From Pennsylvania, hello. A senior with a new interest in diamond painting has led me to this video in March 2023. Watching numerous "how-to's" on RUclips, your's has given me more courage than ever to start. Seeing is believing and TYSM😂 for sharing.
I am beyond impressed with how many paintings you completed. I started in January 2020 and I completed 49 projects, but some of those were notebook, passport cover, bookmarks and card sets (I counted the cards as 1, even though there were 12 of them). So actual diamond paintings were about 37, I think. I am completed addicted to this hobby. Thank you so much for sharing all your competed work! It was a great journey!!!
I pondered whether to count the partial mandalas but they cost the same as a small diamond painting and they still took a good amount of time to complete. I am also completely addicted! Thank you for watching!
Absolutely loved seeing all of your finished DP. I am so amazed at just how many you managed to turn out. It’s almost like you went from beginner to pro overnight. Great job. 👍🏼👍🏼💕🌈🦋
This was so wonderful, and wow did you ever give me ideas! The variety of subjects made me rethink size. Big is better in a lot of cases. And trying out new subjects. Thank you.
Really incredible!!! LOOK AT YOUR SUBSCRIBERS! There is nobody who is prouder of you than me...the person who introduced you to Diamond Painting. But I could NEVER take all the credit for how incredible you are. You are incredible and nobody is prouder of you than me. :) I am always here sending you love and good vibes. And look at all of the people who have commented!! LOVE it. I will make sure to check out all of your VIDS. I am guessing at this rate you are doing at least 3 a week. Anyway, due to anxiety and PTSD I still have one that has been sitting on my craft table for three months. SO PROUD OF YOU...
First of all: WHOA! You must diamond paint like a sewing machine! I love your channel because your taste is like mine. I’m delighted and deeply awed by how much you’ve done!
This just blew me away. You must be very fast at diamond painting. It took me over a year to do one very large one. But I hope to do many more this year.
Absolutely gorgeous work! I just became obsessed with diamond painting this week, and in the past few days have ordered a bunch of kits from Amazon and Shein. I need to crochet gifts for Christmas so I won't be able to start my new obsession until after Christmas, but I'm super excited and am binging RUclips videos. So glad I found your channel :-).
That one pleasantly surprised me too. I don't do too many large diamond paintings so sometimes I get a size that I think will be good enough and I think that one turned out more than good.
I have no idea how you manage to do so any diamond paintings in such a short space of time. I am slow at things I do in general but still you are incredibly fast!! I just can't get over how quick you are. Great work. So impressive. I love watching these collection completion videos. Looking forward to your next completion collection video haha.
I think all the quarantine staying at home helped and I really love diamond painting. Based on your comments, you must have watched a couple of my videos today. Thank you very much!
Even though I discovered DP about 10 months ago I only thought about checking out DP ing on YT a few weeks ago & you and a guy called Christopher Kolasa's channels really appealed to me. I can't stand people who put on an over the top personality on videos or treat you like a fool but you guys are yourselves & don't try to be something that your not & I like that. While I watch others I like your & Christopher's the best.
Hi there …. I am LOVING this video!!!! I am about to start my very first diamond painting and this is just so inspiring. You have done amazing. It’s Also great to see products from a variety of shops. I’ve just subscribed and will be binge watching you lol xx
I've never Diamond painted before, and all the Christmas village ones I'd browsed for did not show much detail - until I saw your village one near the end! I literally jumped on Aliexpress to that store you listed and immediately bought it. ;) Yours looks so amazing! Do you think I should do other smaller projects first, before trying this one? Thanks for showing all of these - made me want to give them a try.
Welcome to the diamond painting community. The Christmas diamond painting is still one of my favorite finishes. I would recommend doing a smaller one first so you can practice the technique. My first diamond paintings aren't as nicely and neatly done.
Wow! That was exhausting...lol, I can see how you got better and better and bigger it’s always better in diamond painting, I have done a lot too, good job
So far for square drill diamond paintings, my favorite is Homfun on AliExpress due to their drill quality and minimal gapping between the drills. For rounds, I'm not as picky since I don't tend to have as many issues with them. Thank you for watching!
@@JoanDiamondPaints Thanks, this is helpful. I will try Homfun. I had to push through a bad square drill painting once so I know how important quality is. I've only been dp since November. Funny, I watch TV from a table now and hardly from the couch.
I don't seal my diamond paintings usually unless they are getting displayed without a covering. So far my favorite sealer is Minwax Polycrylic Gloss. I would coat after it is on a stretched canvas so the sealer layer does not crack when you are stretching the canvas.
Thank you for such a speedy reply. Your speed of completing your DPs is amazing, and are not simple patterns. I hope you will continue to show your completed artwork.
That was really cool to see your variety. I just started diamond painting this January 2021. I am on my 7th. I really like the borders you have on your paintings. Is it tape and what kind? Did you find a sealer you liked better than triple thick? I look forward to seeing your next collection 🦋
I cut out most of my diamond paintings and tape them onto black construction paper. For some I covered the canvas borders with colored duct tape. So far, I like Minwax Polycrylic Clear Gloss as a sealer and have used it couple times. It is annoying to apply though because it does have some chemical fumes. I have tried Liquitex High Gloss Varnish which is much easier to use and is supposed to be non-toxic and it looks good but I only used once so far. Congrats on finishing 7 already!
@@JoanDiamondPaints thank you for your quick reply. If you don’t mind I have another question I would like your opinion on. When I use the metal placing tool, it appears that my diamonds are being marred. It seems that they lose their sparkle. I have used a plastic tip which seems to be best and the metal tip which seems to always leave a mark. What is your experience with this and do you have any tricks to suggest.
@@jacquelyndevitte4992 I still have the same problem sometimes especially for square drills if I'm using the metal pen tip to nudge it straight. I suggest using a straighter tip (or a old gift card) for that purpose. You don't have to press hard at all when placing the diamonds and you can use a rolling pin or put the diamond painting under heavy books to get the diamonds more firmly in place. I have also changed to a bent plastic tip for the rounds (but I can't seem to get the technique down for square drills).
For some reason, your original comment is gone but I got it my email. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I have tried most of the diamond companies you mentioned. There are so many new diamond paintings popping up now though! I do want to try DIamond Dotz at some point but I haven't like any of the images that were available in stores when I see them. I have bought their freestyle drills though. Thanks for watching!

We are many on Facebook who find that the drills are being supplied in a poor sub standard condition, some are perfectly fine and fit beautifully some are coming through poorly made.
