I've got an old Hero 5 Session. I record at 1080/60fps with image stabilization on. I use the general focus setting and daylight setting for brightness, so there's nothing special there. I edit with the free Apple iMovie that came with my Mac. I will edit for contrast to try and minimize the flashcube effect when going from the trees to the sun, but don't really mess with the color that much unless absolutely necessary. To keep my video quality up on RUclips, I use the highest settings with the least compression available in the iMovie program. It saves it to a .mov format instead of the typical .mp4 format which makes the file size 3 to 4 times larger. This video was a little shorter so it was only 17.73 GB. Last years video from this race ran 24 minutes and was 51.44 GB, so these files can be quite large. I believe using the .mov format with the larger file size is what keeps the quality higher on this platform. They seem to like to compress the videos substantially if you're not monetized and making them gobs of money.
Doug, What camera and settings are you using? Great video quality.

@@Draybob Thanks, I am running similar camera and settings. It has to be the software and how you are formatting. Thanks again
