Terrific video of the sad ending of the Osprey chicks. If never seen before, the power of an Owl attack is extremely surprising, especially because they're usually characterized as 'wise' and not at all aggressive. Thank you for this informative video.
Unworthy opponent, most inappropriate comment, and chick wasn't trying to chase off the predator, it had no idea of what happened. It's next to impossible to defend against an attack in complete darkness. We're watching by way of infrared illumination. Adults roost near, but not in the nest. Even though only nestlings, they are close to full adult size. Narrator said they had not yet flown, and the remaining chick isn't about to fly off in total darkness. The other chick has been dead for awhile, by way of the owl's talons, just like sharp knives.
Raptors don't chew, they rip and swallow. The most aggressive chicks get the most food. They decide who eats. With only 2 chicks, food should be no problem. With more chicks, there is no equal sharing of food. The most aggressive eat, and if there's nothing left the others starve. There is no way to know what sex these chicks are without a vet surgical exam.
I think you are a good person because you can't bear to see violence.but some people need information on how hard life is for animals in the wild and I think it's necessary. if everyone shows only the good things then people tend not to care and be sensitive.... and we also know that no matter how hard the life of animals in the wild is, it is because they are running a predetermined system.😊 thanks for visit🙏

Lady finger for the most aggressive…When I was a boy is how we did it 😂
Other than being aggressive, they also have strong claws, so you have to be careful with them.😂
God intended man to eat …so I enjoy with a good barbecue sauce 😂❤

@@栗ぼう-v3j thanks so much too have a nice day😊
This is how things have always been, but never as widely seen as now, so people are unaware, naive of what really happens. It is a shock to them.
