Lets think about how that would work. Would that mean that she has to draw while zooming in constantly, so she doesn't know how it looks in its entirety?
ive been really struggling recently with losing my love for art through gcse art and being really burnt out. your videos have helped reinspire me and made me remember how you first made me love art 💕💕💕
Honestly, you're one of the only people I trust with reviews like this! I remember another video you did AGES ago where you reviewed the Simbans PIcasso ArtTab and as a starting digital artist without a PC, you talking about it had me sold and it's my current tablet to this day, so thank you so much for being so open and honest with these reviews
this is the earliest ive ever been to any video lol. Also the beetle girl is awesome and its really funny because my recent DND character is a fairy barbarian based on a Hercules beetle! Love it
Wow, that is one hefty tablet for sure! I own the XP-Pen Artist 22R Pro, which is just as big and has 20 programmable buttons (10 each side) and 2 dials. These things are powerhouses and I love them!!
I just got the gen 1 for my birthday !! Really great product for a reasonable price, got it with the 30% off deal xp pen had recently :) excited to see how you like it! Isnt the packaging totally intimidating? It's soooo huge....!
As someone who currently draws with an elderly Huion attached to an even older Lenovo with a broken screen, this huge tablet makes me eyes glaze over a little. I am also one of those people who spends quite a bit on traditional art supplies but says "eh, it still works" of my digital supplies.
I loved how comfy and art-vloggy this video felt!! And the new thumbnails omg helloo?? It's so nice seeing more of both you and your persona! Also this tablet is like a dream omggg 🥹🩷 I wish I had the space for this thing!! It makes me think of when I used to go to more cons, there were always like 10 or so artists sitting at a tablet booth drawing on one of these massive things!! haha I've always wondered how it feels to sit infront of one
The Venezuelan moth reminds me of the final boss from Hollow Knight lol. Also, the second illustration you did was so good! I love your color palettes. It was one of my favorite things to admire when I read Unfamiliar.
This video is perfectly timed, my old Huion has degraded in color accuracy so I'm in the market for a new screen tablet. It's nice to see other brands being explored, I am hungry for current tablet model info so I can get one that I'll love!
It would have been so cute if you added wings to the second drawing on the moth, but I love your videos and theyve helped me draw better too-! Keep going
Here is how I rank the two art 1. The insect girls 2. Hitchhiker Despite the fact that I am scared of insects the insect girls are adorable. Great job on these two
I swear I'm never gonna get used to seeing someone draw with their left hand. I've been watching your content since 2018, and I still get surprised every time I see you drawing with your left hand.
I was watching the reveal for these tablets yesterday, and my goodness, are they ever awesome! I'm seriously considering upgrading from my Samsung S8 Ultra to the 165Hz version of the Pro 24 Gen 2. I love high refresh rate displays as they're just so much more responsive, and a 14" 120hz tablet is great... But a 165hz 24" tablet is _divine._ I just wish it had touch input, then it'd be perfect imo. I'm so used to touch input on my S8 Ultra, but I think getting used to not having it and all the other benefits in return make this worth the buy for me. Thanks for the review!
I draw on my iPad with procreate and procreate dreams if I were switch to computer what programs would you suggest (I want to be in the animation industry so I think I will have to switch over eventually) also you’re really cool I’ve watched you since middle school :3
I got a fairly cheap screen tablet from XP Pen almost 4 or 5 years ago now during a big sale. I have never had any issues with it and it still works perfectly, so I can honestly recommend them :)
Thanks for sharing, so for the clarity of your menus and all that. You didn’t notice any blurryness going on? All your menus and text looked clear? A while back I got the xencelabs 24 but had to return it because the screen just had this subtle blurryness I couldn’t get over 😭
I would not know what to do with a tablet that big 😅 definitely makes me want to dust off my poor drawing tablet tho (haven't touched it in months). When it comes to tradition art, what mediums do you like to use?
The part about not spending a lot for digital art but going crazy buying traditional materials is such a mood. I have only one paid art app (paint tool sai) and over 200 worth of pencils lol
the venezuelan poodle moth thing is actually really interesting bc the photo taken in 2009 shows distinctive antennae indicating it's part of the artace genus (the photographer even captioned it as possibly the species cribrarius, the dot-lined white moth), and a lot of pictures that people associate with 'the venezuelan poodle moth' are actually of domestic silk moths from the genus bombyx, species mori. i guess bc people saw the photo was taken in venezuela and that the moth looked pretty poodle-like they just started calling it that. sorry i got so distracted by the moth thing, i love bugs. love ur art too, ty for the review 🙏
There definitely are tablets that don't require a computer. Like the wacom companion and I think Huion has one too, maybe xppen but I haven't checked. But those are really expensive. A good alternative would be an ipad and apple pencil with procreate. A lot of professional artists even use that set up. You can usually get a older refurbished/used tablet for a good price. I got my ipad pro refurbished and used klarna to pay it off in small chunks. Bestbuy accepts paypal credit payments too. There's options out there. Good luck with your drawing!
now that i know this exists thanks to thats where my funds will be goning to and my wallet can thank you for haiving it cry. also i love the art so so much! i was wondering what brush you used to line and if it is avalible for csp?
I have a pretty cheap screenless Huion tablet at around 99 dollars. After 3 years I haven’t noticed any lag or decrease in performance. Maybe I just lucked out.
Hey Hailey I know you probably don’t take requests for videos often, but I would really love to see a by the book of either jekyll and Hyde or phantom of the opera! Only if you want to of course (I love your art and you inspire me so much!!!)
You're left handing? Cool! I used to be left handed but since there wasn't enough lefty stuff I switched hands so I have messed handwriting than everyone else in my grade.
They say use your whole arm, but I find that hard to try out since I always draw so small or something. Definitely no bigger than a notebook paper or close to it, especially digital since I always zoom in so much. Maybe if I had more drawing skills I can worry about large strokes more than now.
