so true we belong to the earth and our souls cry out to be with nature , that is why we love going out and sticking our feet in the grass , or waking in the rain ,walking along the beach in the sun or just hanging out by the pool. We truely are relaxing when we are out side with nature. I so love your videos
That smile on your face when you left the camp at Denali said it all thank you for bringing us along on your trip these videos are so awesome stay safe
I continuously love noticing that look you have when you are content and happy. We've seen alot of that on your Alaska adventure. "Alaska becomes you, Ms Rose". Thank you again for sharing this amazing time in your life
PS... My girls and I are buying our bus TOMORROW!!! ❤️ Converting it over the next several months and then FREEDOM! Thanks for taking us with you everywhere. You're helping to keep us afloat and full of knowledge until we can get out there ourselves. Maybe we'll bump into you one of these years. 🌸

I totally agree about traveling without a plan. I just returned from a 3200+ mile trip to South Dakota for which I had a few goals but no hard plans. It was the most relaxing trip I’ve taken in years. Cheers!
I was so fortunate to see Susan Butcher training her sled dogs during my visit to Alaska… what an experience! Incredible animals... Camped on the Susitna banks on July 4... talk about noise! Gun shooting, 4 wheeling, drunk Alaskans celebrating all night long! Enjoying your adventures!
I don't think two RV's could make it on that road if one was going & one was leaving, looks awful narrow! Thank you so much for taking me along, it is very much appreciated seeing all the sights & breath taking snow capped Mountains! Safe travels for you & Capone, yes he is the best traveling companion!
Thank-you Carolyn, it has been , a few Years ,since I traveled that road with my Alaskan Friend, who was with National Geographic, We had done Kluane Sheep Mountain.. There never was any Difference between Yukoners & Alaskans, when we were young,, growing up in the North, Nor Us As Canadians & Americans ..We never knew the difference , we were always just the same !! I still feel the same way after all these years Serving with N.A.T.O. Take Care Dear Carolyn!! Travel Safe !!KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO !! ENJOY THE ROAD FOR ALL OF US !!
You got me so excited and everything was so beautiful and you could feel the love of life and the strength emanating from you! I am part native and it made my heart soar! The dogs were awesome and then there was Capone! Super RV Dog!!!! Going back in time and just seeing through fresh eyes! I am so happy that you are sharing your journey with us! Love and Peace
Yah, through your video rain has sparkled on RV window shield and it is kinda cloudy dark and you are driving on endless unforeseeable road, yes I already feel like be freed~~ good video lady~ thanks. thumbs up
Thanks so much for sharing your adventure with all of us. Such beauty! It makes me realize how much we have to loose if we allow our National Parks to be destroyed. Your videos also made me realize the real life limitations of wanting to do the whole park but having limited time. I can't believe how vast it is. It was gorgeous!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope you will be able to ignore the negative comments about leaving Capone. He is loved, healthy and doing great and so are you.
Awesome seeing all the pups 👍Thank you for capturing the history info in the video :) Your videos are so educational and yet so enjoyable to watch. Loving your unplanned journey that you are sharing with us. Part of what makes your videos so enjoyable for me is that as a viewer I never know what you will be sharing with us all next. Safe and happy travels to you and Capone
The sled dogs were awesome. The snow capped mountains spectacular! Make it 1001 because I would love to camp with you too! The recap video footage of Denali was fun. I enjoyed your adventures so much. I can’t wait to see more. Have fun being you, happy, free, and kind in Alaska. And Canada. Capone is such a trooper and so sweet. Take care.
Loving the whole Alaska trip so far. I would be like you don’t want to stay too close to other people for just that reason. The wild Capone in his natural habitat! Hehe❤️🐾❤️ looking forward to more adventure. Stay safe and smooch the puppy for me
Hi Carolyn Your Enthusiasm is so infectious you can feel it right through the video of it's like being right there with you the site and sounds is absolutely fantastic one of the last wonderful places I guess on the face of the Earth that man has not totally messed up I like that look Capone gave you as you ask him what he was doing he was like no Mom I'm making poopy and pee pee don't videotape me doing that LOL what a sweet boy he sure a wonderful baby my stormy says hello to Capone can't wait to see more you put in so so much effort into these videos they are appreciated very much be safe be happy be aware happy trails to you and Capone thanks again
I just so love puppy. He's so darn cute! I get such a kick out of him. I just lost my precious dog the first of this year. So I feel better getting to see him. People are so inconsiderate. I don't like loud noise myself. Be safe out there.
My husband is such a planner! LOL It's not really his fault, he's a Type 1 diabetic, lost pancreas function at 2 years so you can imagine how structured his life has been. When we were married I plan my vacations by just leaving. First time in his 45 years he ever went somewhere without a reservation. Spent 3 weeks out "west" just finding a place around 3 or 4 in the evening. He was scared and loved it at the same time.
I look so forward to the next video. I check all the time and watch some of the old ones. I just keep collecting ideas, write things down. And decided when I get my RV that I will have a personalized license plate. I have my name all picked out. Thanks for all your videos and sharing Capone with us.
I'm glad to see you so happy and I felt sad when pulling out of your campsite, just as if I were along with you ... crazy, huh? You enjoyed Denali sooo much and thank you for sharing the experience with us all. Going to try your muffins but not real good at wingin' it when baking, we'll see! Happy and safe trails until next time. Hi Capone! ♥
The last few days I have been hiking and camping in Kings Canyon national park and felt as though I was channelling you. The grins dang near split my face. Averaging 25k steps a day up & down trails (not the John Muir unfortunately) seeing a bear, deer, other wildlife, waterfalls, stunning views - made me think of you and the pure joy that you radiate sometimes. I thought of your videos many times over my visit and added a layer of enjoyment for me. This trip to Alaska is pretty magical and your happiness is obvious & beautiful.
Thanks for the tip Carolyn. The one about rating breakfast within a half hour of getting up Same like you, i always wait an hour or more. And I'm retired.. take care.
Want to thank you so much for the latest videos! I tell everyone about your bus tour video! I loved it so much, and wish I could do it! Some of us just will never travel,age..money....So please know love you, admire you!!God bless!
Hi Luv, sorry I’ve been non compos mentis. Good to see your face...missed you. Update, bought 4 acres in Whetstone, AZ and a fifth wheel I’m renovating as my base camp. Will be back in Quartzsite this season in trusty RV, which of course I’m keeping. Hope to meet up again.
I was finding with oatmeal I wasn't satisfied, I now cook up quinoa and I will take a bowl of this, add hot milk (to heat it up) add a touch of sweetness (fruit or honey etc) and this seems to keep me full longer. Love your videos.
Wow - what a gorgeous place! Good for you! The muffins sound perfect - Protein in the quinoa flour, a healthy carb in the pumpkin and a healthy fat in the walnuts - yummy!!!!! I'll have to give them a try. This trip is marvelous - I'm so excited for you. Yes, I realize that I'm responding to older events but it's when I see them. Nice that folks want to share time with you - but yeah - quite challenge. Love your travel plans; "I think I'll go here today" is a fun way to roll.
I love that you went to Alaska. I lived there for five years in my 30s... glad you got out before you had to experience Breakup... I think that you missed out by not going to Homer... but anyways, thanks for your lovely vids. You also got me wearing piggytails again... love your braids... very fun! Keep on keepin' on, Carolyn!

Thank you for sharing it with us! thank you for being real but mostly thank you for loving Capone!!! Trust me I know the sacrifices I also have a 13 year old Rottweiler who I don't leave anywhere!! I know my days are numbered with Max so he is my life and has my whole heart everyday!! 🥰🐶🐾 Kissess from me and Bones from heaven!!!
I just got a small pumpkin today to bake and make muffins and pudding with. Your muffins looked goooood. Capone is such a sweetheart! Scenery is so very beautiful. Thanks!!
In winter I make a low sugar muffin like that. They freeze well. I eat one right before bed, it keeps my blood sugar stable at night, especially with walnuts.
Wow I just watching u both mans best friend our beloved dogs this is amazing I wish I was able to see this country it’s so very beautiful excited for more I cannot wait take care until next time :)
💖🐕🐺💖Ohhhhhh know the musher she must have come from in Barrow!!! He was my neighbor and would take my kids out for rides. Those dogs LOVED to run. When he would go out to pick dogs to run they ALL wanted to go. There are some people that object to the whole sledding thing but I can tell you those dogs LOVE it! At Christmas he would dress up as Santa and come by the house with the dogs and take the kids out then too. There you go making me miss my old life again. 💖💖💖
Hi Carolyn! Well how about that! Guess you can make a deep sigh! What a beautiful N.P. So glad you enjoyed yourself! I did too! Thanks! ☺ Esther from N.Y.📷
If you are really unreasonably craving sugar, digestive bitters will help immensely, you take some right after a meal and yeah...no sugar craving. Urban Moonshine is a great brand. I highly recommend it.
Great video! I am not watching in order so trying to catch up to more recent ones. Love watching your videos you are so real and honest and inspiringly.

So did you end up going back? 🙂. FYI this weekend is the Road Lottery and its tomorrow-Tuesday I believe. Immediately following the day after the road opens to Mile 30 at Tek to private vehicles. It will remain open until snow closes it for the season. I’m going to try and go in next Friday-Saturday if the weather is decent. Moose rut is going on so big bull moose tend to get close to the road. And I know where you went afterwards. That is the Denali Highway at the end. 😉

If you are really unreasonably craving sugar, digestive bitters will help immensely, you take some right after a meal and yeah...no sugar craving. Urban Moonshine is a great brand. I highly recommend it.

Hi Caroline! Congrats on making Alaska! This is Dave in Raleigh, living in the 32 year old 37 ft. Bounder class A RV. I don't often comment, but I think that the last time I did you and Bob were in Uwharri National Forest, perhaps a year or more ago (you were in Matilda?). I just wanted to let you know that I'm subscribed and have been traveling with you two since your beginnings (vicariously) and have been enjoying every minute of it. It's all been extremely entertaining! Just so you know, I've never been to Quartzite but I've spent years in that part of the world, primarily in New Mexico but also in S.E. Arizona around the Gila and Apache National Forest and such. I spent a good deal of time in the Jemez mountains and that's bear country to the extreme and, you know, I've had numerous close encounters with them and every one has made me more than just a little nervous, but I've never been harmed, perhaps luckily. But you seem to be doing all the right things so you aught to be fine. Back in the day no one had bear spray (no one I knew) and I usually had a dog with me, as well. The key to the deal was excersizing good judgment being aware. If everybody was as freaked out as those subscribers you mentioned probably no one would have an Alaska experience, so go ahead with what you do. You probably are enjoying a once in a lifetime thing. Don't let those comments get you down. There's always someone who's gonna think you're a moron, no matter what you're doing. Personally, I think you're awesome! Carry on!
New to your vidioes. About a week and I am getting caught up. Thank you for showing me this beautiful state. Also glad to see you in a class C. So many of these are van life and e have a class A. Glad to know there is a place for us. Keep up the good work
Nites are noisy almost everywhere! Well done! Thanks! Rox
Have you ever thought about asking around your camping neighbors to see if anyone would be willing to dog sit for you? someone there might be willing to take care of Capone while you're gone for a few extra hours.
Carolyn says, "I'll go pet my dog." Great idea!
So beautiful! I love the sled dogs!
I am a spur of the moment gal! I have a few friends that love that they can call me and most of the time I am ready to go!
Carolyn, if it's any consolation, you are *not* invited to meet me or camp with me anywhere, anytime soon. Have a great day and thanks for your vid. Make NO plans. Peace out.
Thanks for the inspiration, Carolyn!! I'm half-way out the door!! lol
It's 1130am and I'm just having my breakfast, been up since 7 and got to have my coffee. Pumpkin muffins sound good, especially for autumn coming up, I know that you know this but want to say it anyway as some commenters will be making your pumpkin muffins, *DO NOT GIVE DOGS/CATS ANYTHING WITH "xylito" IN IT AS IT WILL KILL YOUR PET.
Absolutely love the music. Went straight to iTunes to purchase 😘 Nice choice sweet girl.
As always another nice video, thank you Carilyn!
I’m going to try that recipe. It fits what I need. I love quinoa. Great video. Like the music.
Good video, thanks Carolyn. :)
Nice trip, Capone is so chilled. You take care on your travels.
Awesome video. Capone is such a Beautiful Dog.
I loved this video, Carolyn....thanks again :}
If you ever come to the Bay Area, we have a parking spot. And a washer/dryer. I'm flexible.

Moose rut is going on so big bull moose tend to get close to the road.
And I know where you went afterwards. That is the Denali Highway at the end. 😉
