The Alberto literally chases Scar until it dies.
That's what I was also wondering, But I don't mind it too much. I just love how they turned him into vengeful beast, instead of leting him be just a simple hungry predator. They gave him a personality. It made the story more interesting. At least for me.

Can we appreciate how durable that Albertosaurus is ? He was running for a long distance then got a branch on fire dropped on his neck and he still kept running like nothing happen. Afterward, he got carried away by the flood and still doesn’t die. If that was a T-rex then it should’ve been game over branch of fire drop on it him. The t-rex would be like “ I don’t wanna die, fine I am out “

I always love the over dramatic nature that narrators give these. Like seriously the way they frame this you'd think that albertosaurus was a sith Lord.
The fact that after that burning branch fell on him the albertosaurus seemed to run even faster than before, along with the fact that he doesn't give up on hunting Scar even after he was long gone, does give vibes of a sith lord looking for revenge.

Perhaps it’s possible they could go into some form of dormant state/hibernation (especially for polar dinosaurs) to conserve energy, on the one hand they are Archosaurus so they don’t have to worry about starving as fast as mammals, but then again Dinosaurs tended to have higher metabolisms than say, turtles and Crocodilians; especially Theropods.
I remember my classmates saying “do something!” to the baby edmon and I sat there going “this isn’t a Disney movie” and what’s worse is everyone in my class was not too smart when it came to us watching the documentary they kept saying T-Rex, Triceratops, velociraptor, ankylosaurus, etc while I wanted so bad to correct them
In all honesty, how come the Predatory theropod always has to die in these types of films? It’d be refreshing to see this guy actually succeed in getting a meal and have the main character survive as these are just predators trying to survive. They’re not evil after all. They’re just animals.

We have evidence of Tyrannosaurs biting other animals, especially hadrosaurs, but none of them show evidence of breakage. So it's unlikely that its vertebrae would be crushed.

Same, the story and unique characters and payoffs really make this one of the best documentaries out there, but it doesn’t really provide any scientific facts and the cgi in some scenes aren’t very good. It’s a very heartfelt and emotional story.
There really isn't much of one. Somehow they are split into different genus' because of tooth and skull differences. I've also heard Gorgo has longer legs and is slightly thinner, while Alberto was a bit more robust. Other than that they are built nearly the same.
I LOVE this narrator, Steven Fry. He voiced the Harry Potter audiobooks (as for America, the books were read by Jim Dale in an American accent, not British- I always preferred Fry’s narration). Anyway it was only now that I realized how similar Fry sounds to David Attenborough. The depth of Fry’s tone is different, but many of the idiosyncrasies in his speech are very similar to some of those in Attenborough’s speech. It’s as if they attended university together where they took the same classes on how to learn how to properly narrate audiobooks. Either this is how older British men are supposed to sound for audiobooks or one has been inspired by the other to talk in such a manner. Or neither could be true & it might just be complete a coincidence. Maybe it’s an upper class British accent.

It makes sense for albertosaurus, they lived more further north at a cooler time period that t-rex. T-rex should never be depicted as fully feathered, maybe display feathers on the arms or tail.
