    what happened to that motor short circuit/ground fault 7.5 HP 230v single phase motor question? that thing got botched. the writing was on point but you were telling about a 3 ph motor at 208...

    What size copper GEC would you select for a 400A service with 500kcmil main AL service conductors? You said 1/0. I think it should be #2. Did I miss something?

    Coach, 13:36 you start the question off as a Single Phase Motor 7.5 hp at 230v, but you solve the question with table 430.250 which is 3 phase and at 208 voltage.
    Is our FLC not supposed to be 40v according to 430.248? Or am I confused?
    Let's get to it.

    Why didn’t you do the 125% motor increase before the short circuit ground fault protection questions?? Multiple by 1.25, then multiply protective device demand factors?

      All love brother! I just wanna make sure I’m doing this right
      But from me to you, f that question! Because your 10 week program was ridiculously helpful!! And when I pass my test, you are to blame. I’m gonna schedule it in a month

      Great question! you will only do the 1.25 for motor conductors! Go get em!!!

    250 that 52 A4 requires ground rings to be not smaller than number two therefore the grounding electrode conductor shall not be smaller than the size used for the ground ring

    Looking at HVAC calc, 220.82 (C) says 100% of the nameplate rating of the heat pump, but you bumped it up to 125%. Is that because of 430.22? Didn't think that was necessary for the load calc

    • @ElectricalCodeCoach

      Disregard that 125%

      I was asking myself the same question. So just to be clear, according to his reply, we do not multiply by 125% and this example it’s wrong. I spent 30 minutes looking for an answer till I found this comment.

    You said round down 146.09 and the answer was 150. Did you mean round up?

    • @ElectricalCodeCoach
      @ElectricalCodeCoach  2 года назад

      Good eye, its just habit, you would round down to 146 on the calculation part, but would choose the next standard size
