Thanks for the review. For years I used a mag mount tank bag. Loved that T-bag. It was small with numerous interior and exterior compartments. But mag-mounted t-bag obviously doesn't work on KTMs. Good video. Eric
Thanks man, this was a very cool overview, you make a lot of good points 👍I cannot decide whether to even go with a tank bag. Tried them, but as you say fiddly at best and you still need to take it off every time you walk into a gas station. That's why I'm thinking of putting a part of my "tank bag stuff" into the tail section and the most valuable like wallet and documents + maybe rain gear as it doesn't weigh much into a good compact backpack that would double as a hydration pack. But then I thought about putting the hydration pack into the tank bag and eliminate the weight of the backpack! Oh the agony of choice ...
I have been searching for the holy grail myself. I ended up getting another tank bag from the Enduristan Lineup - one size up. It works for on-road touring and provides a bid more space without getting in the way too much. However, for off-road riding this small bag is as large as I am going to go from now on. I will try to put as much into the tail bag as I can but sometimes it is nice to have some storage up front - especially for the batteries ( I use a lot of them during a day). Well, now I have 2 tank bags and I can pick and choose. Good luck with your choice ;-)
Hi, thanx for the review. I also use enduristan equipment - sandstorm 4X/H, Blizzard L and the tailback. Í ´ m really happy with it. I ride an 790 ADV and set up a SW Motech tankbag before. I don ´t like the overstanding of the tankbag also they not waterproof! The solution with the two cable ties is very nice! I ´ll check this for my bike. Cheers Joerg
Sometimes those late tours are the best. The roads are quieter but the season brings its own challenges at times. I love this time of year on the bike., even in northern UK territory 😂
Thank you - glad it was helpful - I bought the next size up too - I am using both now depending on what I do with the bike. The next few days I will be using the small one for a trip the enduro park.
That would be a stretch - literally - there is some flexibility in the tank bags semi rigid design but just from the nominal size it would not really fit - if it does it would be very tight but I have nothing to try it out with here.
I am on tour right now to get some more experience with it before I do a video on it- so far so good. The chain is getting zero attention right now and it’s still looking good. By the end of this trip i should habe about 8000 km on it - see how good it keeps up 😉
Waterproof my ass. I rinsed my 4x tank bag under a light spray in my sink before returning it to adv depot since it got dusty after two rides. After 30 seconds it had a tablespoon of water in it. Imagine if I had my cell phone inside. I was returning it since the stitching pulled out due to it being second rate quality. Adv depot only refunded my sales tax since they say it can't be returned if opened. How can you tell it's not waterproof if you can't use it? ? Amazon had to step in to get my refund. Full disclosure I forgot to send back one of the straps which I have since mailed back. It was not abused ,it was just falling apart. I have since purchased a Mosko moto bag which appears to be twice the quality and has a zipper that doesn't require you grease it regularly. it also has a better inside ridge to help keep water out. It was also 30. cheaper.

Thank you very much Eric. 😎

Thank you very much. The cable tie solution works great now on tour. Huge time savings 😉
How is the shoulder coming on mate? Have you been given a time for when you can get back on the bike?
Yes, I am riding again. I am on a 2 week tour mostly along the Adriatic Coast - it’s so late in the season I hardly see any other bikers 😂

Good video, which would be better if not so dimly lit
Thank you Kris - these were my first attempts to do videos indoors after I could not ride due to a injury 😉
Do you think the dji mini 2 drone can fit in here along with the controller and extra batteries?
I don’t think that would fit. The drone or the controller but not both 😉
@@MotoVibes Ah thanks.. Really helpful in my purchase decision.
👍 I was looking for a small tank bag for my 1299S.
Thank you! Another option is from Mosko Moto - they also make good stuff but I liked the Enduristan design and simple zipper opening better
Thanks for the review. Very informative :)

Hi man!
Do you think a D90 with 18-105 will fit inside the 4X?
It measure circa 170x140x120mm.
Thank you, Ludovico

@@MotoVibes thank you a lot!!
Does it easely open and close with one gloved hand ?
Yes it does 😉
Thanks for the info very helpful
Thank you- glad it was useful 😉
hey! How do you like that maintenance free chain ?

Sorry to read that. Good thing there are plenty of good alternatives out there. So far the tank bags I have held up nicely for me
