funny enough while doing this I visited his tumblr n realized they wrote two other desert duo fics that also utterly destroyed me , so I’m really happy to have finished this project . normally I’d rant abt all the little details n references to my bestie only but I may put it in a comment cause this fic really . oh boy . oh dear . id really love to gush abt it .

I might talk out of my ass a bit because I haven't read the fic (I sure as hell will now) but I love your expressions so much, especially on Grian, you really nailed him looking petrified and anxious. I love how you do Scar's hair specifically too oh he's so cute... And Grian merely nudging Scar as he sleeps, only to hit us with them cuddling together later... aghhh good. really good agh
Wow, this is amazing! You're so good at showing the emotions the characters are experiencing using their expressions, and you added so many details and small plot points from the story that you clearly have great attention to detail. You retold the story again in your own way, which is so admirable and cool of you.
I really love how you've encapsulated the emotions and feel of the fic, with the song choice combined with your art style, attention to detail and the emphases of red pointing towards Grian's fear/trauma with how he got to red and how he took Scar's red life. That particular detail brings a lot of depth to this animatic and I appreciate how long this must've taken you. Keep up the amazing work :D

IM SUPER LATE BUT THIS IS EPIC AND SO UNDERRATED, YOU SUMMED UP THE VIBE OF THE FIC SO WELL!!! THIS IS INCREDIBLE!
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL AND MY HEART IS RACING! I JUST LOVE IT SO MUCH! **ahem** hold on I need to calm down. I love the part where Grian is looking over the village at 0:26 because I feel like if there was wind, it would look SUPER dramatic. I love how at 0:57 it shows what Grian does to Scar with the creeper or potentially be what Grian does to Scar on week 8. I love the part how at 1:11, Grian's wings just touch Scar. It's just too cute seeing them sleep together like lovers. I like the fact that at 1:20, the cactus has blood on it which I believe is from the duel in week 8. We see the future if people who haven't seen this are just watching it and you would know everything about it. I love how at (woops pressed enter while I was commenting lol now it's edited) 2:07, it shows the revene that Scar falls in. I love Scar's smirk at 2:14 like he was planning to hold Grian in his sleep at 2:18 and like it's so FREAKING CUTE AWW I JUST CAN'T STOP LOVING THIS PART! ** ahem** I need to calm again. Anyways, I thought this was amazing and the more I notice cool and cute stuff in this, the more I love it 😊💕

This is so well done!!! I’ve rewatched so many times, and on top of the awesome art, I realized how well you tied scenes with the lyrics. Also love how that last shot of Grian has 3 red hearts, and they look fragile/ quivering, while scar’s are all green and full, with a one of them being in his chest. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but having Grians hearts above his head reminds me that he’s thinking strategically about how to use them, and that he’s in a red life mentality. Scar, on the other hand, has them closer to his chest, and one in his heart, showing that he’s more in the moment, playing with the intentions of a green life.

AUGHHH I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! I’ve loved this fic for ages and im so happy that it’s getting the recognition it deserves, this animatic is absolutely amazing and the song choice couldn’t have been more perfect, I like to think the lyrics “I need you to love me more, love enough to fill me up” are about how Grian needs Scar to need him and to love him, and he may not realize it yet but Grian wants Scar to love him in a different way then he did in the first timeline, Grian loves Scar romantically and they never got the chance to be something in the last timeline, but in this one they do, Grian wants desperately for Scar to love him and to fill that hole left in him from the first timeline
