    You just confirmed for me that there is space for both of them in my bag.
    I just got my hands on the mothman and was out throwing them on a course today.
    And a Total Eclipse Hex + Mothman is just a great combo-mid workhorse

    The ppls Hex is a Fission in lighter weight. Ppl dont mess around with weights enough. My sweet spot for weights is about 172. When I want a "Detour" but prefer the feel of the Hex. I got for Fission plastic at about 164. It will turn, (with some fight back) and "season" faster.

    I know this isn’t a form video but couldn’t help but notice how smooth these throws are. In particular the disc kind of slots into the line at the back of the reach back and then sticks to the line of play like glue all the way to release. Really jealous of these super accurate throws - any tips on how to do this consistently?

    There's no comparison between the two. The Lizottl is the best neutral mid in all winds and you can crank on it like a high speed driver. The glow Detour is the turning or hyzer flip complement. I've gotten 384 with the Lizottl and 390 with the glow Hex. There's not much difference other than the line I want

    Great video, good to see someone giving serious effort to invest in their channel and content. I think that Hex in Neutron is quite a bit more neutral. Eclipse tends to make everything more overstable than Neutron. But one thing that helps for me, is now I know that if I want a Detour that doesn't turn over every shot, then an Eclipse Detour is the one I need to bag. So with that, I'm going to use your link and head over to DGDUSA. Thanks again.

    Cool video! I'm a huge fan of MVP/axiom's midrange lineup. I'm not sure what your objective was with this video - like you pointed out, the eclipse hex's are definitely a tick more stable than a neutron hex. I think it would have been more interesting, for the sake of comparison, to make a video comparing the detour to the neutron hex, or even to a fission hex - which are typically a bit more understable and may have made a better comparator. I don't think simon even throws lizzotle's/eclipse hexes. Obviously I know you don't have access to unlimited discs.

    Never thrown a lizzotl hex but I have thrown fission/prism proton/eclipse glow Hex, the fission is considerably less stable and the prism proton/glow are very similar to eachother. I feel like calling the hex too much disc for people of equal or less arm speed than you is a mistake. Maybe the lizzotl hex, but the one's i listed above my wife can get about 250 out of and she's only been playing a few months. I think you’re throwing the wrong hex. The lizottle hex is definitely a bit more stable. Try a fission hex and you’ll get the flip up and carry you’re looking for. Comparing the two, my broken in fission hex (176g) has the same flip up and carry as my eclipse detour the difference being the hex will still have a little fade at the end whereas the eclipse detour has a flat/straight finish for me when thrown on a good amount of hyzer

    these discs shouldn't be compared honestly. they are nothing like each other. The detour is an low-arm speed endlessly flipping mid, the hex is a full power straight mid that never fades or flips.

    • @JTygerAU
      @JTygerAU 2 месяца назад

      This comment describes it perfectly. You can throw a hex if you don’t have the power and get a useful flight but it’s not the use it’s designed for. Likewise flipper mids have a place at higher speeds but mostly just make the midrange flight accessible at slower speeds.
