Many clips end long before the drones are close enough to their target, shortly after you see the video snow of the electronic counter measures. This leads to the conclusion that those counter measures are getting better and better and prevent the Russians from many direct hits. Since those anti-drone weapons work in sending out powerful signals to jam the drones' video signal, I would recommend developing sensors for drones that can exactly locate the source of those jamming signals and make the drone home in on it as soon as the video link is lost, if the pilot choses so.
They have drones that use AI to scan the surrounding area and can still hit the target when the picture goes. But a device that homes in on the jamming signal would do the job nicely.....

You know, I just got back from holiday where I met a young Russian family. 5 year old daughter, mid 30s parents. The man spoke English. I'm English. He asked me what does our news say about the Russia/Ukraine situation. I told him what bbc news reports, Russia to blame. Well, Putin to blame. I asked what is the general opinion of Putin in Russia. This guy lived near the black sea area. He said before putin the country was poor, things were bad and corruption rife. He said since putin the country has improved massuvely for most people and whilst corruption is still prevalent, it is less than before. This guy likes Putin and said the majority of people do since he's improved their lives. The guy also blamed America partially for the war. Talking to this guy made me shift my perspective, a little. First of all, I used to see these videos and think Russian soldiers dead, good. Now, I feel sad for the loss of life, on both sides. I'm sure many people are conscripted to this war. It's a truly sad situation, and hopefully, it will end soon. I still believe the Russian State are to blame, but I now see the Russian people as victims, too.

A public Russian is a completely different person to a private. Some of what he said is true but if you ever visited in the 90's you would have seen it full of gangsters. All that Russia was asking for was that Ukraine remain neutral in the same way that America threatened war when the Soviet Union was putting missiles on Cuba.
You may say Nato is purely defensive but they have a nuclear sharing strategy where each member is pressured into hosting nuclear weapons. And who is the stated enemy of Nato that these missiles are aimed at? The latest Nato world situation summary that I read last year now also names China as an enemy to be confronted.
Whilst Russia provided Europe with energy and China provides manufactured goods the military men at Nato declare them enemies that must be defeated.

It is working well for Ukraine. With a 5:1 dead ratio on the offensive, Russia can only go so far with its advances. Russia fights for temporary advantages, while Ukraine is much more strategic in conserving its troops. Russia is not going to win, no matter how hard it tries.

Every month, the US President gets about $300M in appropriations for emergency military usage. He used the March appropriation to buy/send ATACMS missiles to Ukraine, which they promptly used.
