@@4KExplorer did u know John Logie Baird had shop In Falkirk location where the Howgate is now its where he 1st tested Televisions 📺 so Falkirk is basically home of Televisions and phones and more importantly IRN-BRU 😆
As an exiled Bairn this was bitter-sweet for me. On the upside I could immerse myself for 15 minutes in the town I grew up in. The videography was excellent (steadicam?) high resolution. The town centre is clean and well maintained. On the downside, the town centre is dead. There are so many shops to let or for sale. All of the mainstay stops have gone. And above all, so few people. Where's the heart gone?
Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate that! I use a gimbal to stabilise the camera. As for the vacant shops, I don't know how much of that is down to the lockdowns or local politics, but it's how it is unfortunately.
I should clarify. I was in Falkirk in December 2019. It was the same then too and that was before Covid. On a separate topic, have you done a walk around Culross and/or Falkland? A video of Culross or Falkland would be very helpful in encouraging tourists to come back to Scotland when they can. You could promote it using the Outlander theme.
Thanks for that i used to frequent Falkirk on a Sunday while my Mrs worked a shift in the 02 shop lol the goose pub was cheap but loads of great wee pubs also good times.
Hi was wondering if you can go down oxford street as the evening standard is reporting 20% of oxford street shops are closed since the pandemic sent them into financial ruin. I’m curious to see for myself but I’m locked inside australia
Hmm, I'd be surprised if that were the case. To be on Oxford Street you have to be a super rich company to begin with. I've passed bits of it recently and it doesn't look any different. Independent shops on the other hand aren't having such a great time, it seems. I've heard Australia's lockdowns are pretty severe. Hang in there, my friend.
I don't get it why people saying negative things about Falkirk. It honestly looks lika a fine and quiet place to live, especially if someone like it more than busy towns, maybe because people just like to joke about and over emphasise the negatives of places in Scotland, that's how it feels like listening and reading about all places I have visited in Scotland. Some of it is way way exaggerated or thing of the past, good for the property prices if you want to buy tho.
Falkirk buildings are so timeless! just wow!
Thanks, yeah the architecture there's not bad!

I've not done those, no. Thanks for the suggestion - I'll maybe give them a proper look next time I'm north of the Forth, as it were!
Will Primark move into Marks and Spencers?
They all moved to the retail park 😆
