Great video. I'm kitchen table GLC but it's really neat to see some of these cards and options for upgrades playing with my son. One thing that I've found to be true is that this format is incredibly brain-testing; each card is unique so there's a wild set of snaking lines from both players that make it hard to really figure out the correct play. Games like this one where it's all in the balance for each turn are some of my favorite experiences in gaming.
What a great game, but I was depressed when he used Hex Maniac instead of Guzma right at the end. Maybe if he had gotten Rillaboom into the active he could have spread damage once more, then next Turn Hex + Regieleki or Electivire to close the game. Well played to both, and thank you for bringing us this match.
Knowing the outcome I expected this to be Grass dominating while Lightning failed to get it pieces or something. Watching a game with Ben on the back foot for most of the first 20 minutes instead had me questioning if I had misremembered the outcome lol
What an incredible match! Alex was playing all his spots so well, and Ben showed amazing resilience. Well done lads!
Loving the commentary; These weekly GLC finals videos are great! Hope we get to see more.

That's the best part of this format! Keep cookin those decks. Endless fun from running and mastering your deck of choice. Thanks for watching!
Feel like lightning threw towards the end.

I've played Alex's Lightning Spread deck, like, 30+ times and he's still finding lines I've never thought of. What a monster.
13:57 Alex could also Field blow the Zapdos U-Turn Board?

Man if he hadn't lost that easy prize at the very start this could have been a way different game
