    Whether this is right or wrong. This is why you don’t post EVERYTHING on social media. Don’t like what people are saying about your parenting skills? Then why post it to social media!?!?!

      Don't wanna be posted publicly. Don't go outside. Because people can record you and talk about you. Don't want that to be possible? Stay inside and be a hermit. Don't speak to people. At all. That's how you can avoid social media. If not you'll probably end up on it somehow .

    • @codyferrell1031
      @codyferrell1031 4 года назад +2

      ellenw1881 it is. I’ve took a two risk management college courses. Driving is the most dangerous activity we do. You are right. That’s why if I had an infant child; I would minimize the amount of riding time for my child. But sometimes you just have to - to get to A to B or taking the child to the doctor or etc. With that being said - THIS IS AN UNNECESSARY RISK!!! If there ever was one. Nothing about this benefits the child. A six month old is physically undeveloped for such an activity. They are very fragile... Everything about their body is facile. Especially their skull. On top of it all - infants are prone to drowning. This is simply attention seeking parents. Point blank.

      @ Well, for me, I would be kinda afraid to do this, you never know what could be in the water. At Disney World, a little boy was standing at the edge of the water, and a alligator came out of the water and got him. It is good that this child has a life jacket on, and medical people there, but if hurt badly, they may not be able to save him. Better safe than sorry for me. I see babies as a gift from God, and it is up to me to protect them.

    As a medical professional i cannot condone this foolishness...especially at that age where the head and neck are very fragile. Just the force of hitting the water in a fall can break the child's neck and they can drown and lose consciousness quickly...I have taken care of child drowning victims. I cannot take it lightly...God bless them.

      gozzilla177 I spent a lot of time outside...playing with children in the neighborhood. We swam in the creek...rode to the store on bikes. But you can’t put this in the same category. This is dangerous for so many reasons. This child is not developed enough to withstand the pressure of standing on skis. I know they made a special ski for him, but this could damage the baby’s legs and feet. Not to mention...there is a vast difference in playing in the yard..vs skiing on water. I have 2 grown children. I would never gamble their lives like this. Wrong on every level. I am well aware of what is required to ski. I learned to ski at around 8 years old. People need to respect the sport, and realize a baby has no business waterskiing.

      That’s not very nice to say. I have a Bachelors degree bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and she’s right. His legs are far too weak to be forced to stand like that. 6 month olds don’t even have knee caps. He can’t sit down if he’s tired or his legs buckle, he’s forced into that position by feet restraints. This can cause damage to his little legs. Granted I hope they didn’t have him do it very long, but having a child who is not strong enough to stand or walk on his own be forced into that position IS a lot of pressure on his little legs and can impact growth and development down the road.

I had healthy size boys but their overall size at 6 mos didn’t dictate their neck muscle control. I can say this though, as a parent who lost a daughter at 3 months and as someone who’s attended two infant funerals in the last 4 years (both drownings)-the devastation the loss of a child leaves is beyond comprehension and bottomless. @@Nomoretime33 Yes I have children and none have died. The most they have been injured is on the playground running around like normal children. I didn't have them wearing knee pads, helmet, bullet proof vest, and other protective gear on them. If I had did that then people would say I am not allowing them to be kids. They would say I am teaching them to be afraid of the world. The bottom line is no matter what parents do, there are always going to be other people who feel entitled to tell them what to do with their children. What does it matter if the parents did what they did for attention? Social media is all about getting attention. Everyone with a social media account is seeking attention. I wish my parents did with me what these parents did with their child. They are spending time with their child, that is not something many children today are getting from their parents. In all the good these parents did, many people want to find something negative to say out of jealousy. People don't want to see that they wanted to show the world what babies are capable of doing so they could explore new activities to do too. Exposing children to different things for them to learn stimulates their minds to want to learn more. I did it with my children and they were reading books by themselves at 3 years old. I see too many children with limited abilities these days. They should be able to explore different things.
      Some of my children are adults. I am old enough to know what l am talking about. I have worked with children all my life without anything happening to them worse than a few scraps running on a playground. None have died nor needed to go to hospital for injuries.

    So...if he lets go because he's tired...but his feet are strapped in...he'll get dragged? Again, they said it takes infants a few seconds to drown and if you think about all the water behind the boat coming up...and if he's on his back laying down with his feet strapped in...I mean...
