Yeah, definitely way closer than a lot of "breakcore" playlists, just missing some more interesting drum nonsense and a good gabber kick. Not saying those playlists are bad, by the way. But 99% of them are *not* breakcore :(
@@Nailbat.Aubrey you have to be joking, this is even further from any of the music from those "breakcore" playlists. im not trying to gatekeep either but seriously people do NOT research the genre enough to know what makes a song breakcore in the first place lol
@@SkyanUltra nah this fits right in along classical breakcore, its key feature is prominent and complex rhythmic splicing regardless of instrument, but even then this includes a manipulated amen break. give us an example of what you think real breakcore is, and don't say something like goreshit or worse, machine girl (lol) because they are also further from classical breakcore than this is.
i love the way i use, it works on chords of synths that are more plucky than sustained: just draw a chord, turn off a note pin, take the slice instrument and go randomly over it. creates pefrect glitch effect... or just sketch a chord, randomize notes and pin them/erase unneded to your chord - one note per division :)
I have to disagree about the Breakcore comment, seems more like Electro-Industrial music with glitchy Trance rhythms, or even taking inspiration from Braindance (IDM) and Drill & Bass section of electronic music. Breakcore is more extreme club style dance music, while I'd call this more meant for home listening (like Braindance musicians made music for).

i like the idea, but the piano is chopped a little more than it needs to be, and its very distorted and loud. sometimes at places like 1:18 its a little empty too, but nonetheless you still did a great job, i really do like this!
I want to know what the best ways are to make things sound glitchy. It'd be cool to be able to make glitchy sounding songs. This way looks really tedious. I think other things that would make it sound glitchy is the pitch changing or maybe just the sound of the instrument randomly sounding clear, muffled, or more distorted. I don't really know what a glitchy song should sound like realistically.
I still can believe thay you've chopped it all manually. O_O I mean, it's more than chopping a loop once and copy-pasting it to the full track length since the piano line has so much variance.
Wouldn't it be easier to just use a piano with no reverb and set the notes so it sounded glitchy? You can also use the chop tool in the piano roll, it's just a couple clicks away
tbh: I have no idea how to do this myself-but I have ideas what to do, just not how. This does seem like a pretty bad way to emulate the sound of a glitchy piano, mainly due to it seemingly difficult and/or tedious, but it also doesn't sound very "glitchy" (to me, at least). Maybe try making it more random and possibly adding distortions or mixing things around (like taking cut sections and moving some of them, maybe even copying a few and sticking the copies in random places where gaps should be). The random, screwy effect *should* theoretically help, but what do I know about what any of these buttons do-or what you're even using for this? Maybe it's an idea that's obviously even worse! I am seriously *trying* to help, but while acknowledging my lack of skill in this field. If it sounds like an "okay" idea, maybe try it. Or if you know a better way, use that instead of my theoretical method-idk how this works Overall, my point is that this method does indeed suck, and sounds less than adequate to boot (plus an idea to potentially help despite having no idea what works)
breakcore producers will say "wait there's different ways?"
