    I definitely like the lines of the Pivots(I’ve got a new Smuggler) as the top tube and chain stays lining up looks so clean.

      The new smuggler is super rad! That review will be out shortly!

    I have run my switchblade in the high for all but the first 6 months i have owned it and love the higher BB.

    I love the Switchblade. One of my favorite bikes. However, the SCOR does a few things better that I was personally looking to improve when I bought the SCOR. First, it is a better technical climber IMO. I’m not sure why that is though I’m sure the steeper seat tube angle helps. It has a ton of traction and just seems to motor up things. I consistently clean techy climbs on the SCOR that I always struggle with on the Switchblade (and every other bike for that matter). Second, the suspension is incredibly supportive when standing and pedaling. I always felt the Switchblade wallow a bit when standing. The SCOR feels much more supportive. Third, I think the SCOR rear suspension does a better job tracking the ground and taking high speed repeated hits.
    My SCOR is built up with a newer Lyrik which I highly recommend. I agree with your point on Rockshox v Fox right now. Rockshox really is better (that’s not saying Fox is bad). I think this is especially true with the rear shocks. The super deluxe ultimate is much better than the float X I had on the Switchblade.

      Yeah I hope I covered most of if not all of what you said in the video. I agree with all parts on the climbing with the SCOR. I will cover this in a later video but the SCOR I think would be a lot better with a couple changes to the spec.

      If you replaced Switchblade with stumpy evo in the paragraph, this would mirror my experience after picking up my own 4060

    Great reviews. Like the idea of one winner instead of most reviews now days were everyone is a 10. I am a fan.

      Thank you! I appreciate it, I was excited to do something different then the rest of the bike reviews. Doesn’t make everyone happy but I do try to let people know all these bikes are rad.

    Coming from SJ EVO, the 4060 ST is just plain more fun for me. Maybe a hair less stable at speed due to geo, but Im faster on climbs. A lot faster on flow trails for me but about the same/slower on the sj. SJ evo just plows better and keeps you in a more neutral position in the bike. The suspension platform feels pretty similar to SC VPP. I think people need to heavily consider how the scor chainstays are not size specific, which is pretty lame imo. I think 433 works great for a medium, which is what i got. Even at this size, it notice how it's not the most stable bike, so I would strongly recommend demo your size before you pick it up

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Год назад

      Yeah I agree with you for sure! The 4060 is a rad bike, and for the right rider it could definitely be the best bike out there but it also has some things that a lot of people might not like as well. So 100% agree you should demo it before buying.

    I ordered my Switchblade two days ago Im super hyped to try it. I think its the perfect fit for my style of riding. Great review, keep it up!
    Also comparing a trail bike with a cadillac has to be the most american thing I've ever heard :D

    Would have liked to see a Specialized EVO in the group but you get what you can get. Both these bikes are nice. I’d likely give the Pivot the nod too. Any wandering uphill with the Pivot?

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Год назад +1

      I really wanted the SB140, Trek Fuel EX and Stumpy Evo, but none of them worked out sadly. But no wandering on the climbs on the pivot, super comfortable and planted on the climb.

    I have that same switchblade. For me 6' and 230 a large fits great. It floats over the rough and great climber with the DW link Do you think the size of the person and frame size makes people prefer different brands over others?

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Год назад

      Yeah I am sure a lot of things like that could make someone prefer a different brand over another. Rider height, weight, skill level, what they value more within each bike, etc. I try to break things down to let people know what the bike does even if it might not be something I don’t like or that I really like. Sometimes it’s hard to get the right point across always though.

      Six rides into my 2023 pivot. Climbs great. Cornering is terrible on rocks in Colorado. Float right off the trail.

    I think Pivot is going to phase out the Switchblade next year. I would rather have a Pivot 429 w the Enduro package or the Firebird, if I want go big. SB is a tweener.

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Год назад +1

      Have you heard that from a shop or anything? I personally wouldn't think they would get rid of this bike. Maybe an update but the middle range bikes are some of the most popular actually. I am with you though, if I were buying one I would go with one of the two you mentioned.

    • @petedog9581

      @@dialedmtb I have heard some chatter about that. Just like Transition didn't make Smugglers for a year or 2 and rebranded it w 29." Maybe something like that is in the works.
