My parents would never have put me on skis at this age. I was 8 when I learned to ski. This is so dangerous. What is the price you can put on this baby’s life? Senseless.
gozzilla177 I spent a lot of time outside...playing with children in the neighborhood. We swam in the creek...rode to the store on bikes. But you can’t put this in the same category. This is dangerous for so many reasons. This child is not developed enough to withstand the pressure of standing on skis. I know they made a special ski for him, but this could damage the baby’s legs and feet. Not to mention...there is a vast difference in playing in the yard..vs skiing on water. I have 2 grown children. I would never gamble their lives like this. Wrong on every level. I am well aware of what is required to ski. I learned to ski at around 8 years old. People need to respect the sport, and realize a baby has no business waterskiing.
Very irresponsible Just for him to be the youngest really quick can turn into a death Obviously it’s there kid and they are gonna do wte they want but dang I would of waited till the baby was at least a lil bit bigger 🤷🏻♀️

@Kyle Brown They trained him for weeks, they had a nurse, paramedics, the babys doctor approved of it, and his dad is right the fuck their with his hand lol Not to mention they start swimming classes for kids under 1 to help prevent drowning. Yea but he’s not holding him It’s a little nerve racking cuz he can let go or hit the boat or go under But at the end of the day it’s there baby 🤷🏻♀️ and if they feel it’s safe and the baby isn’t getting hurt I guess right
People just need to stop judging parents, especially after they explain themselves on why and how they do the things they do with their kids even when they don’t have to. I’m sure they wouldn’t have let him try that if they weren’t confident he’d be able to.
Crystal Chavez the baby had a life vest on so he would of floated back up or wouldn’t be able to go under the water plus the baby knows how to swim it said in the video they put the baby in infant swim classes
Social media parenting, monetizing children. Probably prior to birth with the 'gender reveal' narcissism by proxy also. Then you have GMA touting, 'come here for your awesome videos' at the end of the clip, and getting a piece of the pie too. No wonder kids act up with adult world.
So the parents wanted to get into the World Records and couldn’t do it on their own 🤷🏻♀️ a pool is much different than the lake or ocean. Costly price to pay for world recognition if something went wrong.

@@wonakeetaylor3761 Can't complain when you haven't learned to talk. Knees are not supposed to bend that way. That's why babies crawl before walking to strengthen their muscles
@Stanley Hape That’s not very nice to say. I have a Bachelors degree bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and she’s right. His legs are far too weak to be forced to stand like that. 6 month olds don’t even have knee caps. He can’t sit down if he’s tired or his legs buckle, he’s forced into that position by feet restraints. This can cause damage to his little legs. Granted I hope they didn’t have him do it very long, but having a child who is not strong enough to stand or walk on his own be forced into that position IS a lot of pressure on his little legs and can impact growth and development down the road.
@@Mrbfgray if the kid was old enough, absolutely but the kid it's obviously not in that stage of life. I the parents did it because they want attention is so lame. We live in a society that everyone need validation, what are they teaching to the kid?

I use to love waterskiing, but would not dare put a baby this young on water skis. I see this as being very dangerous. Anything can happen. I remember being drug through the water when I fell when up on skis for the first time. The angle of the babies legs does not look right to me. Why not wait until the child is about 6 years old to start this. Akin to child abuse. This infant can’t say I don’t want to do this. Parents...stop this now before you do damage to the baby...or worse yet an accident kills the baby.
I taught babies & kids how to swim & all of my kids learned as infants. Now, as adults they are all into skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing, motor biking, wake boarding.. etc etc. . My eldest son is training to be an emergency helicopter pilot. I think it’s awesome that they’re exposing their son so early to water sports! It’s going to improve his muscle function, balance and coordination. It seems like they took all the precautions necessary! Kudos to these active parents!
@@ShadowF- Uh.. yes. That’s the safest place to start teaching them at a young age. Don’t most people learn to swim in pools? If you don’t have access to a pool, you may need to start in a lake or the ocean. Islanders learn in the ocean. I’m not really sure I understand your point?
“He’s never fallen before.” It only takes once. That and how many times has he done this on water again? Maybe just wait until he’s 12-18 mos and has better muscle control. I had healthy size boys but their overall size at 6 mos didn’t dictate their neck muscle control. I can say this though, as a parent who lost a daughter at 3 months and as someone who’s attended two infant funerals in the last 4 years (both drownings)-the devastation the loss of a child leaves is beyond comprehension and bottomless. It’s not worth the risk just to be first to do it or become Insta-famous. I couldn’t stop my baby girl’s cancer but they can control a tragedy from happening on the water.
Babies have to be rear facing in a car seat until they are 2, for a reason. A baby's neck can snap easily. Not to mention their little brain can sustain irreparable brain damage.
@SUGAR TO SHIT you've posted this like 20 times under other comments and I just have to tell you how stupid you sound. That kid is loving it. He even took direction from dad and stood up taller when prompted. If the kid was on two separate skis and no life jacket, then I’d question this, but I don’t see any problem. The parents have taken precautions and are obviously water-skiers themselves.

That is not how it works! If that was the case we would not have CPS. Just because you have a child does not mean you get to do whatever you want to them. People like you most likely abuse children and want others to "mind their own" You act like parents don't harm their children every single day.
French Vanilla while you do have a point this does not fall under abuse. If it did the video is out there as proof. To a certain degree it is up to the parent what they do with the child.
Jody Burke nope. It’s still my opinion that it’s nobody’s business but theirs. They aren’t hurting anyone. Why does anyone care so much? Are you emotionally invested in this child? Too much of what is going on in society is people making something that isn’t their business their business. Are there exceptions to this such as a child’s safety? Yes. But that opinion is subjective. You have no right to decide how someone raises their child. Period.

This is stupid. These parents want attention for themselves. How can this man think this is an accomplishment for the baby? He isn't old enough to know what an accomplishment is.
These parents are amazing! They obviously make sure he gets lots of time to build core muscles, and not to mention the dad is literally right beside him and would no doubt be off the boat instantly if the little guy fell.

I don't know how much more people can expect from these parents. It looks like they crossed all their t's and dotted all their i's in making sure their child is safe.

@@Nomoretime33 Yes I have children and none have died. The most they have been injured is on the playground running around like normal children. I didn't have them wearing knee pads, helmet, bullet proof vest, and other protective gear on them. If I had did that then people would say I am not allowing them to be kids. They would say I am teaching them to be afraid of the world. The bottom line is no matter what parents do, there are always going to be other people who feel entitled to tell them what to do with their children. What does it matter if the parents did what they did for attention? Social media is all about getting attention. Everyone with a social media account is seeking attention. I wish my parents did with me what these parents did with their child. They are spending time with their child, that is not something many children today are getting from their parents. In all the good these parents did, many people want to find something negative to say out of jealousy. People don't want to see that they wanted to show the world what babies are capable of doing so they could explore new activities to do too. Exposing children to different things for them to learn stimulates their minds to want to learn more. I did it with my children and they were reading books by themselves at 3 years old. I see too many children with limited abilities these days. They should be able to explore different things. Some of my children are adults. I am old enough to know what l am talking about. I have worked with children all my life without anything happening to them worse than a few scraps running on a playground. None have died nor needed to go to hospital for injuries.

I have kids too they run jump do all kind of things. My problem with this video is that why they are doing it, it's just for attention, and the kid doesn't have the age for those activities, if the child was 5, 6.. and he wanted to try it then fine. In this situation the baby is not ready and the parent are looking for attention, that's why they make it public.

That’s what this is about, ego and attention for a “Guinness Book of World Record”.
Sometimes being a parent in this era is very frustrating. Everything you do you'll be cited for irresponsible and careless. Or even child abuse. Whilst the 90's kids are fin
Kids in the 90s weren’t exploited for the ‘Gram 😂
Right i turned out fine, i was a kid in the 90s you know when they locked the door and said you can come in for lunch and dinner otherwords you stay outside all day ALONE!!!! lol
Pretty much raised our selves, we knew how to cook, clean, wake our damn selves up for school, wash laundry, and we are all still alive lol
I grew up in the 70s....as unsafe as it got for kids. People are doing this for media now....so no...it's not the same.
Very irresponsible
Just for him to be the youngest really quick can turn into a death
Obviously it’s there kid and they are gonna do wte they want but dang I would of waited till the baby was at least a lil bit bigger 🤷🏻♀️
They are right there, the kids has a great vest. He might get a gulp of water. Someone always has something to say.
They were right there, they've been working with him.
@Kyle Brown They trained him for weeks, they had a nurse, paramedics, the babys doctor approved of it, and his dad is right the fuck their with his hand lol Not to mention they start swimming classes for kids under 1 to help prevent drowning. Yes you can take your baby to a class before they are 1 to teach them to instinctively roll over to their backs so they dont drown.
We are the only species on the planet that coddles their babies this much, i mean seriously have you seen other animals? lol
Irresponsible is a compliment ... they are a fU&KING pair of IDIOTS !!!

Very true! Babies knee caps don’t even develop fully until 18 months.
If their pediatrician gave them the green light and the dad was right next to him the whole time, I don't see where anyone else has the right to give them crap for it. The dad also said that there was a doctor and nurse on the boat with them, so...
This is true. Which also makes them quite durable and flexible. I wouldn't do this with my 6 month old. But I do take my 1 year old on the jet ski with us while towing my 8 year old and 6 year old on the tube while my wife sits on the back spotting lol
Kids are tough!
They just wanted to go viral and make some $. Even looking at his legs is uncomfortable.
There was no doctors in a separate boat. They are just reckless people.
But they said doctors were in the other boat. How do you know there were no doctors?
“Unattended” while his dad is right there? 🤔🙄🙄
Yea but he’s not holding him
It’s a little nerve racking cuz he can let go or hit the boat or go under
But at the end of the day it’s there baby 🤷🏻♀️ and if they feel it’s safe and the baby isn’t getting hurt I guess right
Fabian Reyes that’s your point ? Lol.
Bit what of the baby removes his hands from the bar? Couldn't he fall in the water?
@Con Sitter how old are you? 5?
The are idiots who wanted attention. That all.
It kinda look like his legs wanted to buckle
6 month olds can’t walk, and shouldn’t be forced to stand by restraints. Water or no water, the position they are forcing him in is abusive.
Exactly. His little legs are not strong enough to bare weight. Poor little thing..
@@Kathy-yw8yh I saw him (the baby) standing unsupported in the palm of his dad's hand in this video.
@@ee5360 The only restraints were on his feet, which is common practice with skiers of all ages. Nothing was forcing the baby to stay in a standing position.

Pretty much. Unless this baby wakes up every day and screams, "WATER SKI!!", this is just terrible parenting. The people that support are also terrible parents probably.

@@stanleyhape8427 at 6 months old legs are not strong enough. Do you have kids?
@Stanley Hape
That’s not very nice to say.
This has nothing to do with the kid, it’s an ego trip for the parents...and they went viral, just like they wanted to.
It's fantastic for the kid regardless.

Alice Hays what if dad slipped and missed? Like when grandpa slipped and dropped the baby out of the cruise ship. Just because someone is close, doesn’t guarantee safety.
I bet You do that on pools
@@ShadowF-
Uh..
The baby was clearly in arms reach and he was being supervised NOT unattended like that comment said
I’m arms reach as long as he didn’t hit a rough patch of water and went under. 👍🏾
Babies have to be rear facing in a car seat until they are 2, for a reason. A baby's neck can snap easily. Not to mention their little brain can sustain irreparable brain damage.

I agree the baby is too young but guess what? ITS NOT MY BABY!!! It’s their business. Mind your own.
French Vanilla p.s. CPS is a joke.
They put it out there. So we have the right to state our opinion. Agree or disagree.
Yes. Do you have kids? How old are you ?
