- As you guys know, my new foster dog Jazz has come to live with me. In this video, I share the process that I went through to prepare for her arrival! I go over the steps before she arrived, and in the first week of her being here.
I hope you find value in this!
Thanks for watching :)

I have fostered a lot of puppy and 2 are coming tomorrow and this video is great for anyone stared to foster
I'm watching this on the same date, but different year! 2020!
You need more subs! You’re videos are always so helpful and informative. They have helped me so much! Thanks for helping out all these shelter pets. You are an amazing person :)
You just earned her a sub
I'll be fostering beginning tomoy. Thanks for the tips.
ur dogs r adorable!!!! i'm going to be fostering during covid-19 and this is rly helpful! thx! :)
Its something I would like to do, but I would probably get too upset to see them leave. Great videos, mate!
I'm starting tomorrow :) thanks for the video.
Very helpful. Thank you.
GREAT ADVICE! 😁
Hey!
I like your videos a lot, they're so helpful! I'm getting my first ever foster on Sunday and I'm so nervous/excited/worried/happy!
I am gonna be a young 13yr old foster girl, YAYYYYY! This was so helpful, you deserve way more than this
This was very very helpful! Thank you so much! You’ve got a new subscriber 🤗
Thanks!
First, thank you for this very helpful video. I recently signed up with my local ASPCA to foster a dog and I've been doing a lot of research.
However, the old "alpha wolf" idea is actually false (based on an old book that the author actually recanted on after more research). Wolves operate like families, not a strict hierarchy. This goes a lot farther in explaining dogs' relationships with humans, as they so easily and happily become another member of our (mostly) human families.
Hey!! Love this video I was wondering by fostering if you get community service hours (I’m under 18 and need them for school) if so how many. Thanks!!
I’d like to know as well cause I need them
it depends on the company. the one i’m going to foster for now does it give service hours but it doesn’t really matter to me, i’m still doing it. i’ll get my hours elsewhere
I’m fostering in about a month! In COVID-19. Very helpful! 😀☆
That is SO EXCITED! I hope it goes well for you! Send me a message if you need any advice
i’m fostering in a couple months after my training i can’t wait
I'm in middle school and want to foster a dog so badly but my parents won't let me; not only is my dad a clean-freak, but they don't trust me with taking care of an animal.
That can be very difficult! When you're old enough to live on your own you can be the ultimate dog person and have a ton at your house :) You could also find ways now to show them that you're responsible enough to take care of a dog
I want to foster a dog, but I cant.... ;(
Why
MoonStar why, your parents?
@@toffi5710 not necessarily, we have a dog and she doesnt get along well with other dogs...
What if they gie you the things you need like toys pay vet bills and food. But what if you need more toys and food. Is it like a one time pay thing then you buy everything else or will you always get the things from the company
I want to foster a dog and my parents have agreed but I’m scared my house is to messy for it.
hey! my parents are debating whether to foster a dog since many dogs are not getting fostered but do most dogs scratch couches etc
angel kids hey! Good question. Most dogs won’t scratch a couch in the same way that a cat would. The only way a dog might scratch the couch is if they jump up onto it and their nails scratch it accidentally. That being said, if you never allow them into the couch then this wouldn’t be an issue (some dogs will be sneaky and try to get up when you’re not there, you can put things onto the couch to block them and make sure they don’t jump up)
Bet thanks bruh
I have a female and a male dog, and I'm planning to foster another dog. I heard that same sex dogs fight, I wanted to know if I should get a female or male, or if I should not foster at all?
If your dogs get along with both male and female dogs then it will be fine. One doesn’t get along with the same gender foster the opposite. And introduce them separately
@@jotdsdlulu8566 Thank you so much, I'll do that.
wolves don't have alphas. the alpha myth has been so harmful to our domesticated wolves. but also please don't refer to dogs as "it." I prefer to use their pronouns, or "they," "them" if gender is unknown (for any animal, including insects).
