some won’t agree and I’m okay with that. We all are different and walking different paths. ✌🏻🙏🏻 #gratitude
I started my pre op diet the day after thanksgiving 😅 I’m counting the minutes until my surgery. I had a headache so bad on Saturday and I was out and about so I had a chic fil a market salad with grilled chicken. 😅
I cheated and felt guilty the next day.
Hi, so hv done yr ops?
This is my second time around I have the gastric sleeve 15years ago and I developed gurds and know I'm transitioning to the gastric bypass I'm on day 5 of my liquid diet and this diet is driving me nuts and the headache from not eating is killing me I'm trying very hard to not cheat but I don't know how much longer I can take this all liquid diet
What oils did you use. I meet my surgeon on the 8th of November. I'm excited but nervous. I'm proud of you and all you have accomplished.
I just ate chicken and rice while cooking for my son. I’m so frustrated my surgery is on Tuesday. I pray they don’t cancel it

Get back on track, you got this!
😆me too! Well I say 5 days full liquid other days soups and couple bowls. I had 2 weeks total. Thank goodness dr didn’t ask today if I ate 👀 I mean I’m sure they see when the get in there but I plan to take some miralax and clear out starting tomorrow . I did stay diligent and didn’t sneak with anything sweet. We can do this

My pre-op diet is 2 weeks of FULL LIQUIDS. No meals, only 5 cups of certain green vegetables, no milk, 5 shakes a day....I wanna die inside....💀💀
Im on day 4, no solid food whatsoever. I had a bite of refried beans today and felt terrible, but I think ill be okay because im so far out. I am so hungry its insane..
It gets better! 💜 happy healing, my friend.
I will have my bypass surgery on Nov 2
Feeling nervous …
That is understandable. Thinking of you and wishing you luck in your journey💜
@@MyLevel10Life thank you 😍
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! I cheated twice! My surgery is in 9 days. I ate 2 chicken wings and I felt like such a loser. The 3rd day in I had a high protein bowl from chipotle and protein shakes the rest of the day.... Still felt like a loser. I've been eating so clean and well but this liquid diet is KILLING ME!!!! I just want a salad. I don't see how salad could really hurt but they said liquid is best to shrink my liver😞
Same! I wish salad was on my approved list!!😭 I just got my surgery date today and my liquid pre op diet starts 9/23
@@Catherine-nv7wc I'm on day three of my pre-op diet and will have my surgery on 9/23.🙂
@@Ldm0320 how's it going so far? Is the liquid diet better or worse than you expected? Which surgery are you having?
@@Catherine-nv7wc
I'm having the Sleeve. The first two days were brutal but now I'm doing ok (I'm on day 5) When I get hungry I just follow my diet and try to keep hydrated. The desire to cheat is REAL though. I think about it all the time but so far I have not. I keep imagining the doctor starting the surgery, declaring that he cannot finish because my liver is too large and sending me home.
That one thought keeps me on track! Lol
@@Ldm0320 omg I've thought of that too!!! I don't know anyone that's happened too, but I've heard that surgeons have done it before! Could you imagine waking up in the hospital without surgery? I'd be devastated! I'm having the sleeve too. Good luck! Come back to comment to let me know how you're doing!!
Today is my pre op diet starts!! I’m scared! Help!
Many surgeon’a allow a 1200 calorie diet (2
Wish I could have a salad

` My Surgery Is In 6 Days On 02/23, I Want A Oatmeal Pie Sooo Bad🥺 The 2 Week Diet Is A Buzz Kill, I Haven’t Had Anything Sweet in Forever 😩
Girl you are awesome! I would've just paid the $400 extra. You rock !!!
I didn’t have it 😞 we had SO much debt. But on the journey I got debt free!
I am on day 6 of my 2 week liquid diet and I took a small bite of my son's pizza and I was really beating myself up because of that small bite.. this makes me feel a little less guilty..
Good! You're only human!😉
Starting pre op diet the 18th of November nervous about it
Hi 😊
Thank you for posting. What shakes were you drinking please? Was it something like slimfast or do you have a good recipe for a few shakes?
m722magdalene I Love doTERRA protein
m722magdalene premier protein ready made shakes, they have a variety of flavors. Can buy them at supermarkets, Walmart ect
Day 3 on 14 pre-op diet. 2 shakes & 1 super small meal. But I'm already struggling.
Hi Erin. I love all of your videos so much. When you did the pre op early did you have coffee with cream, was the 5-6 ozs of meat weighed before or after cooking? My surgery is no until Thanksgiving, but I wanted to start a diet before that. I want to see if I can can my mind and body in the right place. My pre op is only one meal, so I will do that when needed, but not early. I want to try what you did- 3 shakes, Veggies, two salad, and veggies.
Yes I did cream.
you had a food funeral on the cookies lmao
I'm on Day 7 of my pre-op diet and I really want to cheat but I'm trying not to. I have surgery on next Wednesday. Trying to stay strong.
