Hi everyone, I know this isn't the content I normally make so if this video isn't of interest to you, don't worry; I'll be back to posting guitar and sitar videos soon.
Why nearly all with bling belts in my gym have a problem with constant un-tying when my soft cheap fuji one hasn`t untie itself even once? We use the same tie btw.
How is that Eosin belt holding up training at blue belt level? Still training? Getting close to purple belt? Would you buy Eosin again when you get your purple belt?
Belt is awesome! The Pandemic put a big pause on my training so I lost time on the mat; I'm still a blue. The belt hasn't really faded much, only at the contact points where it gets tied and it's pretty slight. I still don't have any serious fraying. My BIG recommendation is to add additional length to make it longer than you think. I gained weight when I paused training so the belt started to feel short and hard to tie if I didn't do it just right. It's pretty stiff so it can be nice and clean looking once tied, but with that stiffness and my fat gut I wish I had made it longer! I will definitely order from Eosin again when I move to purple. To be honest, I've considered ordering another longer Blue belt to use now. If you do order from them please let them know you watched this video. They have been a wonderful company and they gave me a free belt during the pandemic that I gifted to one of my close training partners who sadly lost family during covid.
Man, thank you. You made me feel a lot better, and feel like I'm not alone. It took me 3 years to get my blue and I feel exactly like you describe. I'm not real good. I dont suck, but I often dont feel like a blue belt. I got a nice belt for myself also because I too will probably be wearing it a while until I get purple if it happens at all. I want purple, and I'm not going to quit, but like you said, life happens. I'm mainly in it for the skills anyways. The belt only covers 2 inches of your ass. You gotta cover the rest. Lol
Congratulations on your blue belt! The funny thing is that I wanted mine for so long and the moment I got promoted I also knew how meaningless the new belt was. ...But in a good way! Good luck on your journey in BJJ. Cheers!
@@JeffStarr I definitely wasn’t expecting a quick reply thanks! it definitely looks sharp in comparison to the others you showed maybe you should do an update video
Belt has held up amazing. No major shrinking and no shredding of the fabric. It shrunk a little when I first washed it but that was it. I do wish I had ordered mine a little longer, but that's only because I have gained weight. Ha ha!
Thank you brother!! Crazy thing my name is Jeff Estrella 🫡 can’t wait to finally earned my blue belt. No rush… it’s better to learn properly than to just have a belt and still act like the las one.
Thanks for the question. I feel like the turn around time was really fast. There was a slight delay because they wanted to confirm I wanted blue and blue stitching but once that was resolved I got the belt right away. Whole process was maybe 2 weeks.
Well!! its a nice surprise to see BJJ practitioners/Guitar Players. I perfectly understand the feeling of earning your ranks, you work hard, I mean, very hard!. I'm still new in BJJ, white belt one stripe, I've been 9 months, and I train 3 to 4 times a week, I also train Muay Thai, but I have a question, how you take care of your fingers?, its scary for me when I'm sore and it feels like it can hurt my playing, so far I'm taping them or using a grapz (glove-like) seems to work, but still, how you take care of your hands?
Great question. I used to tape to protect my joints but I eventually stopped doing that, mostly because I’m lazy. But I did have a moment when I really focused on grip fighting and when to even bother fighting to keep a grip verses when to let go and move on. This changed my game a lot and made it a lot better and more fluid. It also made my hands less worn down at the end of training. I’ve also found that if I have a grip for a technique and it’s hurting my hands that it means I am doing it wrong. This happened just the other day where a sweep was causing the opponents gi to pinch my fingers. I realized I was pulling when I needed to be pushing.
I ordered 110 inch belt. After being washed and dried several times it's measuring 106 inches. I never measured the belt when it arrived to check if it was a true 110 inches, but about 5% shrinkage is what I had expected.
@@Keeps- I would love too. I don’t recall the specifics anymore but it was the deluxe BJJ belt, 2 inches wide and I think I got it “soft” vs the extra stiff option.
Eosin Panther shipped your belt FAST?! I ordered mine a month ago and found out they will not even SHIP it for three weeks. I don't care about the quality at this point, I'm just thinking about the One month gym fees that I lost because I couldn't attend classes. IF! I ever get this belt, I will never buy from them again. Buyer Beware....
Why are you missing training at your gym? Don’t you have a second belt you can use in the meantime? What color belt did you order? For a custom item like this that is made to order, I think it’s fair that there is a lead time before it ships.
@@JeffStarr My new gym requires full Gi to be worn. I am a new-comer to this gym so they require this in the beginning. They used to give belts to new guys, but covid restraints forced them to require their students to obtain their own. (I know this is stupid, but its the local restrictions. They have to comply) I ordered a custom tailored Gi, and about 500 dollars worth of gear to get me started to include the Eosin belt... I ordered the belt LAST. I have since recieved all of my order to include the tailored Origin Gi. I also ordered some medicine from china.... it has also come in. And the belt hasnt even been shipped. I emailed them and just told them not to ship it and keep the money. I pride myself in purchasing the highest quality items no matter where they are in the world. I have NEVER had to wait for an item this long. The belt was NOT custom in any way. Just a standard belt, that was shown to be 'In-Stock'. This is why I have a strong distaste for this company. I'm glad you and others have had a good experience with this company, and I'm sure the quality is great. But this was absolutely not my experince. Nothing against you or your vid for real.

I love that idea, getting the time it took to get the belt embroidered.
Great close up review, mate.
Thank you for watching! I hope the review was helpful.
Keep up the good work. Don’t Quit
Congrats on putting in the work to earn that blue belt over that period of time. Never give up!
Way to stick with it brother! Congrats on earning your blue belt+

Never give up! Dude, you're awesome!
Thanks. The current pandemic has put a real damper on training. I hope BJJ schools rebound and people can get back to training like before.
@@JeffStarr Well... Not everywhere actually ;-)) Both of my schools are opened since July. Greetings from Russia!
I gave them a shot, finally...)) Ordered a blue deluxe. They gave me 10% dc.

GREAT video! it’s been 3 years now how’s that belt treating you? did you get a stripe added to it?
Belt has held up extremely well. I do wish I had ordered it a little longer as I gained some weight and now it’s a bit shorter than I like.

What length did you get, do they run small or big? I about to get my blue and I am going to go with Eosin Panther, Thanks for the advice!
ForeverYoungBJJ you custom order the length on their website, so measure your current belt and adjust size as needed.

What’s the details/specs on your belt ? Still training ?
Covid put a huge halt on training. I really miss it.

I would say that the color you see in the video is fairly accurate. It’s more of a rich navy or royal blue. It’s not a light blue.
