- Scott Ritter is a former Marine intelligence officer who served in the former Soviet Union, implementing arms control agreements, and on the staff of General Norman Schwartzkopf during the Gulf War, where he played a critical role in the hunt for Iraqi SCUD missiles. From 1991 until 1998, Mr. Ritter served as a Chief Inspector for the United Nations in Iraq, leading the search for Iraq’s proscribed weapons of mass destruction. Mr. Ritter was a vocal critic of the American decision to go to war with Iraq. His new book, Disarmament in the Time of Perestroika: Arms Control and the End of the Soviet Union, is his ninth.

Watching Scott Ritter on You Tube is the single best thing I've ever done, along with other American patriots like Col. Doug MacGregor and Gerald Celente. I am 76-years old now, and I have not seen the US closer to actual nuclear war since the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1963. If cooler heads don't prevail in Ukraine and Israel, I fear for the world.
As Scott has said, we're closer now than we were then.
This was to be expected since Russia is a Super Power with Nukes...

Scott Ritter, you always a thrilling voice to listen to. What many pay so much to acquire in the higher institution or military institutions is what Scott goves out for free. And you are doing that , not because you wanted to be seen to have military intelligence, but because you have witnessed war before, and do not want to have to witness another,that could end in the use of nuclear missile or nuclear weapons that might consume millions of people innocently. Thank you for your expertise!

I will describe it as a victim mentality, not fearlessness, why? because the naive baby is not actually naive, it is the perception that is being projected to gain sympathy. They know that the audience will be gullible to a naive baby crawling on the edge of a cliff similar to the expansion of NATO toward Russian borders. While it is a time-tested technique of operations, It is deceptive and misleading.

Scott has outperformed his usual himself today! His caustic analysis of natso military capabilities is sharp and memorable. His description of Baltic states, relying on Germany, is absolutely correct. I heard many times from Estonians in the 60s of their desire to be under German protection. Their visceral hatred of Slavs (Russians, Ukrainians, etc) has been obvious to anyone, who ever visited Baltics.

Western Ukraine would be taken over by the Hungarians and the Poles. There’s a big component of ethnic Hungarians and Poles in Western Ukraine.
Once this is all done, Ukraine would be a land-locked rump state, and what remains of Ukraine would be totally unviable as a self-sustaining country, unless the Hungarians and Poles “help” by taking those regions over.

Russian artillery are mind boggling accurate.
They used all their old stuff up to now. Now the modern artillery will be used.
The Russians have some new self-propelled cannon with a long range of up to 70 km. It is very precise. Almost every time a direct hit on the target. At least that's what it looks like, because maybe they only show hits and not missed targets? Today it is difficult to believe in anything before it is truly proven to be so or not.
@@useryggfdccThey use both. It depends on the situation. For example, old tanks are used as cannons instead of armor piercing. Due to the fact that they have tanks for the first lines, and these old tanks that instead of reparation are used in a different way than originally intended.

Wow, this was some classic Scott Ritter! I love his sardonic over the top cussworthy humor.
Scott causes me to remember a Marine buddy of mine. He was on a fire base in Vietnam. He was a field radio repair man. So they put him in the safest place in the center of the fire base. The ammo dump. He was surrounded by high explosive ammunition while he worked. It was crotch pot hot then. He had a little muffin fan, one of those 3 inch things blowing on him while he worked. Other marines would come into his bunker to stand behind him just to feel the little bit of breeze.

USA will not deploy troops but can lob some missiles from US bases in Romania when the front approaches Odessa. That will be devastating for Romania. We do not want to have anything to do with this war. We are orthodox like the Russians but we are Romance speaking people, not a Slavic people, we had only problems with Ukraine that still holds Romanian lands gifted to them by Stalin. We want to be a bridge between the East and the West, much like Hungary
Why can't the missiles go the other way in the area? Calibers can reach Italy. Its odd to think that the conflict will be localised in Romania, illogical from russian prospective. You are not incorrect.

I believe the key to peace in Europe is for the EU to become a viable alternative to NATO. Cut NATO down to US, Canada, Iceland , Norway and UK - Countries that are actually in the North Atlantic and not in the EU. EU raises its own army around a Franco-German core. All US troops out of Europe. All Russian troops are already out. Better yet declare a nuclear free Europe. Russia can keep its nukes East of the Urals and France can keep them in French Guinea but no nukes and no missiles in Europe. I dont think Russia will object to Ukraine and Moldavia joining such a EU military union. As long as EU stays neutral it can also trade freely with China without getting dragged into the China-US competition.

I agree with Scott that the aggressive warrior ethos of American Marines is probably among the best battlefield training available but, like the Marines found on Iwo Jima even the best training and tactics cannot immediately overcome overwhelming artillery mines and mortar fire along with machine guns and rifle fire coming from concealed positions from an enemy that simply can't retreat because there's nowhere to retreat to... now we have missiles and drones and other advanced weaponry and still,, ukrainians are being destroyed in place and forced to retreat in pitched battles reminiscent of the most serious confrontations on the Eastern front in 1944...
Man I just love it when Scott gets all fired up, I could listen to him all day everyday. I even increased my speed to 1.5x the normal it makes it even more fun to listen to him, thanks for having Scott on.

Russia knows, they just don't want to fall into potential traps. That's why despite seeing basically no resistance, they've still only slowly moved forward step by step, because they know all it takes is one well planned ambush to cause serious losses. So they've been playing it mostly safe, because they know that the Biden regime would love to have such a thing happen to rub Russia's face in. Even as the Biden regime has been losing, its basically been touting itself as winning....now imagine how they'd behave if they got an actual win. The minefields are mostly just to slow the Russian advance, but also pretty much the last line of defense too. That's why they've been defending the minefield with drones, but they're definitely burning through their drone supply. Every mine cleared is land that the Biden regime has lost, because the only thing holding these areas are the mines.

NATO reminds me of an organization for military models. These are people who, when they train, actually go on vacation and play shooting games, that's all they can and know how to do. They have no idea about the battlefield, neither do we who have gone through the war, let alone people who just practiced somewhere safe, they can't even imagine the totality of the war in Ukraine. These are huge differences in approach due to a different perspective on the same situation.

I have a Ukrainian friend who has just done one months training in a UK base. My friend was captured from the street. No one wants to be in the army. They are trained by British and Ukrainian trainers.They do different courses. The Ukrainian trainers tell the recruits don't listen to what the British tell you , they have only experience of fighting guys in sandals. They don't know what a drone does. You will be dead in a day if you listen to them.
Many in the group were in tears when having stuff explained to them. I visited my friend a number of times. There were a surprising number of women recruits !!
The girls and women had signed up because they did not want to leave their boyfriends and husbands. They did not reveal their relationships of course. They are all prisoners on the base and cannot leave. On an outside coach trip to another base to do trench and night time training the coach was not allowed to stop for toilet breaks.
Recently at a German NATO base 50 Ukrainian trainees escaped because there were no fences and Ukrainian officials complained big time!! Guys who have special or leadership abilities are sent back to the UK for an Extra months training maybe even a third or fourth month..... The mess hall had a Blue ceiling and yellow walls.... Very Ukrainian. Even the local village church flies a Ukrainian flag !!!!!! A young Brit soldier who escorted me said he would be happy to fight in Ukraine against the Russians.... Because He had seen the movie 20 days in Mauripol....😂
