So I did a little investigating and it is a 1941 Ford that apparently was originally pushed off the cliff above, had a huge rock fall on it, and was used for target practice. Can't figure out the year it ended up there.
Great video. You sure do know a lot about the local ecology. Have you ever done any hikes on or near the PCT? My bucket list hike is to one day visit the high Sierra Nevada mountains and hike on the JMT.
Thanks! Yes I am familiar with the southern California sections of the PCT. It starts in a very isolated landscape near the Mexican border (I've been there) heads north along several mountain ranges and then drops into the desert for a bit before going into the Sierra Nevada. Tough hike, but lots of people manage it and its got incredible scenery.
