For the first time I am listening to Parthasarathi Desikan. I listened to Kaushiki’s golden voice many a time. His voice is more than excellent. What a rich voice he has got ! Great singing by couple. I am music novice. I feel this Ganapathi bhajan is somewhat similar to Carnatic style may be because of Hamsadhwani.

Raag Hamsadhwani originated in carnatic music and much later, was adapted into Hindustani classical music.
If you noticed, Desikan's sryle of rendering in this duet was entirely aligned with Carnatic music while Kaushiki followed the Hindustani style. Brilliant jugalbandhi.

Those who are interested, search for and listen to - vaataapi gaNapatim bhajE- a carnatic music kriti in the same raaga, hamsadhwani. It is immensely famous, and should be available in versions by many musicians, vocal and instrumental. There is one version with Kaushiki with Sri Balamurali Krishna, her guru in carnatic music.

I think the original is Vatapi ganapatim. The Hindustani version was made based on Vatapi.
