Damn is it me or does Chris suffer the most in the Resident Evil Games first when he lost his Stars comrades in the Mansion then when he thought that Jill died Then he lost his men killed by Carla which caused a PTSD then Piers died to protect him and in Resident Evil 7 he lost his men again against Lucas...

How much bullshit has ethan gone through as a normal dude and survived what he did plus training on top of it. Chris should have trusted him with the truth. Ethan had what it took skills wise to be one of the main leading characters of the franchise Chris has dealth with up to this point and he didn't even have a cop background like leon did to aid him. then maybe things would have gone differently had ethan known the truth so he could make different decisions and even help chris work towards the same goal. I think deep down chris knows he fucked up on that part its why the cover art he looks down and sorrowful while the wolf half of him represents his focus on the mission despite the cost. I just wished Capcom created the story of village in a better way to not have chris act like a shady as fuck character in the beginning. He still could have went with the excuse of not wanting ethan to get involved but that is what the attempted detention could have been for. You could still write a story of chris not allowing ethan to get involved without keeping him resting on the belief his wife just died. It's a big issue i have with how they handled chris in village personally. Otherwise from that i thought chris was cool as shit in this game and i actually like the new voice actor as much as i did like roger smith.
Howya Doin you kidding? re5 is objectively worse than 6. atleast 6 has a good story and characters that fit the game. it also has a fleshed out coop system. it also doesnt have characters that are bland and have nothing interesting about them (sheva,josh). also if were talking spinoffs since you mentioned ORC and umbrella corp. you can also add re survivor to that list.

Sad scene indeed. Cought me by surprise the first time i watched it, it was so emotional , felt like a real movie. As for people asking why he didnt go along with Chris, it is explained in files that even when the vaccine for the C-Virus was made (6 months later as you can see at the end of Jake´s campaign), it only works as a preventive measure, since applying it to an alredy infected person has a high chance of killing the host, and applying it to someone who alredy shows mutation by the virus (Piers) proves 100% fatal. Farewell, Piers! :(
i dont understand why the majority of fans hate this game yea i know its less scary and has less emphasis on survival horror but it has one of the greatest story moments in the entire series like that time where leon and chris faced off

This made me tear up the last time I played this. Piers grew on me throughout Chris's campaign. He brought the old Chris Redfield back into action after no longer wanting to serve for the BSAA since the incident with his squad. He definitely goes down as one of the best Resident Evil characters in my book.
When you think about how Chris lost STARS Bravo team and all his co-workers in raccoon city and couldn’t make umbrella face justice at first, and then in RE5 BSAA alpha and delta teams were also wiped out and in RE6 his first squad was nearly wiped out and then the death of piers at the end it makes you realize Chris has been through some serious problems. It makes it easy to realize the meaning of the title of the RE7 dlc “not a hero” not to mention his comment in the beginning of the animated movie RE: Vendetta were he’s talking with that one soldier. Anyone can think Chris might be a hero for surviving such disasters but to himself Chris never thinks of himself as a hero and still continues to whoop bioterrorist ass

Seriously, i cry every time i see that scene. It just get me, i mean, Piers was such a great partner, loyal and faithfull. Always supporting his captain no matter what. I really wanted more of him on the next games but:( He has become one of my favorite character of RE.

I'll be honest, before Resident Evil 6, I really wasn't a fan of Chris. I found him rather generic, your typical video game hero. It didn't help Capcom had to go and kill off Wesker so early (or at all, the guy's the Darth Vader of Resident Evil). But Resident Evil 6 finally gave Chris a personality. It made him relatable and it made him incredibly sympathetic. Having a great character like Piers, who was a massive step up from Sheva, also really helped. By the end, maybe Chris's campaign wasn't the best in terms of gameplay, but in terms of story, I think it was.
+ 1, i think Chris on RE 5 was the Cliché super hero, but in RE 6 is a wasted captain, ghosts from the past, angry and asshole: that's make him a more human character: with emotions, with fails and doubts. He's my favorite character and was a great campaign.

Resident evil 6 has finally given chris some true personality about himself. In resident evil 1 and 5 it didnt show much of his real personality aside from ass kicking. This truly shows his character, how he reacts when they are in a dire situation that pits one of them to make the ultimate sacrifice, and how he views his teammates and partners. Rather than to be selfish about himself, he shows he cares about his members as true captain.

after many times playing RE 6 over and over, i just can't skip the ending of Chis campaign, Pier's face the moment he decide to sacrifice himself, I don't feel it a video game any more, he looks so real to me.
Piers was awesome in this game and it was such a sad scene watching Chris not wanting to leave Piers behind but Piers knew he was done for and wanted his Captain to have a chance to escape out alive. Very emotional scene.
He lost most of his teammates from the 1st game thanks to Wesker, him being one of the survivors. Probably lost some teammates in the spin off games.Thought Jill died till the reveal when he confronted Wesker. Saved Sheva from falling of the plane. Guess ever since Wesker's death, he thought things would be easy...till what happened to his BSAA team.
If you remember before the underwater mission starts Chris told Piers he was gonna stop being a soldier when all of this ended and Piers was shocked and angry at Chris for it as he wanted him to continue being a leader. I guess Piers didn't just die for BSAA he died so Chris could continue being a hero...
I will never forgive Capcom for taking Piers away from us nor will I ever recover emotionally from his death. No one else in the RE universe who died impacted me as much as Piers did. I knew Jill wasn't dead at the beginning of RE5 because she's too iconic to have died prior to the game and us as the players not be in control of the situation leading up to her death. But Piers, my god Capcom did us so fucking dirty by giving us a perfect character and then ripping him away.

My guess is Piers knew the risk if he inject himself with the c virus and if he goes to Chris redfield he will soon lose control of himself and he will try to kill Chris. That's probably why he sacrificed himself to stay behind he doesn't want to die as a monster and he doesn't want to kill his captain. Piers is one fine soldier and he made the greatest sacrifice of all.

Everyone says that resident evil 6 is the worst game. For me its one of the best! Maybe its not so horror but it has great story. Espesially chris story in my opinion. It has very good actions. Also i played the game for second time with a friend in co-op and we enjoyed it so much!!! I love resident evil 6. Great story dude! Chris redfield!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the story of the non co-op games in the series but at the end of the day it's a video game and being able to play with someone else is why 5 and 6 are my favorite in the series.

Piers was awesome in this game and it was such a sad scene watching Chris not wanting to leave Piers behind but Piers knew he was done for and wanted his Captain to have a chance to escape out alive. Very emotional scene.
When me and my buddy reached this ending, he grabbed his phone and played "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing"

He lost most of his teammates from the 1st game thanks to Wesker, him being one of the survivors. Probably lost some teammates in the spin off games.Thought Jill died till the reveal when he confronted Wesker. Saved Sheva from falling of the plane.
Guess ever since Wesker's death, he thought things would be easy...till what happened to his BSAA team.

If you remember before the underwater mission starts Chris told Piers he was gonna stop being a soldier when all of this ended and Piers was shocked and angry at Chris for it as he wanted him to continue being a leader.
I guess Piers didn't just die for BSAA he died so Chris could continue being a hero...

I will never forgive Capcom for taking Piers away from us nor will I ever recover emotionally from his death. No one else in the RE universe who died impacted me as much as Piers did. I knew Jill wasn't dead at the beginning of RE5 because she's too iconic to have died prior to the game and us as the players not be in control of the situation leading up to her death. But Piers, my god Capcom did us so fucking dirty by giving us a perfect character and then ripping him away.
Totally agree with you!! Piers was an amazing character I will never forgive Capcom for what they did to Piers!! Many times something brings him back to my mind and get depressed was so sad lost him but I still have hopes he’s alive!
This is the finish of Resident Evil series for me. Without Piers, every series will be nothing for me.
If they bring back Albert Wesker in a future game after getting shot missiles in the face in a lava infested volcanoe, why not Piers?

My guess is Piers knew the risk if he inject himself with the c virus and if he goes to Chris redfield he will soon lose control of himself and he will try to kill Chris. That's probably why he sacrificed himself to stay behind he doesn't want to die as a monster and he doesn't want to kill his captain. Piers is one fine soldier and he made the greatest sacrifice of all.

Maybe its not so horror but it has great story. Espesially chris story in my opinion. It has very good actions. Also i played the game for second time with a friend in co-op and we enjoyed it so much!!! I love resident evil 6. Great story dude!

Love the story of the non co-op games in the series but at the end of the day it's a video game and being able to play with someone else is why 5 and 6 are my favorite in the series.
Like I guess Leon story was decent at the beginning and Chris had best ending sherry and Jake was actually fun and Ada one was short but enjoyable
