You could always put a nut and bolt through it in the right place to limit any movement (lock tite the nut). if it slows someone down then that the best you can expect, that said it would be noisey to remove it.
You installed thing wrong too. You're supposed to put it at the top as high as you can go so someone cannot move it (and so it creates a tight grip around the pedal lever arm). Yes I agree they aren't the best, but you could theoretically buy a second one and use both locks to surround the pedal arm.
Put the key side the other way round so it’s harder to drill the lock..the weakness is pedals can be unbolted but it does add another layer of defence…I’d stick with the clutch & just fit the lock higher as the handbrake can still be used & the car driven away to somewhere quieter to then cut the lock or unbolt the pedal. Either way this is another layer of defence
Richard Miller Hi, I use a Chinese yale centre lock for my little hot hatch, works grate yale ones are much better, I found a few design faults that could be modified on a later date, but yale ones are much better. Easy Acess easy to store Don't buy the the ones with circle locks I will put a video up this week for you stating why pros and cons thanks for the comment
On some reviews of this brake lock, on Amazon and ebay, they say the lock can jam, and they cannot open it with the key - have you had any trouble like that ?
i wouldnt use that. if some one pinches your car and has an accident then you will be liable. i think its ok if you display a sign warning of the brake lock. but if your gonna do that. might aswel stick some hidden nails on the seat ( i think its ok if that sign is placed by the ign switch )
Ade LOL haha its fitted on a new/old project that i will release on here in a few months time. (In a field) drained the tank its not going any where. It was fitted to slow any one down.
@@MRVW-32 I used the padlock as a jam behind my brake pedal. It acts like a doorstop. You should try that and make a new video showing if it works or not. I came across your video because I am looking for an alarm system.
Unfortunately your wrong it's different in vehicles in the land rover its useless in the car is okay. But not enough room on the tool to get padlock in the next holes...
To beat the angle grinder issue and buy more time, get two locks. Put one on the top as well

Yes but it didn't have enough room to put the paddock in the next hole! So I had not fitted incorrectly!
@@MRVW-32 should of put the padlock the other way round
Not the case at all!!! There wasn't enough leverage to get it to the next hole!!!
@@MRVW-32 Need to work out on those forearms then lol. Loads of took to push that down more and get it tighter
Why would I force it too fit on the car ? It's bad enough one of these shitty square paddlocks are stuck on my defender lol.

Better than nothing half of these people will not come prepared for a challenge like this !!
Can you lock the brake pedal and accelerator together side-by-side?
Yes
If tight as much to opposite direction so that could harm our car clutch padel system ?
I believe that you may be right
@@MRVW-32 I am asking .. whats your experience about it ?

@@MRVW-32 ok .. so I will try for mine car definitely

Thank you. A good video. Helps me choose which to purchase. I don't think it will be this one. For my daughter, has to be easier to use.

Not great hum?
Have you tried do flip it upside?
M Cunha yes it's in the land rover at the moment
HI Mcunha... i wouldn't bother buying this device .... if someone wants your car or 4x4 they will take it.
does this thing work with newer cars? is it adjustable ? (2022-2023 )
I will do a test video and find out for you. Subscribe and look out for a video
Now stuck with that lock for 2 hours. Still can not open.
Hack saw the top off
why not in the clutch?? its the same as the break, if the padlock is there the pedal wont go down
READ THE COMMENTS AS STATED FOE THE MILLIONTH TIME THE PEDLE BOX WAS TOO THICK FOR THE THIS DEVISE TO FIT AROUND
Dont but this literally under mu steering wheel sawing it off cause key cylindar is broken and wont unlock
Had the same issue with a defender plate lock
lol, thieves gonna use handbrrake
I disconected my handbrake for that reason
Most cars don’t have handbrakes anymore. Some have the ones you push with your foot or have electric brakes.
Id love to see a thief try to drive with a handbrake only its not going to happen
Yeah its possible if you own a older a car of you own a new car it wont be possible
@@zdravkomomci7570 Been doing "J" turns with my hand brake.
Nahhh... I just take all the pedals with me everytime...
Haha that's best comment I've heard so far haha
🤣
The theifs will be shocked
you put it wrong it should be on clutch pedal on manual cars and when putting the lock you leave to much space
Hi yes but look at the thickness of the pedal and some cars this item doesn't fit on. If you cant get it on clutch or brake put it on the throttle.
@@MRVW-32 good idea
what of hand brake
Hi Prince oryema what do you mean ?
I think v simple solution to this is to use another lock(padlock) on other hole to restrict movement
Why not on clutch?
The arm of the pedal is too wide for the device
you're doing it wrong. it needs to be in the uppermost hole.
No if you look carefully and listen to what I say it doesn't have enough play in the pedal to fit in the top hole
Bent it open at the bottom with a small crow bar or peace of iron rod and then it is useless
I know there crap it didn't take long to. Get through with a hack sack lol 😂
Really whos going to go around a shopping carparks with a crowbar cos they know you got a brakelock on your car at 10.45am on a certain day really!!
Hack saw not a crow bar
unfortunately, you have to buy another one. Not this

Ade. how the fuck would you be liable for someone criminally stealing your car. If they do anything in it more charges for them.

There's no room to fit the paddock else where!
