- The Alien Romulus Trailer is Here, and the Facehugger is all over it. We also got a look at one in a photo from the director on Alien day, so lets see what we can find out about the Facehuggers of Romulus and any changes that were done with them. Spoilers

They really understand the creepy potential of the Facehuggers and maximised it. To me the facehuggers are the ONLY part of the xenomorph lifecycle that really creeps me out. And it seems to be a heavy focus in this film compared to previous ones (they were barely in the later films).

Jockeys made them not David. David made an imperfect copy. In Covenant the novel, David found a fossilized egg.
I know david only made the praetomorph, not the xenomorph, but he did make an egg from parts and goo, with what he learned from the engineers in the film. The novel is another canon per se, I did read it though about the egg david found. Its just an example of making an ovomorph without eggmorphing or a queen.
jockeys didn't make them. They found them on their home planet (or possibly another planet that they somehow came to be on) and utilized them as a planet clearing bio-weapon. Also, the engineers are not the jockeys, not sure if you were implying that. Two totally different things.

Everyone in the bloody community through out the 90s I spoke to as a kid said the Jockeys made them even Chris Diaz who made the Alien: F U Z I O N RPG game on the former website serenadawnspaceport (looong before the retcon rpg we have now) said the Jockeys made the xenomorphs. They create species to serve them.
@@charlespancamo9771of COURSE Jockeys aren't Engineers. Engineers are their slaves who revolted. Sorry dude, almost everyone I know of has said that the Jockeys created the Xenomorphs. I'm libel to agree. Their trope in fiction is incredibly ancient advanced aliens that were so sophisticated in genetic technology, they created life. The Engineers can only pervert and meddle.

My idea for an alien tv-series is as follows: It takes place just before the events in the first alien movie and happens on a planet near where the nostromo spaceship
is shipping ore.
Weyland-Yutani is on the planet and have terraformed it for years,when they discovers a cave with lots of xenomorph eggs.
One of them get's infected and a xenomorph is born. It turns out to be a queen,and a lot of the Weyland-Yutani humans are infected and then
a war breaks out.
All the humans on the planet are wiped out and only a few manage to escape in a spaceship.Then they nuke the planet from orbit.
Then Weyland-Yutani regrets the decision and a hunt for the xenomorph begins.They get a tip that there's a crashed spaceship on lv426 and sends
the robot Ash on the Nostromo spaceship.
But they are informed that the mission has failed and that Nostromo has gone missing.Then Weyland-Yutani get's
a tip about an xenomorph on Fiorina161 and sends a team of researchers there.They finds a surviving prisoner that is impreagnated and a queen is born.
Weyland-Yutani then wants to use the xenomorphs on the planets where the engineers are located because they want the technology to seed planets with life.
They also want the elixir that provides humans with prolongued life.After they have managed to give birth to a flock of xenomorphs,they drops them
on an engineer planet and causes everyone of them to die.
Then they get hold of the blue elixir that gives
prolongued life.But several ships with engineers that where away from their planet when Weyland-Yutani wiped the
population out,pursue them and manages to get the elixir back,but gets trapped on the planet where both parties
crash.Then a battle takes place and the crew from Weyland-Yutani gets the elixir that gives them prolongued life
for thousands of years,but they are now trapped on the planet,with no means to get anywhere.But then
they see a light aproaching,but is the spaceship friends or foes ?
It turns out it is the engineers and after a battle they gets hold off the blue elixir once again,and that
gives the cliffhanger for a second season that we must wait several years to see???
That is freaking terrifying! And I love it!

According to rumours from the script writers,Neill Blomkamp movie was about the Sulaco ship
drifting in space after the emergencypods were released.On the ship there were a xenomorph
hidden in the lower basement of the spaceship.After fifty years they are detected by another
ship bringing colonists to a new terraformed planet for humans.They send in two robots to
investigate.They find traces of dna in the ships database,and clones Hicks,Ripley and Newt.
But as clones they don't remember anything of the events that took place in the alien3 movie.
When they arrive at the colonists destinyplanet,the xenomorph starts to lay eggs.
Then all humans on the planets are attacked and a war breaks out.Ripley,Hicks and Newt manages to
escape in a spaceship they find in a cave. It is a engineer spaceship that takes them to the
engineers homeplanet called"Paradise".But when they have left the spaceship,a deacon crawls out
and makes a cliffhanger for a followup movie 😀

The problem with any additions to a franchise is that there is always a desire for directors to use the most up to date technology to reflect their vision even if is anachronistic - look at how advanced the ships and tech were in Prometheus / Covenant and then look at the Nostromo. Similarly, look at the ships and tech in Star Trek Discovery and then look at the Original Series. Star Wars is just the same.
The ship in Prometheus was built for Mr. Peter Weyland, the richest man on Earth ( yes the Weyland Yutani Weyland ), and was supposed to cost over a trillion dollars. So that's why it looked like it did. In Covenant the ship was built to hold 1,000 couples in stasis, who were going to breed a new civilization on their new planet. So it was a brand new ship and would have used the latest technology. Where the Nostromo was like an old Space tugboat that was probably 60 years old and used every day for industrial projects. So it would resemble 60 year old military gear that is still being used because it works and is dirt cheap to run. No Billionaires or Trillionaires on the Nostromo.

I agree with the previous comment re: the ships that supposedly pre-date a movie installment, having a more futuristic look and superior tech to supposedly later built ships.
Movies of the 70s and 80s, the ships were very analog and LED heavy, hight tech looking at time of shooting. Now we are full on digital, OLED dashboards and HUDS, this reflects on today's productions. I'd like to see some element of being faithful to the originals and not messing with the sci-fi tech timelines.

Camera removed the clear plastic dome from the first alien and ruined it. Looks like romulus will do the same.🤔
Wild guess, but I think that brutal mess we see in that cryo bed is the result of someone trying to pull a facehugger off and having the barbed tips tear off his or her face.

It looks like the glass in the door was already weakened and fractured, and simply shattered when the facehuggers jumped at it. In fact it looks like the bottom part is already missing, leaving a hole for them to jump through.
