I adore you! 😊 Let the naysayers leave quietly and keep focusing on your goals you are showing off that black girl magic and it’s uncomfortable for people who cannot imagine this being a reality for themselves. I’m proud of you and this inspires me as I’m currently enroute building my net worth I have student loans so I’m joyfully paying those off and setting myself and my children up for an amazing lifetime of financial successes! Keep shining, I love hearing you talk you literally sound like me and my friends talking about everything so I felt right at home.
Thank you thank you! Thank you for watching and for such a kind comment!!🤍 I’m glad this was found inspiring! I am inspired by similar videos others have made, so I’m hoping to do the same. Seriously, thank you and merry christmas!🤍🎄
Awesome video it is phenomenal to see not only someone in the faith talk about finances but also share how to steward them well. I saw another comment mention this but a video on your journey from start to now would be encouraging!! Keep it up!
That's an incredible net worth for only being 31 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 would you ever consider doing a video on how you got to this point? Truly impressive and thanks for sharing!
Exceptional. Love to see black women winning. Would love to hear your journey, how you deal with living at home (any judgement? what do your parents think?) and thoughts of home ownership.
i just asked my parents today what they think - planning to add their thoughts to this week’s video! but those are good ideas! i’ve added them both to my video list ✍️ but for judgement, none. maybe a lil in the christian world, but nothing crazy. i think christians expect me to live with other christian women my age or just live solo. but non-christians are very supportive 😅 for home ownership, in short, i think it’s not great that we (americans) see homes as an investment. to me, it provides shelter and is a safe place. i read A Random Walk Down Wall Street and it was interesting to hear how other countries handle residential real estate. i’ll probably do more reading before making a video, but tbd. separately, i think i’d like to buy when i’m 40 and that would be my semi-“forever” home barring unforeseen circumstances, but tbd on that too. what are your thoughts?
you seem like such a sweetheart! although this is the first video of yours I watched, I immediately subscribed and can't wait to watch more of your videos!
4% is an annual HYSA interest rate, it's crazy to see it in a month And yea the moment things are going too good, I feel a little scared it's going to drop 😅 Always love the transparency, you are for sure going to hit the 1M within the next 4 years, and I think earlier too as you grow your skills as well
Yu! thank you thank you! thanks for watching and commenting! and ya that’s a good point that 4% is annual hysa rate, even crazier to see that in one month thank you! i’m excited to see how the journey unfolds 💫 also! glad to see you’re posting on youtube!!
Your video pop up in my feed. I completed FIRE in February 2021. Excited to watch your journey. I’m still investing and adding to my networth. I drove my 1999 Toyota 4 Runner over 24 years. They last forever. Look into Marvels Miracle Oil. For the issue you mentioned in your Corolla. My 4 runner ran perfectly. I only got rid of it because a family member needed a car and I kinda wanted to upgrade. I’m driving a 2019 Toyota 4 Runner now. I am saving to get an electric vehicle.
hi!! thanks so much for watching and commenting!! that’s super encouraging to hear! how are you spending your time these days? i would LOVE for the corolla to last 24 years!! my dad had a ‘01 4 runner and he ended up giving it away when he got his tesla in 2018! those 4runners definitely last. which electric vehicle are you thinking of getting? thanks again! 🤍
@ Rivian! They have some new smaller models coming out. Also seriously considering a Tesla. Right now Tesla has 0% interest going on til the end of December 2024. I spent my first year of retirement gardening. Then I started taking small contract jobs. I invest 80% of that income into individual stocks. I wanted to build my own portfolios. Also I signed up for an options class. Just to learn how I can make money off of shares I have with out actually selling my shares. It’s called covered calls. I spend time researching the companies to invest in. Learning about their leadership. Also I learned about trading. But I prefer buying and holding verses trading. So many ways to make money in the market.
@@steffiejoe heyooo!! that's what i'm saving for too (: I'm thinking R1S or R2. LOVE to hear about your retirement!! that's amazing! and so encouraging!
ooh! I was wondering how much of a difference there is year to year. Did you use the 2020 version in 2021, 2022, and 2023? Was it easy to make it work for those years?
Very smart...live with your parents till you hit Financisl freedom... Bank all you can ...its soooo worth it.... I achieved FI quickly by being all in... drove an old car ... managed every penny... Now I do have a good portion in tbills for safety on the amount I refuse to lose...
thank you! sometimes I feel weird about saying I live with my parents at 31, but learning to be more comfortable with it! are you still working? or how are you spending your time now?
Hi! New watcher here! Have you ever done a video where you share your current salary and/or salary progression? As a 26 year old I aspire to be in your position at 31!
hi! thanks for watching!!🤍 my current salary is $135k with ~$20k in bonuses and employer retirement contributions. i’ve been at the company for 7 years and started out at $79k. I don’t have plans yet for a salary progression video, but I definitely could do one. you are so kind! you’ll get there!!💪
Comparing the stock market to a Ponzi scheme is remarkably off. Before anyone insults me, I've already increased my brokerage account and retirement balances from $281k in 2017 to $2.3m as of this evening.
I'm confused on why you have the number listed in December and not November? December is still occurring and this is where some correction is occurring. Have you considered at the 1st half of the year collapse and show the current 3-6 months so it's visibly better and not ao pixie.
@mariahakinbi ah gotcha. I look at the numbers on the 1st of the month, that morning before the market opens and that's the number got the month that ended and that's generally how people do it. That's why I'm a bit confused.
Girl i have the same views on the stock market and why it took me so long to invest. I invest because i get a better return on my money instead of just letting it set for the bank to use. Also we cn never remove the entire mount from the bank. I think the whole system is a ponzi scheme im going to roll with it though.
yes! i fear a lot of the black community has this view as well and misses out on investing early. same! if everyone is bought in to it working, then i’ll throw my money in too 🤷🏾♀️
Please take a look at stock market performance over the past 3 years. The stock market has been doing incredibly well. We do not gauge how a stock market does because an election bump. We gauge it based on periods of time (months/years).
@@Emmere Compare the maket under Trump and under Biden. Thanks, If you think with mega tax slash under Trump the market isnt better lol trump did so well last time even Obama tried to claim his success.

Couldn’t listen after the first couple minutes. Sounds like a high schooler speaking about her girl/boy friends. “I don’t know, I dont know”
