GET AWAY FROM THE PERSON "TEACHING YOU" She is using a hackamore, not a bitless, you are a beginner, that is normally 5 pounds on THE NOSE, THE MOST SENSITIVE part on they're face. And they only have so much bone and then it stops

Brushing off the horse isn’t a nice little back rub. It’s very important to brush off to ur horse before putting the saddle on because sharp things could get under the pad and saddle and is very uncomfortable for your horse.
* No Hate * Tip. When you mount the horse grab the Saddle horn and the mane. When you use just the saddle when mounting you put a lot of pressure on their withers. If you grab the mane as well then it takes less pressure off of them. And the horses can no pain nerves in their mane so it does not hurt them when you pull

For future times when going out to get the horse put the top over the horses beck and then put the bridle on so that if the horse tries to run away you can just grab both sides of the top with both hands and it works as a lead until you get the bridle on 😊

Number one you really didn’t put on the holster conformal for the horse that is why you where struggling. And two since you are learning on how to ride I am sure that you need to have a helmet on but yet it’s my opinion but also try to hop on the horse slowly and not hard but this is my opinion

Again NO HATE you sat way to hard on her back please be careful with that. I went to a trainer that was not teaching me correctly and now I am having to relearn everything the correct way and it’s taking longer than it should because of all the bad habits I picked up since I was 16 I’m 25 now.

I wouldn’t recommend cantering until you’ve done around a month of weekly/daily lessons. You can’t start by galloping if you want to be safe and want to keep the horse safe. But it’s not all your fault, as your friend also apparently has a lot to learn.
