Imou Marshland is a marshland located in Iwasaki-cho, Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture. It is a natural monument designated by Aichi Prefecture. (It is also known as the "Mini Oze of the Tokai Region" and has been selected as one of the 100 famous mountains for flowers and the new 100 famous mountains for flowers. The entrance to the marshland is part of the Toyohashi Nature Trail that leads directly to Akaiwa Mountain.
Together with the surrounding mountains, the area is designated as the Ishimakizan Tame Prefectural Natural Park by Aichi Prefecture.
The area is located on the gentle slope of a small mountain, about 75 to 60 meters above sea level, and is about 5 hectares in size. There is a wooden boardwalk that takes you around the marshland. In addition to about 250 species of wet plants, dragonflies, frogs, other insects, and animals can be seen. Unlike other wetlands such as Oze where plants have been deposited over many years to store a large amount of water, this wetland is located on a chert bedrock and the water that seems to come from the bedrock flows over it.
葦毛湿原(いもう しつげん)は、愛知県豊橋市岩崎町にある湿原。愛知県指定の天然記念物。(1992年2月28日指定) 別名「東海のミニ尾瀬」とも言われ、花の百名山及び新・花の百名山に選定されている。湿原の入り口は、そのまま赤岩山へつながる豊橋自然歩道の一部になっている。
また石巻山周辺の山域とともに、愛知県の石巻山多米県立自然公園に指定されている。
一帯は、標高75mから60mくらいの小高い山の緩やかな斜面にあり、広さは約5haである。木の遊歩道が作られており、湿原を1周することができる。湿性の植物が250種類ほど、その他にトンボやカエルその他の昆虫、動物などが見られる。尾瀬などの、植物が長年にわたり堆積してしっかりとした水量を蓄えた湿原とは異なり、チャートの基盤岩の上にあり、岩盤から湧き出してくると思われる水がその上を流れていくような湿原で、渇水の季節には水枯れのようになることもある。
