- The Challenge 39 is FINALLY HERE! 24 contestants try to make their mark on MTV's The Challenge as they all try to become a The Challenge Champion! However another person's dream will not be fulfilled as they will be eliminated this week from the game. Who can make it through? Only one will end up victorious. But who? How will they navigate the second phase of the game: CHAOS? Will they ever win significant money from these daily challenges? Who will be playing in this week's eliminations? Jordan literally came in, gave Ciarrans a round, gave him a two point lead, then won that round, won the elimination, embarrassed Ciarran to the point of tears, took 10k from them, told Emanuel who his daddy was, and then ran off into the sunset. God this man is fun to watch
I loved the Jordan segment. He just schooled those losers.
Ciaran said there were 5 rounds. Not sure why the show continues to cut parts of the eliminations but Ciaran said he won the first two rounds, they made adjustments and then he lost the last 3 rounds.

Jordan just gave this season the MUCH needed boost of energy that it was missing 🔥🔥. From his confessionals, to the shout-out to Horacio, to the elimination, the advice he gave and his cheeky response to a competitor clearly looking for camera time was great!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

This could get messy. Now it seems more beneficial to send a strong player down into elimination every time to ensure they don't lose $10,000.
It also makes sense to have strong players go in so they lose and go home. More beneficial in the final. It’s somewhat be a win lose type of situation. I like it.
Youd think that but i feel like no matter what theyre gonna end with a final prize pot of 500k. Kinda like with the red skulls years ago. They still all made the final even though TJ made it seem like people wouldn’t have time to get skulls

Jordan put on an absolute clinic, I feel so bad for Ciarran, he truly had no chance. Also, Emmanuel throwing shade when he has accomplished peanuts compared to Jordan was laughable. I'm not a huge Jordan fan but come on now, he is arguably one of the best competitors to ever do it.

I definitely think Michele and everyone else overthought the elimination being pairs because TJ made it clear they were nominating a man and if the challenge was a team format or solo, the idea of it being a pair elimination wouldn’t have even crossed their minds. Amazing performance from Jordan as always I wonder what the mystery pole is, maybe the mercenary will choose who they want to face 🤷🏾♂️

Too bad Asaf wasn't chosen by Jordan. I really enjoyed Ciarran. He gave a lot to the challenge. Was loud, had a hook up with Raven than provided messy strategic decisions, some good confessionals, passion for the game. His reaction after elimination showed how much he wanted it. I was disappointed when they didn't chose him to do the World championship and was very excited to see him here. I hope he will be given another chance.

Emanuel turning his back on Jordan really made me mad. Even if you don't like Jordan he has earned the respect from anyone and everyone that steps foot on the Challenge. I wasn’t upset by it so much as I was bewildered and cringed out by his actions. As far as I know there is no rhyme or reason for Emanuel to be so disrespectful. Even if it was about “Tori” Emanuel has no right to act this foolish over a situation that had nothing to do with him. Jordan and Tori’s relationship is their business.

I'm glad the elimination was timed. It makes the competitors have to use more strategy than just running after certain amount of lights and Jordan just showed y he's reigning champ with his strategy
Exactly… it wasn’t just him wasting time. It was him ensuring he would still get a chance to get to the next button if it happened to light up on the other ramp.
I love watching Jordan in eliminations. He was the whole reason why I started watching the challenge. I watched him on real-world Portland and watched him on Rivals and been watching the challenge ever since!
Jordan’s strategy on that elimination was everythingggg. I don’t see it as him just running down the clock. If he’s on the blue side getting the button and Ciarran is in the sand between both sides then if the next light lights up on red then Ciarran is closer. So he was making Ciarran start from the same spot as him with the incentive being “you’re not getting this point but I’m in the lead and if you don’t come over here, times up and I win.” At first I thought it was mean but damn was it smart
It was brilliant strategy for the exact reason you mentioned. That and if the next light is on that side he's closer anyway. There was no winning at that point

This was a great episode but this elimination could've easily been manipulated by production. A crew member could have flipped the light switch twice in a row for certain colors depending on which wall Jordan decided to stand at.
Also, whoever wins the daily challenges going forward are gonna be put in a tough spot, to say a name for them to possibly not go into elimination is crazy 😂😂😂

I can't wait to watch the interview with Ciarran. From what I"m seeing from challengers on Twitter, the way they aired the elimination is not how it all actually went down. Hopefully you'll dive into details about that and get some clarity because the tweets have been kinda cryptic.
If I was Ciaran and I had Ravyn as my spy in the Challenge House I don't think I would be telling folks all the info she told me. That is Ciaran not understanding how to play the game, it's not all based on athletics.

Maybe someone has already said it, but there was a lot from the elimination cut out. They actually played 5 rounds but originally were going to do 3 I think. The reason Jordan stopped is because the refs were being inconsistent with resetting, there wasn't supposed to be wrestling. Jordan did a video explaining what happened. Including the fact that he did at least one round without shoes!

Loved this elimination. This was really everything production could have wanted with the mercenaries. And Jordan winning that elimination was so impressive especially against a competitor like Ciarran. Great reality tv 👏🏼

This elimination challenge has potential to be a classic. Can get physical. Definitely easy to understand, hard to master. I'd love to see this again and again to be honest.
Yeah, especially since they are turning all the hardcore elims into pillow fights, this is a good game to show a lot of different skills.
I’m glad the game is shifted but I do wonder what happens with the numbers if the players beat the champions. It’s unlikely but theoretically we could have 15+ people survive. It could be met with a purge. Also I wish last place was automatically in elimination.

Seems like they're throwing a bunch of layups in this season so they can save all the vets/champs/fan favorites for the big season 40.

For the elimination, I actually liked that it was timed because I enjoyed watching Jordan's strategy to preserve energy and to force Ciarran to be equal distance from the next light. The strategy element just showed why Jordan is a beast / Challenge champ.
Jordan is the goat imo. I have a brother who lost a limb and Jordan is honestly such a good role model to anyone with physical differences.
And Ciarran is one of the few from this season that should be brought back regularly. I liked him a lot. Ex-military and it shows, great attitude, great endurance and good team player.

I can't believe he doesn't have more subscribers. For some years I didn't know this show was still on and wasnt that impressed but Drew got me back invested into the game he explains things fairly.
Jordan had nothing to lose when he gave him 2 free points. If he loses then he can blame it on his shoulder. If he wins then the Legend of Jordan becomes even bigger. So, the Legend became bigger and i loved it
I enjoyed that beating too much 😂😂. This definitely added some excitement because I had started to fast forward through the episodes.
I hope one day jordan goes against Emmanuel because Emmanuel was really mad at Jordan and he should be taught a lesson

Honestly kinda feel bad for ciaran, he pretty much had almost no chance against Jordan. He didn’t even know who Jordan was. Jordan loves his mind games especially in eliminations (good example is the tug of war one against Josh, which was pretty much set for Josh since Jordan had a disadvantage) but honestly not many people can beat Jordan tbf he’s a beast. (Pretty obvious I love Jordan right?😂) sad for ciaran though, I actually liked him as a competitor hope he comes back

Asaf surprised me as the guys usually are much more accepting to being nominated. That was a meltdown.
He was blindsided. Corey chose him instead of dudes he actually isnt that close to. He may have only known him for two weeks but you know the others like that too so why him over James or emanuel

i think this was one of the better truck daily challenges in a while a lot of them i feel like have fell flat but i thought this one worked I also loved them showing the pairs get selected idk if it proved that it was random but i appreciated it it felt like free agents i would love for them to be selected randomly as captains and then draft their partners but this was a solid episode
Honestly would have preferred to see Asaf go against Jordan since I was enjoying Ciarran on the show, but it was amazing to see Jordan perform like he always does. One of the most efficient GOATs of the Challenge, and to think he entered the game later than other greats is truly something if you ask me. The daily challenge was interesting, and I'm glad Ravyn and Corey won, but idk what they were thinking with their choice. It would have definitely been funny to see James in such an endurance heavy elimination again with Melissa's commentary, LOL
I really think they are both playing both sides. They have some kind of agreement with the UK alliance bc they both know they’re not at the top of anyone’s list on the USA alliance. Although had they voted James that would’ve surely increased their popularity with the USA alliance and basically deaded the uk alliance.
I would not be surprised if that total prize money gets worked down back to $300,000.
Theres only 10 champs, 306k is the minimum, that being said id be shocked if like 3 or 4 dont lose(im kinda expecting ct, devin, brad and kaz to lose)

I think the elimination was good. No need to get to a “total” point score. This makes it more fair for say a “smaller” opponent. Allowing them to employ a strategy rather than just pushing and shoving till a certain score.
How can Ciaran NOT know who Jordan is? Especially if being a Challenge Champion is so important to him. Do some research.

Jordan is so right- when there are real vets and champs, it's a totally different game. Way more entertaining. This elimination was the best one yet but this season really falls short for me.. I am not rooting for anyone bc I am not attached to any of the competitors so it's not fun to watch. I don't even know some of their names. Some of them have never even watched the challenge before.. It sucks. I hope they neverr everr do a season like this ever again. 🤞🏻

But they should alwaysss have at least 5 or 6 people of original cast to keep the interest of their loyal old watchers.
I know a lot of people don't like Cory, but I'm actually fine with how he is being. Yes be is being messy, but that's what reality T.V is. We want messy, we want villains. He is causing drama. I hope he makes it far.

I’ve enjoyed the entire season so far! Loved the first phase and I like chaos. Definitely would like to see Cierran again. Jordan is the goat. I don’t think Corey chose wrong but he shouldn’t have befriended so many of the guys so early. Like you need to have varying degrees of relationships that way you’ll always have justification for someone to throw in. Like Asaf considered him a close ally which shouldn’t have been the case.
They still don't understand alliances. It's not an alliance if you switch between them.

I love that the mercenaries get to take from the challenger's pot. I'm excited to see how this affects who they vote down-I'm thinking they'll want to vote down stronger ppl who have a greater chance of protecting the pot. And of course those people will NOT want to go down. Zara should definitely be worried because she's considered a strong girl and doesn't have the numbers to protect her.
I wouldve said i hope one of those 3 poles is vets choice of someone in the stands but they were all dressed up so thats out the picture.

The crazy part is now so you send someone thats weak down there and lose 10 k or do you send the best down there and make it a 50 50 chance in coming back and losing no money
