Ross: "The pages are stuck together"
Joy: "Chandler!"
Nick: "What is Chandler gonna do?!"
Oh, you sweet innocent child!
😂😂😂 I had the same thought
What's really funny is that it wasn't in the script
I immediately caught that too. It's how you can tell he grew up in the internet age.
Damn, I really wished he get it, it was such a good joke lol
Was gonna say the same thing haha
Yes, Monica has definitely become more quick witted since dating Chandler and Chandler has also become noticeably more mature and adult.
The scene where they all reveal things in a roll and ends with monicas mom speech is probably my favourite scene on this whole show
Yeeeees! That's the episode. Omg, I love the monologue by Judy!
Mine too 😂.
I LOVE JAQUE COSTEAU
Mine too!
Mine too!!!
"I love Jacques Cousteau!"
"I wasn't supposed to put beef in the trifle!"
"I WANNA GOOOOOOOO!"
🤣🤣🤣 The way Phoebe, Rachel and Joey just add themselves to the argument is hilarious....
6:26 "The pages are stuck together" Joey's line "Chandler!" is improvised, and he's implying it's Chandler's fault like a teenager's playboy magazine or something :D
One of the best improv of the show lol
Christina Pickles (who played Judy Geller) doesn’t enough credit for making this one of the best Thanksgiving episodes. Her monologue is perfection!
"The Never-Ending Misfortunes of Dr Ross Gellar, Phd."
Yes!
According to the producer, the beef in the trifle was actually a cookie crumble with some green candy pieces mixed in.
Also, in one of the bloopers for this episode, David Schwimmer (Ross) laughs at Matt Leblanc (Joey) along with everyone else, as he realizes Matt is eating the whipped cream David had previously spat out during another take, and Matt has no idea. He finds out much later, in an interview I think lol
Your reaction to Rachel explaining the layers of her trifle when she got to the beef, onions and peas = perfection. You looked so alarmed, it was hilarious.
The Ross and Monica duo really got to shine in these two episodes, and it's brilliant to see!
“the pages are stuck together”
“CHANDLER!”
😂😂😂😂😂😂
current generation doesn't understand that joke
@@fesparcosThe joke doesn't really work since it's not a nudie magazine.
Between you and Cocoa Couch's Friends reactions, yall 2 are so important to my self care routine. Like: sleep, water, exercise, Friday friends reactions, Monday Friends reactions, painting, etc. 😂
I watch The Cocoa Couch too! He's absolutely adorable ❤
Yeees! Love both their reactions! My week starts with Oscar’s reaction and then I can’t wait for Friday not because of the weekend but because of Nicks reaction. Amazing!
@SC-gp7kt I knowww! ❤️
@@ДмитроЛуцький-ф1ф exactly, and it makes having to wait a week for each reaction from the individual channel easier☺️
The best brother sister chemistry between Monica and Ross especially that dance choreography! Could they be any more cuter lol
Could they BE any more cuter? 😂
I absolutely love "The Routine", it never fails to crack me up!
Ross saying "It tastes feet" cracks me up every time. I was crying laughing the first time I saw this episode. (He says it even funnier in the bloopers - can't wait to see you watch those!)
And every once in a while, I still like to say, "Custard good. Jam good. Meat? Gooooood!" Joey kills me.
Jack and Julie became the parents of everyone in the Thanksgiving episode. In the reunion special, they said there really wasn’t no beef. There’s a blooper with Ross’s plate.
since you've started watching friends, there are specific episodes that i really look forward to, this is one of them. yes, it's the best thanksgiving!!!
and what about monica and ross telling their parents their secrets? 100/10 comedy level!
"it's a lot of information to get in 30 seconds..."
Oh man, when they start giving the one-liners outing each other is the best 😂😂😂😂😂
we haven’t seen ross high, but you’ll definitely see another funny drunk ross scene for sure 😂
Shh, no teases.
@@ojwh1933 ik 😭 i’m not one to spoil at allll, i figure this is subtle enough tho
"LOVE, love"😂😂@@jessica-uj4bw
"VeeE" 📈
Oh,the routine. One of the best scenes in the intire show!
im finally caught up with the playlist, cant believe i watched 56 videos in 4 days LOL. Just couldnt stop
Wow 😂
Why would you want to catch up? Now you have to wait for him to drop instead of being able to binge whenever you want to.
I just watched this a week ago: there's an interview with Matt Leblanc who reveals not only what the trifle really was but a funny error. When David Schwimmer spat it out and Matt scooped it and ate it he didn't see it was his backwash and during the post episode review said ":) oh hey, here's our scene (one awkward silence later) :( AWW AND YOU LET ME EAT THAT"
This is my absolute FAVORITE Thanksgiving episode!!! ❤ You absolutely MUST watch the blooper video for this!! "It tastes like feet!" 😂😂😂
Behind the scenes knowledge makes thanksgiving episode even more funny. Between takes Ross dropped food from his mouth back to the plate. Joey didn't saw that and nobody told him and took Ross's food to his plate and ate it. He only saw what had happened from dailies later. Joey (Matt Leblanc) told this in Graham Norton talk show.
There really is so much growth with Monica and Chandler since they got together. Chandler has become more mature, less afraid of commitment & the future. He wasn't panicking that their relationship has advanced to the point of meeting parents. He was more worried that Monica's parents won't like him. I remember when he freaked out because Janice ate chicken off his plate.
Monica (while still being uptight about cleanliness & perfection) has been funnier and she allowed others more leeway. In a past episode, instead of getting mad at Chandler for being unable to restore the apartment after cleaning, she was appreciative instead. Then she let Rachel be in charge of dessert without preparing a backup. And even though Rachel messed up the trifle, Monica still let the Friends decorate the Christmas tree with her.
Yes!
I think the best part of this episode is all the truths that come out lmao
This is the best Thanksgiving🤣 And this is Chandler's best Thanksgiving. Chandler is happy🤣❤
Yep, THE Best Thanksgiving episode by miles, so many great moments throughout! Very quotable, "It Tastes like Feet!!" "It's Thanksgiving not..Truth day!"
Idk I like the one with a special guest from their high school days😂
@@johnglue1744 that one's overrated for me, plus the 'acting' from the special guest star just doesn't stand out to me and they break the fourth wall too much
@@phantomsidious2934 Fair enough.
A close second is the one where they all show up late.
Yeah that's a good one, second best for me might be when Rachael's sister Amy shows up@@alyssaratzel3638
Ross Geller: A Series of Unfortunate Events
That thing that Chandler did in this episode - the waving of the arms and the snaps to "make something never happen" ... LOL ... I still do that occasionally to this day!
This episode has one of the best "bloopers" revealed by Matt LeBlanc after the show ended. David Schwimmer during a take laughed and spit out the trefoil unbeknownst to ML. He grabbed the plate and put some of iton his plate. Next take he ate it😅😮. He watched the out take in a wrap party and saw that DS had spit it out and he put it on his plate and ate it. ML tells the story so awesomely 😂
There is a funny interview with Matt Leblanc about this Thanksgiving episode. Apparently he didn't realize David spit out his food when he scooped David's on to his plate. He found out during the blooper relay the wrap party for the season.
Me and my sister learnt the "routine" and performed it at school at our disco. Needless to say, the crowd was stunned
The thanks giving episode is one of THE best.
SO many quotable moments. We still use “it tastes like feet!” and “no Rachel, you were not supposed to put beef in the trifle. It did NOT taste good!” and “that’s a lot of information to get in 60 seconds” 😂😊
We also still do the finger wave and click when things get too awkward 😂😂😂
I actually like that monica lets them decorate half of the tree. That way they feel included cause theyre usually there for the holidays anyways, shes the mom of the group and her friends are like her kids, she takes care of them. Of course shes gonna let them help decorate the tree, she just turns it around so the outside sees the mess but its out of sight, out of mind for her. Or at least thats how i view it.
I was 16 years old when this episode aired and I understood the joke when Joey scream Chandler! 🤣🤣🤣 plus it is funny how the majority of people understand this reference of a joke.
What joey mean about that could you explain? if so thank you. I'm English learner I don't understand same jokes
@@Pedro94-dp I think Chandler was touching herself in his private parts and I guess did not have the time to wash his hands. So he put it on a page of a cook book. That is the best explanation I can come up with.
@@Pedro94-dp Chandler used to pleasure himself while reading porn magazines and releasing 'something' causing pages to stick together.
Joey saying “Chandler 😡” about the pages stuck together is a joke about Chandler always beating his meat. Just fyi haha😂
New generation uses a screen for that as a granted so that is why he didn't get it xD
The best episodes are the episodes that focus on (mostly) the 6 core characters and their interactions with each other (No One's Ready, All the Football, The Lottery, the Thanksgiving episodes).
Bloopers from this episode are amazing.
Yes, the Aegyptian's did bring palms into the temples. The Greeks actually used Holly and Ivy and that's where the song historically comes from. And yes, I am the Ross Gellar of my group of friends.
The video game they are playing is Twisted Metal. It's awesome!
The trick to wrapping presents is to use less paper. The more paper, the harder it is to fold nice.
"The Routine" will forever be iconic. 🤩
"They're speculating, what do you want them to do" The thing is with them listing possible reasons, was that it was basically listing off all of Chandlers faults or as Chandler said earlier "Or are these reasons you don't like me?".
My little brother and his best man did The Routine at his wedding. I raised him on Friends, never been so proud!
The thanksgiving eposide is possibly one of the greatest friends episodes of all time
"it taste like feet" and "the routine" in the same upload?!? I live for that! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
i literally like your Friends reactions before even watching it
Much appreciated!
the whole show is cozy but these episodes especially are comforting. cheered me up and monica and ross dance will forever be iconic
Unfortunately, when I wrap presents, it looks like they were wrapped by a blind T-rex. LOL
The Friends Thanksgiving episodes are iconic. This one ranks as my #1 too. Annual tradition to watch these each thanksgiving.
I'm the designated gift wrapper in my family, I'm insanely perfectionistic about present wrapping. For years I was also the only one decorating the Christmas tree. When others did it, I'd re-do it so people stopped helping. I may be Monica...
I love Monica's parents 😂
The thanksgiving one is one of my favorite episodes
THE ROUTINE!!!
It's so funny that you're on these episodes. I just saw a video of Courteney Cox doing the routine with Ed Sheeran yesterday lol
Watching Friends in my teens, Matthew Perry was always my favourite but the older i get the more i realise that David Schwimmer is the MVP of the show. He is amazingly funny.
These two episodes are friggin hilarious xD can’t wait to see the reaction
6:26 erm that's an ejaculation joke.
The idea to do the routine for a weeding is gold, Nick. If it will ever come to me having a weeding I will so do that! And I swear you will get a clip of that, Nick 😀. And yes, nothing but pure respect to Christina Pickles, the actress is amazing.
6:34 Shepherd’s Pie would be lamb. Cottage pie is beef. Rachel couldn’t even get the meat right 😂
Maybe it depends on where you live? Growing up, I'd only ever had shepherd's pie with beef in it. I didn't even know it could have other meats until I had one in a restaurant recently that was made with chicken.
In most American cookbooks it’s with beef. I think it’s because many people don’t eat lamb.
@@mastersnet18 that’s interesting. Why don’t Americans eat lamb? So… it’s not Rachel, it’s the books. Shepherds Pie is absolutely supposed to be lamb because that’s what they would have available. All the books need to be changed to say “Cottage Pie” 😂😂😂
@@Punslinger1005I think for the same reason many won’t eat veal, they’re squeamish at the thought of eating a baby animal. Although they have no problem eating adult cows, pigs and unknowingly eating baby chickens 😅. I’ve had Americans tell me I’m weird for eating lamb, duck and rabbit. Plus in the 90s Americans weren’t nearly as concerned with cultural accuracy.
@@CaseyTyler357well what you had would be cottage pie. lamb for shepard’s beef for cottage
The "Boys, the trouble with boys" dance has stayed with me since this originally aired.
This season is definitely not Ross’s best season but I still love him so much! He is so funny and I think he’s underrated. I love this Thanksgiving episode so much!
Fun fact: During one take for the part in the trifle scene where Ross suddenly had to shovel a bunch in his mouth, David broke out laughing so they had to go again. He spat some of it back out onto his plate, while Matt LeBlanc wasn't paying attention. To help with the scene resetting, Matt casually picked up David's plate and put some of it on his plate so they had about the same amount for the next take. So, Matt LeBlanc accidentally ate trifle that was that was in David Schwimmer's mouth. And the best part is, Matt LeBlanc never found out about it until watching a gag reel at the series wrap party.
You are too old to be this naive and wholesome when it comes to that joke about the pages stuck together. 😂 I won’t have it!
They didn’t grow up w mags. It’s all in the internet now
Judy has the best line when she responds to everyone.
The outtakes from this episode are GOLD
22:29 I've seen several videos of the Routine being done at a wedding.
You know, your reactions to *Friends* are the highlight of my Fridays. ❤
Super fun reaction thanks!
This Thanksgiving episode is one of my favorite episodes of the show 🤣🤣🤣
I love wrapping presents!
The Rutine os a great episode 😅😍♥️👏👏 Great reaction too bro.
Yes this Thanksgiving episode is so hilarious!! It's my favorite.😂
Fun fact Ancient Egyptians invented Beer 🍺 as well y’all are very welcome lol
The trifle is iconic!! Hahaha these are 2 of my favorite episodes of all time, it’s so fun watching you react to these
The way I LOVE these 2 episodes 🙌🙌
Iconic pairing of episodes, especially "The One Where Ross Got High," which is considered one of the top funniest episodes of Friends.
"WELL HURRICANE GLORIA DIDN'T BREAK THE PORCH SWING, *MONICA* DID!!!" has been playing on a loop in my head all day in anticipation for this reaction tonight. lol
And the number of brother / sister duo fans who have reenacted "The Routine" - AND the number of folks who have purposely baked Rachel's gross trifle for Thanksgiving - is something that makes me very happy.
This is definitely my favorite Thanksgiving episode. The part where they all start yelling their truths kills me every time 😂
My grandma was the exact same way as Mrs. Gellar when it came to one of my dad's friends. I don't remember the full story, but somehow my dad was caught smoking weed with his friend and up to the day she passed, if you mentioned his friend James in front of my Grandma, she'd whisper "pothead" under her breath.
The exposition dump on Monica and Ross' parents, priceless. 🤣
It's hard to title seasons. I guess,
*Season 1: The One With The Rich Bride*
(because it was largely about Rachel learning to not be spoiled, and Ross' attraction to Rachel; in fact, both of them try to make it on their own in a sense, so you could go with something along those lines, but then the whole show is about young people trying to make it in the world)
*Season 2: The One With The Sexy Doctors*
(the first half is about Julie and the culmination of Ross and Rachel's will they/won't they, and the second half is about Monica and Richard; they dont technically clarify that Julie is a doctor, but Ross knew Julie from grad school which could refer to the PhD)
*Season 3: The One With The Break*
(self-explanatory)
*Season 4: The One That Tests Joey And Chandler's Friendship*
(because I tend to think of it as the Chandler and Kathy season, but also Joey ended up inadvertently helping someone steal their stuff, then built an oversized cabinet to replace it, and almost killed Chandler in the process)
*Season 5: The One With The Big Secret*
(obviously Chandler and Monica's secret relationship)
*Season 6: The Third One With A Divorce*
(just watching this season back with you, this is the arc that most stands out so far. Ross started out as the straight man, and the guy fumbling to be the best they can for the sake of a relationship (whether it be with Carol, Julie, Rachel, or Emily). But I feel like post-Emily, Ross is less nervous and more frantic in their awkwardness. Partly through maturing, I'm sure, but also probably because they were in a very sad and suddenly-lonely place when their relationship with Carol ended, whereas now they've been around the block a few times, and they have enough self-assurance to be a little impulsive (even if the impulses do get them in trouble))
Two of the most iconic episodes of the series so far, one after another.
Ross: It tastes like feet!
Joey: I like it!
Ross: Are you kidding me?
Joey: What’s not to like?! Custard good! Jam good! Beef goood! 😂
My favorite line of this episode!
They are playing a video game called Twisted Metal 2 on the PS1. Absolute banger of a classic.
It is the best thanksgiving episode and this routine dance is very famous
My brother and I actually did the routine on one of my birthdays, it was a very fun experience.
These are two of my favourite episodes of the entire series! One line after another in the Thanksgiving episode, Rachel's trifle and the routine in 6x10! So good.
You may have missed it but in the beginning of 6x09 Monica asks Chandler "guess who's coming to Thanksgiving dinner?" and Chandler replies "Sidney Poitier?", a reference to the movie Guess Who's Coming To Dinner? starring Poitier and Katharine Hepburn (fitting since it's also about a couple struggling to accept the man who is dating their daughter, though for very different reasons). Such a good movie, I highly recommend it.
The trifle was in reality just whipped cream and bananas. There's a blooper of David not being able to eat it because it was so much and Jennifer laughing when Matt puts some of David's trifle on to his plate. In the same one Matt is also laughing because of the way David says "It tastes like FEET!" - ruclips.net/video/M013Umbv3Qo/видео.htmlsi=K9COm0Jr-vgnrz8q
Matt also said that after they yelled cut David spat out some of it back on his plate and Matt ate it, not knowing David had spit it out. Despite what the video title says, it can't be that because Matt is clearly watching David plus he doesn't spit much out and most of it is barely in his mouth. Matt also said it was after they yelled cut so it wouldn't have been filmed.
Joey yelling "Chandler!" after learning that the pages were stuck together was improvised by Matt LeBlanc. It is considered by the creators to be among one of the dirtiest jokes on the show (since it's hinting at Chandler pleasuring himself and releasing 'something' causing pages of 'something' he was "reading" to stick together).
Also, shepherd's pie doesn't have beef but lamb; Cottage pie has beef. Furthermore, modern recipes of mincemeat pie do not contain meat. And another thing that never made sense is if the pages really were stuck together Rachel would have finished the trifle with the beef. Why was there a recipe for Shepherd's (Cottage) pie just randomly shoved in the middle? It's a TV show, I get it. Just funny that's all.
Courteney Cox actually re-created the routine with Ed Sheeran a few years ago: ruclips.net/video/4MuIN-82Plo/видео.htmlsi=NWNZIWTyWosHCwqt and for comparsion:
ruclips.net/video/rYRjejL225Q/видео.htmlsi=TZy6xJ6GmJYkm753 (they are good friends irl).
This is one of the best wedding videos I've seen: ruclips.net/video/9_2x8B-2DEU/видео.htmlsi=cJl9-QdxKD9z7s0V
And this is awesome too: ruclips.net/video/9_2x8B-2DEU/видео.htmlsi=LfE9rnONKTVzXYIA
In the uncut DVD version of the 6x02, Rachel, Phoebe and Chandler go to Central Perk to look for the presents Monica had hidden from them. Rachel flirts with Gunther to try and find out where they are and he faints: ruclips.net/video/XEYmSr9QdC8/видео.htmlsi=Af20qbBiLpOHmxdB
Lastly, a dreidel is a four-sided spinning top played during the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. The first version of Phoebe's Christmas song in 4x10 "TOW the girl from Poughkeepsie" ended with "Spin the dreidel Rachel!"
Example of why this show is just soo good! That Thanksgiving ep is 💯
Ross was never going to tell her about the dessert he was just meant to distract her while Joey teaches the rest of them how do enjoy it. That’s why he was being so awkward he didn’t know what to say
I loved this episode with Monica's parents. It was hilarious about Ross knowing women!!
Awesome reaction of my favorite episode of Friends!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you!
I am one of those present wrapping people...if that was a job I could have I would do that forever 😀
These two episodes definitely stood out to me when it first aired and it was two of the episodes I was most looking forward for you to see.
2:07 YES, SHE DID! I agree and she's doing amazing
They were eating a whipped cream concoction. Matt Leblanc actually ate a plate that David Schwimmer had spit some back on, but nobody told Matt before he ate it.
I knew you'd love "The Routine" !!
You HAVE to see the bloopers for the Thanksgiving one 😂😂
Because I have absolutely loved watching someone else watch these episodes for the first time with me already knowing what the episodes were about, I had this Friday circle because I was waiting for you to see the Thanksgiving episode. Those 30 seconds of confessions was the best and Christine Pickle's reaction was priceless.
Season 6 right now should be "The Friend's Best Couple Ever" ... Until Season 5, I was a pure "Ross/Rachel" fan but seeing the relationship brewing between Chandler/Monica (with the sad death of Matthew Perry) is now making me really loving his character, because Courtney Cox and Matthew Perry had the best chemistry in how they played their characters. They were such great actors that they bring out their quirks in each other.
6:27 HOW did u not get the joke 😂
I cant wait for you to see the bloopers of these episodes. 😂
22:31 I actually saw a video on tiktok of a bride and his brother, I think, who did The Routine on her wedding day
