To be honest I think the tapered spacer is much worse than the restrictor plate, because the restrictor plate makes for less lapped cars at the end of the race and makes the leader have to compete by a bigger margin than the tapered spacer would.

First off I am not a hater of KB, but I do think it's messed up that he will go into lower series races and just dominate them, he's a top level driver, it's unfair for the younger, newer drivers to have to compete against somebody as talented as him, how you gonna make a name for yourself when you have him taking all of the spotlight?
It's like putting Lebron James on a college team or something.
Mickey Love Jeff Gordon has said in interviews that if it wasn’t for having to race against and beat the cup drivers in the lower series, no one would have paid any attention to him. They limit the number of races a cup driver can run in trucks and Xfinity but I don’t agree that they should be banned. If we don’t let some cup drivers in now and then, we don’t really see just how talented these young guns are a lot of times. If that were the case there would be a lot of talent that never gets the chance to move up. It also helps teach the young guys as well. They learn how to drive around the big names, and learn from them first hand by racing them.
He is far from the first driver to do that. I'd say it's actually really good for the younger drivers. They will have to beat the best if they ever want to be the best. In fact I've heard Xfinity drivers say they like it when the big names race like that. Helps them get better.
