@@theinfinitepassportTV Thank you. I do enjoy sleeping the car. It is always cozy and feels great after a busy day of activity. I loved being able to back my car up to a cliff while in Utah, open the rear hatch, and lie on my bed savouring the view. I hope your build works out for you. It doesn’t need to be complex. Mine has been a very iterative process.
Very nice! Is it difficult to get up into bed since it is raised? I am working on a CRV and have not done the bed platform yet. I am in my mid 60s and was concerned about having a climb up into the car with the bed was raised.
I was concerned about platform height too so I made it the minimal height to get it level from front to back. The platform section under my head and back essentially has no height. I’m 62 and find it not to bad to get in or out. Getting in, I put one foot on the door plate then rotate myself in. Lots of headroom to sit and read. I can lean forward to change my top.
Very nice setup!
very practical nice job👍Enjoy!🚙🌅
Looks really good, love how easy that was to build. Also light weight is a good idea.
Looks good! Don't you love sleeping in the vehicle? I have in my Forester but it's time to do some platform building as well.

@@wanderworm interesting. I may need to at least try a very low platform after my next little outing. Thank you! Safe travels!
@@shirleyrowe4078 another perk of having a platform, even a low one, is that you can store gear under it.
