I love that you put the emphasis on different people enjoying different aspects of games. So many people seem to review things with the thought that everyone values the same things, but this is more open to different perspectives. Thanks! This game also ended up being more up my alley than I expected and I’ll wishlist it for sure. Hopefully it gets a physical release!
Thank you for highlighting lesser known games all the time! I see enough about the Blockbusters and honestly, they don't have much draw for me. The indie games that are more creative and unique are what keeps me excited about gaming and you do an excellent job of promoting those on your channel!
I quite like the review method. It feels fair and balanced while giving a buffer between a targeted audience and a more casual one. It's honestly a solid metric for identifying a lot of the game's strengths and flaws that can make the difference of keeping away or buying that day. Keep up the wonderful work dude, I appreciate the new format and transparency of where the game's review copy comes from. I don't think I'd buy it but it does make me look forward to more games to be reviewed in this format.

I wonder if the devs imagined their game being played by "normies," who will eventually, or already are, occupying roles within the systems KEYLOCKER is commenting on in its studio. Like, this is a game that could enlighten the at-risk Fascists (of all walks of life) who end up playing this game
I really enjoyed this video, and maybe I'm the "perfect audience" but I personally find the setting etc VERY relatable, if you strip away the "style" portion of everything it's literally about punks etc rebelling against a corrupt government, you could swap in any country, place etc and fit this in there where you compare it to book burning or even how Russia has recently tried to outright ban RUclips etc. I also find the style to be that unhinged, Adventure Time style "controlled chaos" so even it's appearance doesn't negatively affect me, especially when we have games like Brutal Orchestra, Clown Meat, Ultros, Post Void, or even AAA games (which, I had the perfect example for and during writing this I lost it and can't recover the memory atm😭) So while I do think I am in the perfect audience section, there's more to be gained from looking at it from a further distance and it might be more relatable than you initially thought (especially depending on the person and the type of life they've had)
I will say that I am a "musician" (technically), an artist, and I love psychedelic mushrooms and have spent a lot of my life being being anti government lmao so those things definitely put me more in line with the target audience I think 😂
Agreed, yeah. The fight against the government part was really cool and absolutely relatable. The androids plus the location, distant future and all the weirdness was what made me feel disconected to the game. I may not have made that clear enough sorry. But yeah, totaly agree, I also liked the power struggle in it.
The score range is really good, and I feel like more reviewers should use this metric for deciding the game genre rather than the staticky number you see on IGN.
Yeah, its exactly because of a bunch of IGN atrocious reviews that killed great games that I decided to come up with this format! Glad you enjoyed COZYTW!
This looks gorgeous and would be right up my alley… Except for all the rhythm “game” stuff I’ve always cordially disliked quicktime events. No shade if you like them. To me they’re a series of “push this specific button right now” instructions. Not fun if you succeed, just irritating if you slip up.
Yeah, Keylocker is heavy on timed inputs. Its more focused on reading the enemies than the quick time stuff, but it has both. Reading the enemies felt great, super well done on the enemies animations and all that. But anyone who is not a fan of this kind of thing will probably not enjoy.
There is so much under the hood you won't see until you either stumble on it or look it up. You won't get connection with characters unless you know how to complete certain quests and gain the affection of friends. These are the things that make it great but will also, unfortunately, push others away. TL,DR: Cyberpunk Mario RPG, what else could you want?!
This review is really great! However, one thing that seemed weird is that you put parts of the UI in the "spirit" section. While it is a pretty general category, it seems weird to include something that should be either in the gameplay / graphics side of it.
I would say the relatability is sort of what you touched on right after you said you weren’t sure how to relate to it: it’s a warning and monkeys paw of what giving up your freedoms and god given rights for what the people in power claim is a “utopia” and what it would entail. It ends up being a dystopian society like you see here.

Glad you enjoyed! Im also happy how this format turned out! Will keep them coming! Yeah a physical of Keylocker would be awesome.
I love this format! ❤
Putting a spotlight on a "random" Indie game to increase it's popularity and match it to its audience 😊
Thanks Alfredo! Glad you enjoyed!

My pleasure! :D Yeah, indies are the most creative for sure, this here is a fine example

Enjoyed the format quite a bit, watched it twice from start to finish. Shout out, into the Void.;)
Awesome, thanks for the double view! :D
Having a lot of fun with this one!
Absolutely, great game!
It’s for cool and/or weird people ☺️

Great idea
Thanks Dominic!

Cool! Let us know for sure!
Appreciate the vids ❤
Thanks for watching anirudh!
Great method. I’m not a turn-based fan but I like weirdo stuff so I’d probably fall somewhere in the 8-ish range.
Grabbed the demo and haven't tried it yet but love the look and theme

How long did it take you to beat the whole game. Want to know if it is short or long.
Dev said and other review its like 40+ hours very long and cheap lot of side content and exploring too
Chapter 5, 20+ hours
@@bearofthewest389 thank you appreciate it
@@SurzhenkoAndrii there is only 5 chapters
