Samsung Galaxy A12 Repairs, in this video I showed you how to repair Samsung Galaxy A12 on replacing new LCD or screen.
Samsung Galaxy A12 smartphone was launched on 24th November 2020. The phone comes with a 6.50-inch touchscreen display. Samsung Galaxy A12 is powered by an octa-core processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy A12 measures 164.00 x 75.80 x 8.90mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 205.00 grams.

Brilliant. Saved me £70 over getting it done at the phone shop, no problems with the new screen either. Was hard to get the screen off because I stupidly tried to pry the bottom open first! If anyone sees this comment, try one of the longer sides first, they're easier to get off.

Screens are on eBay for as little as 25 notes including tools. I fixed mine for just over that. Definitely get the screen (digitizer) with frame though. Isopropyl alcohol was sprayed onto battery to help soften adhesive holding it down. I didn't have that so had to flatten battery afterwards. It works just fine though. Only thing is that the screen (like the factory one), isn't as bright as other phones (even after reviewing settings). It must be how they are.
What kind of equipment did you use other than the screwdriver 😅
Loved this video, I have the Galaxy A12 and I had already ordered A screen but did not know who was gonna put it on for me and luckily I came across this video and needless to say I put the screen on myself with zero problems. @@rocknral meh, if you have experience you don't need closeups. You just need to know where the clips, screw, trap screws are.
The camerawork is so shaky, focus on back of hand blocking the view of detail of work, then the increased speed while activities taking place kinda spoils this! With those connectors, some are real delicate and extreme care not to force when re-inserting the ribbon or film insert. Gets it done, thoughtoo jerky and being flash.
@@alexturbine6424 I've changed hundreds of screens, I know how delicate those are.
The key points you need for a video like that are, where are the screws, and where are the cables, so you don't cut them by accident. Everything else you can judge for yourself.
But if it's your phone, and you have no prior experience I kinda get it.

Why would a new screen be unresponsive after installation? It charges and turns on but the screen is unresponsive. Thanks for the feedback.

do i Need an glue at the an like the b- 7000 Display Glue ?
The battery got slightly bent around the edges when slowly wedging it out with only a small around of force. This suprised me. I carefully bent it back in these spots. Do you think this could have ruined the battery?
I’m not an expert but I think that’s just extra foil that folded it’s probably not gonna damage the battery and since this is a 3w old comment I’m sure by now it’s been fine
@@rubielcadena4912 it was fine..i tested it via accubattery 👍..i was initially afraid it could rupture a cell.. there us a ton of literature online about these new flex batteries.
@@jaylev85 if its lithium polimer battery that's in these foned, as soon u rupture a cell and cell is oxposed to oxygen, it will emit a great amount of heat, smoke and sometimes flames. Happen to us with one of our RC cars and half the rc car melted b4 gettin battery out lol

I replaced my friend’s screen and lost their speaker audio, but headphone audio works. Everything else is fine. Did I not plug something in right?

i think ur less than average cause this isnt hard to figure out.
Replacing the LCD affects memory? Is the memory on the display or on the small board with the camera? (contacts, photos etc.)
No replacing the lcd will not affect memory, the memory of the phone is on the motherboard
Once new screen is fitted phone will be In working order and without any data loss. This would signafy something else is wrong with the phone if this happen to you at any point.

Does anyone have any recommendations/suggestions on how to properly seal the phone back up with the adhesive seal that was broken through with the card pry tool/picker and where the proper adhesive seal can be purchased? (After successfully replacing the screen on my Galaxy A12 months ago, water has been easily able to get into the phone slowly causing my screen to slowly go out until it finally went out completely; I think the phone might even be dead ). On eBay there is with frame and without frame but better buy with frame nice and easy to replace 👍

I’m out , Samsun can do one everyone breaks a screen and that’s too much work to change at 2 mins in.
I repair phones for a living. This is one of the easiest phones to repair, especially considering the lack of adhesive and lack of different screw types
Life can be tricky. best to give up immediately.

The screen alone costs $30+ so in most places you will likely be paying $100+ for screen replacement...
Which is half the price of the phone unfortunately..
its going to be far cheaper if you do it yourself, if you pay someone to replace it your better off buying a new phone

Probably IPA or an electrical contact cleaner - Just loosens up the glue.

They are completely crazy to put the whole motherboard battery etc bounded with the screen on a plastic phone.
Samsung don't want you to repair their phone.
i can tell you never did that on an iPhone. glue, solder, at least 5 different screw sizes and even different screw heads. Samsung is super easy to repair
@@stephanebrouard3041 iPhone since the iPhone 5 have everything bounded with the back (metal or glass), the screen come out easily but the back is hard.
Here is the opposite but it doesn't make sense, if the back was made of glass I could understand that at least you could fix the back easily but since it is plastic it can't break so no sense at all.
