Linctavia is the most Canon ship on this show, they are soo likable, inspiring and dreamy. Plus Marie is very calm and cute whereas Ricky loves playing around, they're like the perfect combo, no wonder they have so much chemistry on screen!

Corzza025 There are other relationships on the show already and the show doesn't feel like a romance show in the slightest. It's all in the execution. Execution and balance. I don't think "romance" is what drives this story.
moodylupin Yes i agree, i never said "romance" drives the story. I said i hope they don't turn it into a romance show. If you want an example of what can happen, look at Arrow season 3, they put Oliver and Felicity in a relationship and it turned out fucking horrible, all because the fans were begging for them to be together. I just hope that doesn't happen in the 100.
Bob's reaction at 28:26 to Jason's answer to the Bellarke question is PRICELESS. You can tell that the cast have been asked not to comment on it by the writers.

TheQueenAndHerKnight Considering the amount of CRAZY Bellarke fans gave the cast - especially Jason and Bob - online, it's a difficult subject. Bob wrote something about loving Lexa and Clarke and the Bellarke fans started attacking and insutling him on twitter. They are nuts.
Shield & Arrow yeah there are always those kind of fans, you should have a look on tumblr when they announced that alyciah is coming back, a lot of Clexa fans were so bitchy towards bellarke fans, which I don't get. We all love the same show and romance is not the most important thing haha but there will always be fans who are nice and some crazy ones hahah

What i absolutely love about this show is that they dont label sexuality. Like, Clarke was open to both sexes and there was not need to label what she was feeling towards Lexa. I just think that it is possible to fall in love with anyone and the fact that the show supports this idea makes it really beautiful.

I'm a Clexa shipper but I definitely understand why Bellarke fans are pissed at JR. He HAS "literally shut that question down" before, like he got up from an interview when they started asking about it. And I love how Bob called him out on that.

They did multiple interviews that same day. In the other interviews Ricky, Marie and Bob were together and it's hilarious at how they behave. It's fun when Bob, Ricky, Marie, Lindsey and even Isaiah are put together but I have notice it depends with who she sits next to.

RomiVidal maybe you're reading too much into it. People are so used to women and men being in romantic relationships that when they see two people of opposite genders caring about each other they automatically believe they're in love when in reality caring doesn't have to be romantic
Xerkonias Adisa Yeah, I mean, I can see the potential. I watched the show from the start with no knowledge of book's or the show's fandoms, and the thought of Bellarke didn't even cross my mind until the last 2 eps of S2. I started seeing the potential then. I don't think the show puts too much emphasis of that aspect, but the potential is definitely there. The character also have a bond and alliance that goes beyond any romantic inclinations, so I think it's great that the show isn't rushing there. If they ever decide to explore it, I feel the foundation is there.
moodylupin I don't see it romantically, never did. I just think people love to ship anything heterosexual even if the characters don't necessarily have that type of connection/chemistry. The writers/cast seem to agree so i doubt it will ever go there
Xerkonias Adisa I read your previous comment. I get were you are coming from. I don't see it romantically either, not at this moment, but I see the potential of it happening along the way... The kindredship between those two character that works in dual context, currently platonic, yes, but that could also serve as excellent foundation IF the show ever decide to explore that.
As a storyteller, you plant seeds. Some may grow, some don't. No show would ever tell you explicitly where they are going because they let the story run its own course. What I mean is, just like you think others may be "reading too much into it", maybe you (and many others) are reading too little. We won't know until the full story is told. As of right now, it's being played ambiguously enough for both perspective to be valid. No one is making their opinion up.
I'm not a "romantic" bellarke fan but I think it's kinda crappy that Jason knows he's most likely not gonna put it into the show but continues to say "you never know" because he wants people to keep watching. Just tell it like it is and if people get upset so what? No need to pander to everyone, no matter what you do someone won't be happy
He has to say that because it could happen in that hypothetical "we could grow wings one day... Scientifically speaking it's possible but unlikely" haha but yeah it's also good that he going away from the obvious narrative of girl falls for guy who was previously an antagonist blah story

Hunter Reed I believe I saw someone say that they are not going to be following many things that the book has. Meaning that there is a likely chance of Bellarke NOT going canon.

just because it happened in the book doesn't mean it'll happen in the show, i'm sure there are many things that happened in the book that didn't happen in the show. The creator of the show obviously doesn't like the relationship romantically and hes the one who has the last say. The book and the show are two separate bodies of work

Totally agree but I think the only reason he says that is because he probably doesn't plan on doing it in season 3 and obviously he doesn't know if there is going to be a season 4 or what might happen until then. Tbh I am a bellarke fan but even before I were, at the beginning of the show, even when Clarke was messing around with Finn I remember thinking that there were a lot of hints that that she might be with Bellamy at some point, and honestly the hints never stopped. I can understand it when he says you never know and I believe that he actually isn't sure if he is going to do it or not. But looking back to other tv shows, that's usually how it works: begin the show and see how things go, when there's a ship going on, torture the fans for a few seasons and after sometime give them what they want. And as Eliza always says about it: that's what makes good tv. So yeah we'll never know until it actually happens lol :p To be realistic, I don't see it happening soon, not this season anyway.

+Katie Smith Honestly I don't think it's going to happen. They're probably not really allowed to completely shut it down, but they've made it pretty clear they're not for it at all. Which if you ask me is kind of good, sure they may have chemistry but putting the two leads together would drag the show right back down to season 1's blatant cw-ness. It finally managed to pull itself out of that, and it really can't afford to go back.

It's interesting that Alycia Debnam Carey was rarely available to do promos with the cast due to her obligations with Fear of the Walking Dead, yet her character Lexa still remained one of the most popular if not the most popular and iconic of the show. It's hard to maintain character buzz without the actor promoting at events yet Lexa always had it and is still talked about years after her death and after the show ended. It's interesting, and a testament to how compelling the character is, and of course the portrayal. Not many female characters on TV are so unique, complex and beautifully realized in such little screen time relative to the rest of show, and then make such an impact on audiences.
