I've watched numerous videos on splicing amsteel and this is hands down the best one I've seen. The tips you give for manipulating the rope are going to make life much easier!
Makin' it look easy. Awesome. I wish I had found Dutchware Gear before purchasing my first hammock setup. But, I guess I'll make up for it by swapping to your hardware in the near future as it's vastly superior to any other I've found. Thanks again for the tutorial.
After watching several splicing tutorials, I must admit, it wasn't as easy as they make it look. Then I discovered your video, and not only did it all FINALLY make sense, I appreciated the small details, and your reasoning behind why it is done that way. You really have a way of making it all make sense. My first splicing was accomplished with using zing it. Probably not the best rope for a beginner, but once I remembered everything you said to do, it was quite simple. Thank you Dutch. So, just out of curiosity.... when is your tutorial on how to make your own hammock coming out? 😁
Now that’s a tutorial. I really wanted to try this splicing mullarkey, now I really must try it. Ha ha! Firstly of course, buy me some Amsteeel and splicing tools. I will enjoy this. Thank you Dutch.

I agree the best articulated continuous loop demonstration.
A first-hand look at basic hammock sorcery by one of the masters. Thanks, Dutch.
As said by others, I have watched dozens of videos on how to do this and yours is hands down the best. Very easy to follow and covers every aspect.
😅
Absolute freaking magic. What a fantastic tutorial dutch!
Glad you liked it!
Lots of fine point mentioned in your video! I am a professional Stunt rigger that uses Dyneema daily. I appreciate your attention to detail.
Thanks, Dutch. Sometimes a refresher on the basics is the best advice one can get.
Excellent vid Dutch! Thank You!

Dutch, You're and EXCELLENT teacher. Thanks for the video and helpful tips.
My pleasure!
Now we need one for lash-it . I'd love to see the tools you use with the small stuff
This.
I have been working with various diameters of cord for years and didn't think I had much to learn. I was wrong. Thanks Dutch.
AWSOME, thanks Dutch. Love the tow rope. That is game changing. And just proves Whoopy slings are the Bomb.

Nice. I can't believe that you have only just released this; you're very late to the party, but you do, as always, explain everything well.
Thank you. Very well done tutorial.
Nicely done, Dutch. Is this your first full length feature film? Hope there will be more.
Is this considered a 7-inch bury or two 3.5-inch buries?
