There are some leaders who come off as Leader in name only. Like perhaps they might organize things behind the scenes but to the members they're just another part of the group. But with Jihyo she knows when it's time to be a member and when it's time to be a Leader, and you can tell that when she's serious the girls will listen to her. I'm sure that's a balancing act, but in order to achieve this she's had to of earned everyone's respect beforehand to the point that they trust her and are willing to be lead. Soyeon from (G)I-DLE feels like Jihyo in that the members clearly know where the line is. They know when it's okay to joke around, and when to listen. Since both groups have prospered with their leadership, that trust in their leaders have been proven 10 times over. I feel for both of them as leaders because they both have a large amount of members from foreign countries and girl's with big/weird personalities. With Jihyo she also have 8 others on top of that. So it takes a certain kind of patience and the ability to understand and adapt that probably get's them through some of the hardships. I think it helps that Jeongyeon (and Nayeon to a certain extent) helps reign in everyone. Also, since I went down this road comparing the two groups, I feel these two in general have a duality to them, in that when they're on camera they play, but off-camera they're workaholics. When the girls are serious like that, I think it's easer for Leaders to get them to focus.
First time I saw Irene Shh a crowd was during a concert, I was seriously impressed. I think Jihyo being able to call her crackheads in line is equally difficult. Never underestimate the power of the Leader.

The best Leaders are not outstanding and do not ask for attention, but give attention to each member fairly! jihyo is the best one in all my years of watching kpop, and the most caring and loved by each member of twice, and still they respect her and listen to her always! As an international Fan of Twice, I am grateful to her for her good training by JYPARK and her hard work!

I think it's because she's smart enough to know what will play on camera and what won't. She'll let them play around for the purpose of entertaining ONCE. but you can tell in private that she knows how to reign them in. I mean, these girls are working all the time, and you don't get anything done unless everyone is a professional and know what to do. So I think off camera these girls aren't as chaotic as they are on-screen and everyone is on the same page on doing things right. Jihyo clearly knows how to get them to focus and train hard but also knows that it's okay to play around and have fun when you have so much pressure pushed on you. Plus, when you have a group like TWICE who's members naturally all care for each other and are constantly doing things for everyone else, Jihyo doesn't have to try hard for the group to have a sense of unity.

I think they only get away with that on camera, and Jihyo allows it because she knows it's funny for ONCE. Behind-the-scenes you know each and everyone one of them respect the hell out of Jihyo and wouldn't act that way when it's important. I mean you can tell just by how busy that are. You don't get anything done if everyone is acting up all the time, and the fact that TWICE is constantly working on this or this is a sign that they know when to reign it in. These girls are professionals.
