Another way to save on your packaging time is buying a thermal printer! I waited WAY too long to get one for our etsy store, and it has really made things easier! :) Fun video as always; happy glassing!
You are so organized! My question is how do you make a profit with all the expenses of packing and shipping and Etsy and cost of materials and time to do everything? Not trying to be nosy, just can’t figure out how all the work is worth it
Absolutely. So this is my passion, yes, but the money is why I'm still able and willing to work myself to the ground 5 years later. After I quit my 9 to 5, I had no choice but to make it work. If your art is seen, wanted and loved, the rest will fall into place. I would be lying if I said I wasn't living a very comfortable life, thanks to my job. You have to account for all those expenses when pricing your work. That amount is accounted for, but irrelevant to the cost of your art alone. Does that make sense? Knowing my tree stars are on xmas trees across the entire planet, makes it worth it. 🖤 I make money. I don't have a social life. Like at all. Well put it that way.

So I am actually in the process of opening an Etsy shop. Do you have any tips on how to package and ship big windows? I manily do hand painted "farmhouse" windows.
Custom packaging. If your doing mainly panels, I would get custom boxes and stuffing/foam, foam corners, etc. Just pack pack pack, bubble wrap bubble wrap, packing peanuts and you'll be all set. Stability. Shock protection. Always do more then what you think you need. ♡

On another note, I looked at your Etsy shop and love the cosmic moons. I'm just starting stained glass and you are my #1 teacher! I can't find much about painting on stained glass as you did with the little stars on the moons. I just want to paint little eyes on birds. Can you please tell me what paint you use and any tips for painting on glass?

Large flat rates, 12x9x4, 10x8x4, 6x6x6, 10x8x3 and 10x8x6 are the ones I use most on every shipping day.
