RIP Griola
Yesterday was a terrible day for me, and I was sad most of the day because of the loss of Grioula, but I have to remember that there are so many videos that were very happy ones. Takis is making a huge difference for these dog, cat, goats, and birds and we see it in the animals. I have the highest regards for this man and his team who obviously work constantly caring for them. I love the video, and I'm glad you shared it, but with all the video's I've seen I know there is so much more to it! Thank you for loving these fur babies and being there for them. Sending love and hugs to all of you!

Amazing video! With every story of heartbreak there is a continued hope for a better future. I'm so happy that 112 animals were adopted! I hope that number doubles this year! RIP all those who crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Always loved. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

The shelter has come so far!! The first time I visited, the house was not yet built. And now, to see it, such an achievement! What an incredibly kind and selfless person Takis is. How lucky are all the residents, past, present, and future. Amazing!!! ❤❤❤❤
Yesterday I was in tears most of the day after waking to the news that Grioula had passed in her sleep, and that a FB friend had also passed from cancer.
I was doing ok today until I got to the end of this video!
I hate goodbyes, even though I know it comes to us all.
I honestly don't know how Takis does it. Such a remarkable man.
RIP beautiful Grioula, and all the other beautiful animals who have passed at the shelter 🥰🥰🥰

I am in tears for all the efforts done by Takis to save the abandoned and broken animals, the beautiful volunteers for giving their all helping out and giving so much love and care to the animals, for all the rescues done, the amazing adoptions, but also for all the beautiful dogs and cats who passed away, including the dearest Grioula, who I am sure she will have her own rememberance video. Gone but will never be forgotten. Thank for everything that all of you do for those souls who needs help the most. ❤
All those lives saved. All those lives lost. It’s heart braking each time a Dog dies but we take comfort knowing there last years were happy years. Thank you to everyone who helps and special thank you to Takis for having a heart made out of gold ❤

No matter how long or short their stay they knew someone loved and cared. Continued blessings on Taki's shelter and everyone who works or volunteers or donates.
You really do, do incredible work at your shelter. May they all find loving homes soon. Sending you all my love & support and whatever else you need to stay strong doing so much for so many. Many angels are now looking over & protecting the shelter. And just know I too (even though I never actually knew her) am grieving for sweet Grioula. I'm glad she died so peaceful & that sweet Grioulaki is doing ok now that her mom has left us. 💓💓

I was curious about the name Grioula - and saw this explanation online >>>>>>.............. ; Grioula" appears to be a relatively uncommon name, likely of Greek origin, with potential connections to the word "grioulo" which can translate to "starlight" or "sparkle" in certain Greek dialects; essentially signifying a bright, shining quality associated with the name bearer.
If its true - how appropriate I say. because she was a little piece of starlight in the shelter. RIP sweet Grioula... BLESS U

A wonderful video. And loads of Respect for you and the team of volunteers for the great work you are doing! Just one observation from the numbers: you have taken in almost double amount of dogs and cats that have been adopted. So you started 2025 with many more animals than in 2024. How can that be sustainable? It looks like you have the space, but the financial impact must be huge (this is by the way a struggle for rescuers all over europe). Are the efforts to stop or at least reduce the inflow showing effect?
