    I accidentally ended up in this situation recently. My husband made 40 servings of chocolate mousse, and left 24 egg yolks in the fridge for me to use! I made egg yolk pasta, mango curd bars, and SO MUCH mayo! And I kept thinking of Andrew, and all the amazing things I'm sure he could make with 24 egg yolks!

      He should do one actually!!! There are so many things you can make with egg yolks, my favourite is cured egg yolk. I'm lactose intolerant so kinda helps lol

      I think combining this with a fully egg white episode would be a neat two parter! Or "how to pair your only egg yolk recipes with only egg white recipes in a smart way so you don't waste one or the other" ha

    I'm always intrigued when I see these videos come up in my suggestions and really do enjoy them. One thing I would like to see is something in most people's fridges and even in this episode; the humble egg. It's used for breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts and even snacks. We all know things like omelettes, hard-boiled eggs and the like but what are some really out side the box recipes to do with them?

      Hard boiled marinated eggs. Either Korean style with garlic, sugar, chilli and garlic or the German style ‘Soleier’ ( salt eggs). Dissolve salt in water until hard boiled eggs float, let marinate for at least a day, better is a week. Eat by slicing in half, remove the yolk add freshly ground pepper, vinegar and oil (optionally: spicy mustard) and put the yolk back. Eat one half at a time.

    Hey Andrew, for the next videos maybe try cooking Mushrooms and Carrots cause there are a lot of varieties available for both of them, plus as ingredients they are super versatile. As a slight curveball try cooking with Coconuts and Honey, there are different varieties for each and I'd like to see what you come up with.

      Mushrooms are a great idea because of the amount of things I already know you can do. Carrots are a great idea because I know like 2 ways to cook them.

    I’d like to see mushrooms cooked in many different ways. It may already be an episode I’ve missed. But I love mushrooms and I feel like they’re an overlooked food item that compliment so many things’

    I just love this series . It’s so calming and relaxing to watch , with no intention of making anything fast or making everything right , but is made with a sense of wonder and awe at how a ingredient tastes different under different cooking techniques, temperature and cuisines.

      It's actually an occasional problem in bakeries. We end up with butter when someone multitasks and miscalculates the timing, while making whipped cream.

      You don’t even need a stand mixer, you can just shake the heck out of it in a covered container. We did that in school when I was like 10. Actually a pretty good way to get your kids involved in a holiday meal. Just send them outside and don’t come back till you have butter

    Clarified butter is known as GHEE in INDIA. We have a spoon of ghee with each meal and it just takes the taste to the next level at same time providing the nutrition. We just love ghee with anything. You should some.

      I buy Ghee all the time in my area in US. Having clarified butter on hand without having to refrigerate is great. Anytime I want to make Hollandaise sauce or its variants or just cook meats and veg in something other than oils that can go unhealthy if they smoke is wonderful.

      Heard in many videos of Ghee, but dont know what this is ^^

      @@Compo12344321 it's almost the same. He mentioned browning the white bits which is ghee. There is no water and milk fats in ghee but clarified but has some. If heat butter till you get white particles and strain it it's clarified butter and if you heat it till those white turn brown and then strain it's ghee. Technically ghee has a nuttier and richer taste and lasts longer.

    I have up to 20 packs of Kerry Gold butter in my freezer and fridge at all times. Can't live without and Kerry Gold is the only butter I use. I wish I could make homemade butter that approximates the taste but have not been able to as yet. Thank you Andrew for some wonderful ideas for my hoard of butter.

    One day I saw a chef add a knob of butter to his fried rice right at the very end and it's completely transformed how I cook fried rice. Seriously everyone please try it, any kind of fried rice is fine just drop a good slab of butter in at the end for an amazing new experience

    I'd love to see a video on something like parsley or cilantro. Something that's usually used just as a garnish, but finding recipes that bring them front and center into the dish.

    I would love to see an episode of this series with either miso or honey! There's such a variety of each, and both are such simple and broad ingredients it'd be neat to see how Andrew tackles them in variety of dishes.
    ...also because I just order a frankly ridiculous amount of honey in a variety flavor pack and need more ideas of what to do with all of it 😅

    An absolute delicious Belgian dish is when you put butter sauce (just melted butter) and mashed cooked egg over cooked asparagus. Combine that with a good roast beef and croquettes and you got yourself an absolutely delicious Sunday dish! for us! We call it 'Asperges op Vlaamse Wijze'. It's an absolute feast!

    Great episode. I just drooled on my laptop. Here's another "recipe" for you for your leftover pound cake. Generously butter (yeah, I know) both sides of a thick slice and sprinkle with sugar. Then pan fry until it is golden brown and the sugar is nice and crystalized. It brings stale pound cake back to life and is so delicious you won't even feel guilty about buttering an already buttery cake.

    Suggestion: when making your own butter take about 1/3 of it out when the whey first starts to separate. This is incredible on soft baked goods like banana bread because it’s right between whipped cream and butter.

      yeah and people always act like that middle-stage is unusable "broken whipped cream" or "not butter yet" but it's really good on fruity stuff. i put it on a lemon pie instead of meringue.

    I think you should have tried to make Bearnaise sauce along with the Beurre blanc.
    They are pretty similar in ingredients and technique.
    It would also have been nice to show how to store it in the fridge and reuse it, a normal serving can last for multiple meals.

    I personally love the series of videos that ATE has to offer, because of the fact that they too are exploring, experimenting and finding their way through different flavors and ingredients. Their journey has so much to learn from about the various kinds of cuisines and ways to prepare food out there. This is just suggestion but I think it would great to have a series where you go through all the basics of flavor pairings and put out recipes that represent them the best. Ex: citrus and cream, sweet and spice, etc. Because I am sure there are many people who love to try out different foods but are apprehensive on cooking because of their lack of basics when it comes to flavour parings.

    It's recipes like homemade butter that make me wish I had a stand mixer. I sometimes make homemade butter, but I shake the cream in a jar until the butter solids and buttermilk separate. It's definitely an arm workout!

    I'd love to see this with apples or prawns if we include meat or fish
