Watching that last “sappy” scene is why I have stuck around your channel for 10 years! You continue to inspire me. I love how you wear your heart on your sleeve, never change! 💕💕
"it was 9 pm" looool just wanted to say im SO grateful for the podcast! listening to it while i get ready to go out on friday gives me that little burst of energy to keep looking for the right person for me
To make a slurry, just measure out the flour into a small bowl - use one tablespoon to thicken a small amount of sauce or up to four tablespoons for a big bowl of soup. Add a cup or so of the hot cooking broth to the flour and whisk until they're completely combined
Jack is so funny in your video. Keep the Jack content coming. It was so funny when he said he was glad the I love you was reciprocated because the picture on the wall would be awkward then. 🤣
happy monday, sweet katy! i've been subscribed to your beautiful channel since your very first city apartment. you have become such a big role model to me! hope you have a very peaceful and happy week. loved the vlog as always! ❤
My family has the best stew recipe. It’s very standard as a beef stew, but the main difference I think is the way they do the beef to start. They take raw chunks of beef and coat them in seasoned flour then sauce that. You can get seasoned flour in the store or at farmers markets. Of course the stew has the regular ingredients like celery, carrots, potatoes, onions, etc. But, this makes the stew more flavorful and thicker. 10/10 if you do it I swear!
Wondra by pilsbury is the fool proof way to perfect soups and stews consistency🥰!!! Little goes a long way! Making a big pot of ginger lemon chicken soup today💜
The sharper your knife, the less you will cry when you cut onions. Also you can make a little 'roux' of flour and oil, or flour and butter, like 2 tablespoons on each, and add it to you stew to thicken (the temp needs to get up to 185F to cook the flour, you can go hotter but at least just before a simmer), you could also toss the meat in flour and salt and pepper before cooking, this would add enough flour to thicken it. And you could just make a slurry of flour and water like you would with cornflour, flour gives a more opaque, hearty gravy than cornflour.
Not making fun of Jack but it would be interesting to do a color swatching with him. There’s different levels of color blindness. Again I’m just intrigued I don’t want anyone making fun of him! I am a specialized certified tutor that helps retrain the brain for reading, writing & comprehension for English as well as being 100% ambidextrous. When I was in training for the tutor program they had fun with me 🤭🥰I’m very dyslexic due to being ambidextrous 😊 For scientific purposes they actually had me stay a few days longer. 😂😂😂 No joke they really did! I was trained at LindaMood-Bell in San Louis Obispo CA. They touched on color blindness and some can be reversed by retraining the brain. But I’m NOT saying Jack is in any way in that situation and again I know it’s hard to show fluctuation of voice tone so please understand I am just curious if he’s willing to talk about it. My kids say I’m color blind and it could be 😊 I also got brain damage when I broke my neck but I’ve never been diagnosed about it. They were more worried about the neck and not paralyzing me during surgery! The roof of the vehicle came starting down into my head and the bones shot to the right. If it would’ve hit a smidge any other way the bones would’ve went straight into the spinal cord and I would’ve been a paraplegic from the neck down. But thank God I walk, talk and still substitute teach K-3rd graders & create content❤😊
Hi, I love your vlogs. I don't really comment but I just have to say that since you've been with Jack, who is gorgeous by the way, you are starting to pick up a little of a London accent, which sounds cute 😊. You both make a beautiful couple and I wish you both many years of blessing and love ❤. Take care

A great way to thicken your soup is to take a scoop or more of the soup and blend it in a blender and add it back in ❤️ corn starch works well too!

To thicken up stew, put 1-2 tbsp of cornstarch in a small bowl with some water and whisk it up. Then pour in the stew
Thank you!

Technically, heating season is from 10/1 until 5/31. I hate systems like yours because they don’t exactly adhere to what’s right.

Can't imagine living in America paying so much for rent and they control your air and your heat
